Beacon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons

Our daughter recently bit through her tongue very and we were referred to Beacon Oral Surgeons. All I can say is that I am very impressed with their level of service, care and expertise! I would highly recommend them for anyone needing any type of oral surgery or care!!!

I have had a lot of dental work done over the years, and in my experience Beacon is among the very best. Friendly, professional and informative at every stage of the process. I have recommended Beacon to several friends and will continue to do so.

After a few months super sick in and out of the hospital, I decided to *really* treat myself in April to a particularly nasty dental extraction, too! A day before another surgical procedure at Providence Portland. My timing is amazing with these things.
I was referred to Beacon by my regular dentist, Dr. Blatchford (
), to deal with what is most accurately described as simply, A Really Bad Tooth. The damn thing was giving me trouble for two years (which all started with the Great Faceplant of 2013). Searing pain. Infection. Terrible. Root canaled it and continued to have issues, so it was time to say goodbye. It was bothering me so much I could not stop thinking about it, ²⁴⁄₇.
The initial assessment, scheduling, and pre-​appointment communication were all excellent; very good customer service from everyone I encountered there, both in person and on the phone.
Completely unexpectedly, though, moments before the procedure, I fell into a total freak-​out. Crying like a little baby. Shaking. Terrified! In previous months, I’d been in the hospital several times, including ICU twice, and a experienced a slew of medical horrors. Did I cry at those? NOPE! Was I scared of having a spinal tap? Nope! Cry in the ambulance? Nope! But for no apparent reason other than my reptilian brain’s Fear Center taking over, I lost it in the dental chair.
They were so kind. Calmed me down, made me feel at ease, squeezed my trembling hand, and talked me through every second of the procedure. Another wrench in my anxiety was because of my medical situation at the time, I couldn’t take any meds that might have helped, couldn’t even have Advil. They were sympathetic to that as well, and honest about what the pain situation would be like once the topical analgesic wore off.
They sprung me out with a little goodie bag/​kit for my recovery, including a coupon for a free ice cream cone up the street, nice touch. I would recommend this group for any surgical dental needs with no hesitation.

Very Professional from the beginning of the process through the completion of treatment. I went to the Gresham office and I am extremely satisfied with the 4 Implants that were done Feb. There was a 3 – 4 month waiting period with two progress check-​ups in between that were very helpful and I always felt confident that my best interest was being served. My Dentist is now creating the final touches on the new teeth and he was complimentary of the work by the Beacon team. I would highly recommend Beacon to anyone facing Dental Implant procedures.
The cost was competitive, as I did check out other options and I am confident that I got my monies worth!

I was referred to Beacon by my general dentist for an implant. I went to the Milwaukie office for my initial consult because it’s the most convenient location for me. Everyone there was super friendly. I have quite the dental phobia and they absolutely put my mind at ease.
I wanted the procedure done on a Friday so I would only have to take one day off of work and it was no problem to schedule my procedure at the Gresham office (the locations offer surgeries on different days). I opted for general anesthesia (again, dental phobia) and was a bit anxious because I’ve never had that before. The staff at the Gresham location the day of the procedure were just as awesome as the staff at the Milwaukie location and made me feel very comfortable.
The procedure was really fast (under an hour) and I had no issues. I was a little sore for two days, and after that was completely fine. I highly recommend Beacon. The staff and the doctors are friendly, skilled, and responsive. And the beautiful flowers they sent the next day were a wonderful touch!

I was referred by my dentist to beacon when I was 16 to get my wisdom teeth pulled. The doctor and staff were so wonderful to me, the whole process went by so quickly and with the instructions they gave me, I had a successful recovery. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!

I was referred to NWOS by Dr. Sue Walker for a Dental Implant. The office is efficient, clean and the the staff is excellent. My implant was performed by Russell Lieblick who I would highly recommend. Also, they sent me a bouquet of beautiful flowers the day after my appointment!

I had to have a wisdom tooth and back molar extracted last week. I have adverse reactions to anesthesia so I opted not to get put under. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. The procedure took about 45 minutes altogether with numbing time. They did a great job in making sure I wasn’t in pain, and when I had a slight panic attack they stopped and helped me calm down with out making me feel stupid. They also called the next day to see how I was feeling. When I went back today to make sure everything was healing correctly they were great again. I hope I never have to have dental surgery again, but if I did I would go here.
