I ordered a rainbow cake over the phone. I confirmed with the woman that it would be three layers of cake with jelly and chocolate. Well the cake need up being completely different than described and the women that was helping me barely spoke English. Then when I go to pay she says they don’t accept credit cards. I mean o had cash on me so it wasn’t an issue but you would think they would mention that when I ordered the cake. I would say the cake tasted good(about what you would expect from a bakery for $ 28) but the service was terrible.

The name drew me in, the atmosphere is perfect, and the staff is all smiles. The staff speak Portuguese and English, so don’t fear if the first member you approach doesn’t understand you — they’ll find another to help! And the food is definitely worth working through the language barrier. I had a grilled ham and cheese, latte, and orange cream cake for lunch — $ 11 total — worth $ 10 just for the cake! You won’t regret stopping by!

Not good at all. Carrot cake was terrible. Stale. Dry… The icing was pure crisco… Never again!

I go here every time I’m in the area. I love their toast, especially with the different types of jelly available. Considering my allergies, I typically don’t get to eat food that tastes good, so when I find something that I can eat, I eat it often. I would go here every morning if I could. Not to mention their coffee is perfect as well. Great food for great prices, I highly recommend this establishment.

P. S.A. Do NOT go to Bakers of All Nations in Mineola. They screw up so many orders that the girl who helped me just shrugged and laughed when I told her not to screw up my order like they did last time. Then she screwed up(see #3) Within three months they 1. Gave us a pink birthday cake for my dad. 2. Overcharged my mom on Christmas by about 10 dollars for two loaves of bread and 12 natas. 3. Gave me the wrong cake for my mom’s 50th Birthday yesterday. 4.They’ve also conveniently«miscounted» natas last year for Easter. 5. They made the ugliest wedding cake ever for my civil wedding ceremony when I even printed out a picture of an elegant all white cake with cascading flowers. Instead I got Hideous bright red icing ribbons and bows. I don’t even have a picture of the cake to post because I didn’t want anyone to know what it looked like. 4. My aunt bought a cake there that tasted like acetone. 5. My sister’s Sweet 16 cake was spoiled. I know, my family is stupid for going back so many times. There aren’t too many portuguese bakeries around, so we just kept giving them chances(we also live so close), NOMORE. BUYERBEWAREOFTHECAKES!!! I wish I could give them NO stars

This is a great little piece of Lisbon in Mineola! It’s a bakery /café and the patrons are often Portuguese. Lots of it spoken here. The pastries are classic Portuguese with a mix of the usual American stuff. They accommodated a custom order of two dozen croissants on short notice.(They were buttery and delicious) The décor is a bit kitschy but in this barren stretch of Jericho Turnpike, a nice splash of color.

Fantastic pastries and breads. Their Portuguese roll is perfect for anything whether it be a panino, deli sandwich, something to dunk into coffee or perfect alone with some olive oil and vinegar. Staff are super friendly! Always trying to familiarize us English speakers with a little Portuguese

THEBEST Portuguese Pastries on Long Island! Both my parents are Portuguese and the one thing I miss from Portugal throughout the year are my pastries! They’re SO hard to get right! My mother always says«wait until you get to Portugal to eat the pastries» …uhhhh… ithinknot! My sweet tooth always wins! They’re addictive! Try the Pastel de Nata! If you’re not Portuguese, you will soon wish you were after trying it! They have a huge array of delicious, fresh bread and pastries baked daily. If you’re sitting there at a table, order a galao — I can’t really describe how to say it, but get it. A nice, frothy, milky coffee. Delicious. If not, just get an espresso, they’re really good here. If you’re sick of cupcakes and donuts, come out to Mineola and try something new and sweet! Portuguese style!

Very fresh, yummy pastries, cakes, and cookies. Large and unique selection. Very friendly staff. Several tables. An excellent place to meet a friend. Only drawback is that they don’t wear hairnets or gloves and one of the desserts we took home had a hair in it. Despite this unpleasant surprise, I will definitely be back.

I’m not Portuguese and so this review is not influenced by ethnic pride:) I used to come here every Sunday with a group of friends. The waitresses and staff always are pleasant and bring you your orders without acting as if they are doing you a favor. Strong espresso drinks coupled with melted sandwiches and a wide array of pastries and cakes makes it an ideal place to stop by for a leisurely breakfast, snack, or lunch, even with groups.

My aunt introduced me to this great Portuguese coffee shop. I immediately was drawn to the lovely native decoration. They carry cakes, cookies, sandwiches. My favorite is the flan of course and has become a ritual of mine along with a nice coffee. The café is pretty large and has several tables.

The address is actually 54 E Jericho turnpike — They are a bakery that serves a lot of the restaurants in the area but they also have a café on the premises — you can stop in the morning and get your coffee and pastry on the way to work. Mostly pastries and muffins and breads — I do not recall seeing cookies, but it kind of reminds me of a European café in that most of the occupants whenever I go there are Portuguese.
