I recently got a «spa» manicure and pedicure from this salon through a groupon promo. First of all, when I called to make an appointment on a Tuesday for that weekend, I was told that there was «absolutely nothing available for 3 weeks.» The woman on the phone told me I could get squeezed in on a Tuesday at 3:00 (which, since I have a job like a normal person, that wasn’t really an option) but when I tried to suggest any time after 6, or on the weekend, she told me it was «booked solid.» Finally out of frustration (and because I had already paid for the service and didn’t want to waste the groupon) I agreed to take a Saturday morning appointment 3 weeks away. I thought it was odd and very inconvenient but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went to my appointment as scheduled. The appointment itself was very disappointing. There was NOTHING that would warrant a 3 week waiting period. Nonetheless it still wouldn’t have been enough to warrant a negative review, but the cost of the manicure and pedicure was $ 75 (with the groupon I paid only $ 35). For a $ 75 service I expected a great mani-​pedi. But quite the contrary. Even at the discounted $ 35, what I got was way overpriced, considering I’ve gotten much better service and results for less and any run of the mill salon. The final nail in the coffin is when the technician put lotion on me and then requested that I go to the sink and wash it off. She also gave me a scrub brush and told me to wash under my fingernails (which I found offensive because I have very clean hands and anyway, isn’t that her job?). Having just gotten a pedicure, I clumsily and reluctantly walked a not-​so-​insignificant distance to the sink by the back door and washed my hands. I returned and sat down and miraculously had not smudged my pedicure. However, when I sat down, the technician looked at me and said that I «missed a spot» of the lotion on my wrist and that I should go back and wash it again. I looked at her like she must’ve been kidding. But she was serious and at this point, I felt truly insulted and as if it were some kind of joke she was playing on me, but I did as she asked and walked all the way back to the sink again, this time smudging my pedicure. I have no idea how the hair services are, but do not get your nails done here.

So, I have been coming here for over 2 years now and I usually see Pat. Although the last 2x I saw someone else due to work and scheduling conflict on my part…
I am always happy with my outcome here and my Aunt has been coming here to get her nails done for over 15 years.
Anyways…the only reason i gave it a 4.5 not a 5, is because every time i go, I ask to be put on the mailing list. I have been going here for sometime and I still have not received an email from them. For anything… its a bit frustrating to constantly have to ask my aunt and coworker to forward me the emails or print me out a copy.
Other than that, the service is always great… always asking me if i want coffee, tea or water. Making sure I am comfortable and even though I have been coming here for a while and usually get the same color and cut… with minor adjustments my consultation is always detailed and they make sure were on the same page with whatever process I am getting.
I haven’t gotten my nails done there in a while and I am wanting to get a random blue extension for fun… hopefull next visit…
