What a horrible meal. Raw chicken, burnt dried out lasagna and slow inattentive service. This over priced sub par restaurant is sure to disappoint. We were going frequently but they turned a wrong corner and kept going. Even after they took the bloody chicken off the bill the price was still exorbitant. This one is off our list don’t waste your time.

Are you kidding me? No one in the entire place, and my husband and I get a $ 165 bill for drinks after 2 hours. I ask the bartender about the charges(no buy backs and he’s the owners son) ‚. There’s a reason this place keeps going under… Learn how to take care of your customers. I questioned the bill. I will never return to a place like this. Maybe his dad should fire him… I would

I received a discount coupon from my town paper for Eric’s restaurant, so my husband and I reserved with a second couple. The four of us were seating promptly and the staff was friendly, but as the place got more crowded, the service deteriorated. I would give the restaurant highest marks for ambience and decorative touches, with many lit candles, and the complementary plate of bruschetta before the meal was a nice touch. The wine list was also more than adequate and reasonable. The food was inconsistent and somewhat disappointing. We told the waitress we planned to share a hot antipasto, but she failed to mention it was only big enough for one person. Every entrée involving pasta or solely of pasta was under seasoned and lacking in flavor. It is really inconceivable that an otherwise good Italian restaurant could fail across the board with pasta. The meat portions of the entries were good and flavorful. I wish I had the courage to tell the chef how under seasoned the pasta was. The other complaint was the sizes of the desserts. For the price, $ 7-$ 10, a scoop of ice cream or gelato in a dessert should be a standard size scoop not child size. If theses issues were addressed, the place would warrant higher marks.

I love the food at this place but the service is a hit or miss ever since Kurt left. Kurt use to be an excellent waiter they had. The service can be chaotic at times. Food wise the pastas are always great. Steaks not so good and fish meh. Try the lasagna it’s phenomenal!

Amazing food and service. The menu has so many delicious items! So hard to choose! The ambiance is romantic and comfortable. Loved the eggplant parmigiano and the chocolate molten dessert. Can’t wait to come back!

Nicely appointed resturant in the heart of Mineola, we had a group of 48 people and were treated like family. The owner George created some tasty dishes and everyone enjoyed the feast. I highly recommend the Lasagna!

First no host, no manager, no owner !!! Whos watching the business and more important whos checking on the guests? The servers and the music do not match the décor, food or the menu !!! Felt like we were on another planet… Whatever food we did recieve was fresh and tasty. The staff just seemed clueless.

I was very excited to dine here after reading great reviews and was slightly disappointed after doing so. The service was good, the décor of the restaurant is a bit stuffy, almost like your grandma’s house. I think my problem was what I ordered, which was a half order of the pasta nonna. What I received was pasta drenched in oil which was quite difficult to eat. My husband on the other hand order chicken which he loved. I think if you stay away from the pasta you’ll have a better experience than I did. Maybe I’ll go back and try something else, the service and the restaurant are worthy enough for a second try!

Just happen to stumble upon this place. I find their red sauce to be superb so order any dish with it. Also the meatballs are light and delish. I would stay away from ordering any fish dishes. I ordered 3 different fish dishes, linguini and clams, baked clams and another fish(special) entrée, each on different nights so. they cant say it was an off day, which I found sub par. The only exception is Sunday’s lobster special which they boil and serve with butter. Nice staff and clean.

Food is AMAZING, they have one of the best tomato sauces ever. I’ve been here a few times and its very consistant! My boyfriend and i cant get enough of it! The only thing that wasnt that amazing was the bread it was like dust… you should carry a bread that can hold up a few days and in a heater.

Eric’s Italian Bistro– Fine local dining in Mineola Eric’s Italian Bistro offers new york style cuisine, a pleasant ambiance, in a charming local dining venue. George Echeverria is a renowned chef and restaurateur with a track record that includes Soigné in Woodmere and Amicale in Huntington Station . Eric’s, occupies a space that had previously been L.I. Law, a popular watering hole near the Nassau County Courthouse. The restaurant and a number of the dishes on the menu are names for relatives as well as mr. Echeverria’s children We visited Eric’s on Halloween night and apparently the holiday had impacted the number of people who normally would be dining at the restaurant. We were seated in the main dining room with a few other couples who seemed to be enjoying their meal The meal began with a complimentary plate of delicious bruschetta, slices of salami and chunks of cheese. We chose two appetizers from the menu : A sensational small plate with a Pan Seared Maryland crabcake served with warm endive salad, roasted corn, and chipolte aioli. My crabcake was generously portioned with a wonderful hint of spice. A traditional caesar salad –hearts of romaine, anchovies, shave pecorino, and herb croutons. Absolutely delicious. For our main courses we shared two of George’s Chef Selections: Filet of wild pacific coho salmon with julienne vegetables, coated with a dijon mustard emulsion, and a delicious portion of horseradish mashed potatoes. This dish was totally«off the chain» fabulous. The salmon was pink and melted off my fork. Pan roasted black angus filet mignon– with pommes frites, and a gorgonzola bordelaise. In place of the accompanying spinach we shared a small plate portion of fresh mozzarella and marinated tomato– beefsteak tomatoes, parmesan crostini, baby arugula, with a balsamic drizzle. Our steak was prepared medium rare and was the equal to any we have had at some of the best steakhouses on long island. It was time to sample some of the housemade desserts and we sampled the panna cotta and a delightful cannoli which were superb. Our meal at Eric’s was definitely a winner and highly enjoyable. I must also commend Michelle, a skilled, charming, and totally professional manager/culinary specialist who proved to be the«go to person» for any minor problems or questions. She made our evening very special! Kudos to George, and Michelle for an excellent meal and fine dining experience Eric’s Italian Bistro 70 East Old Country Road Mineola (516) 280‑5675

The service was spectacular and the ambiance is great. This restaurant is overall one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Long Island. It is well managed and the owner is very interactive with his guest unlike a lot of the other restaurants I have been to. I’ve eaten under both lunch a dinner menus and all I can say is that their food gets better and better. Highly recommend!

First time last time! We drive by this place all the time but the parking situation does not allow for easy access. The other night after a tough day decided to try once again and lo and behold parking right in front! We really wanted to like this place, but I am afraid the food was definitely sub par, and WAY too expensive! The interior is pretty. Someone worked hard on this part of the restaurant. Whoever was sitting in the front room was WEARING A WHITE undershirt and barely greeted us. When we left he did not bother to say goodnight cause he was too busy on the phone. The waitress was pleasant. Busboys did much of the work however. The menu is huge — and that is difficult to deal with. They do give«free» bruschetta and cheese and salami. I often wonder why restaurants insists on tomatoes this time of year. Either way since this place is overly priced, nothing there is free. We live near by so drive by a lot and notice it’s empty a lot too. The menu ISREALLYBIG. How can they maintain fresh food, large menu with no customers we wondered? Well they can’t — linguini seemed to be very precooked. My husbands chicken parmesan was dry and had to be pre-frozen! My veal, which I rarely order, was VERYTHIN and very salty! I don’t know where these other people ate but unfortunately I did not have the same experience here! We really wanted to like this place. I love to see new places succeed. If they do, it will be without my help! Good luck!

This place is nothing special, though I’m no expert in hoity toity, fancy pants, knit napkin establishments. The dining area is crowded and VERY noisy, so if you’re going to eat here bring someone who you’d rather not listen to. The staff is super friendly, the prices are very reasonable, but the food is nothing to brag about. I ordered salmon with horseradish potatoes; it wasn’t bad other than it wasn’t filling. I also ordered a side of asparagus and mushrooms, but got banged ten bucks for four pieces of asparagus and half a mushroom sliced and drowned in salt. Maybe that’s what snobs are used to, but I’m not cool with that. The dessert and coffee, though, tie everything together and made me leave with a smile. Damn good tiramasu.

This was my first time here, the restaurant is close to where my mom lives. First off we picked this place because it was close and it had two huge signs advertising twin lobsters $ 22.95 and we thought, good deal, new restaurant, let’s check it out. Well the waitress goes through specials with no mention of the lobsters so we ask and are informed they are out of lobster due to the holiday weekend. Really, it’s a Saturday night, you should have stocked up or taken the 2 large signs down. The waitress also then proceeded to try and shame us for not coming here sooner. The service was pretty slow, the prices were different from the prices on the online menu and the waitress overly chatty. The food, however, was really good. Just a tip, false advertising is rude and disrespectful to customers.
