I heard new management took over, and I have noticed that the drive-​thru is way slower than it was before. It always used to crawl because there’s only one window, but now it often takes between 7 – 10 minutes to get through, even if I get out of my car and walk up to the other window. It’s not the barista’s fault — she does a great job. Whoever works weekday mornings makes great coffee. But I feel bad because she is the only one in there! For the past few years, there were usually two employees in there around 7am, and now there’s just one in there during the rush before school starts. The line stretches out to the road oftentimes.
If you’re trying to save money, please reconsider. Hire someone to come in at 7am so the line moves faster! I’m skipping the place more and more because I know it’ll take forever, and I have friends and co-​workers who are also driving past it.

Fantastic coffee shop! They have non dairy options. The best Chai (big train)! Great pastries and awesome protein shakes! Love this place. Great service to top off the best products!

Love this little freestanding drive-​thru coffee shop. I’ve been here a few times on my way to reno from so cal. I have to stop every time.

Friends don’t let friends go to Starbucks. With that said. Coffee on main makes a killer latte with almond milk and cinnamon. I’ll have another! Add a ham and cheese croissant if you are feeling a little frisky.

I used to be a die hard Starbucks fan, but then I discovered this little place. Let’s just say I don’t go to Starbucks anymore. The coffee here tastes so much better and I’m always met with friendly service. A couple of the girls even know my usual order since I come through almost every morning. I love this place.

Excellent coffee and service. A little doll house right on 395. Mostly coffee to go although they have 1 table outside with a couple of chairs. Coffee is as good as or better then most of the other coffee places in the area.

Driving through Minden today, we had our eyes out for a Starbucks and came across Coffee on Main instead. Their menu had everything we could want and I was pleasantly surprised that they also had almond milk as an option. We had a White Mocha Chiller, a Caramel Chiller and a hot regular coffee. We also had a bagel and two blueberry scones. These were the biggest scones I’ve ever seen. They were also very moist and full of flavor. To top it all off, the two young gals working here were very nice and provided us with awesome service. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to place for my coffee drinks. If you’re just driving through, it’s worth the stop.

I want to like this place. The drinks are good. They have milk alternatives; Soy, rice, and almond, which is fantastic! I have never been impressed by the «friendly» staff. They always seem irritated that I am ordering something and the only time I have ever got a smile from one of the ladies is when I had my little dog with me. If I wanted bad vibes with my coffee I would just buy it at Denny’s or McDonalds.

Had coffe at 88 cups of coffee and tea and ended up at this lil place dumped first coffee from 88 bought café au lait and was really good. We like full body dark roast. Will be back. Service was good as well

It took me over a year (moved to the area Dec. ’09) to try Nevada Joe Coffee On Main, I’ve been a fan of Starbucks for years. I finally «gave in» to the cute, small town feel of this coffee drive-​thru/​walk-​up and have fallen in love. Well not literally, but their coffee, chai, among other drinks, are to die for. Much better than any I have tasted in the past. Another great feature? Quick and friendly service!

I am somewhat of a coffee snub! Gave up Starbucks when I tried this place! I lived in Tahoe for 25 years and missed my Alpen Sierra morning and late evening coffee fixes. Much to my suprise, Coffee on Main serves Alpen Sierra! They have won my heart!

A pretty good coffee spot. I have only tried their chilled drinks which are quite good. While they are not super cheap, they have better ingredients than their counterparts at Starbucks, as well the punchcards are handy as you can eventually get a free one (after 10 drinks). The hours are fairly limited, especially on the weekends. Very nice staff.

Well, today (June 27, 2009) we had a not-​so-​great experience here. The girl that took our order was pleasant, friendly and quick, but as we started to drink our Peanut Butter /​Chocolate Chiller (as we drove around to run errands) we realized that it wasn’t as good as usual. It was really dilute or «watery», and the ice chunks were so big that it kept clogging the straw. I think that she was new and so she didn’t get the proportions correct and didn’t blend the drink properly. I’m not going to change my overall review since we’ve had so many great experiences here, but I hope that the owner takes notice of this, and we’ll be sure to check our drinks before driving off in the future.

Locally owned and operated with a hometown feel. GREAT coffee and other drinks with friendly and quick service. Prices are competitive with Starbucks.
