Assured Moving

A series of inconsistencies, poor communication, lack of follow through and bumbling nice movers made for an awful experience with Assured Movers. They could change their name to either «Unassured» or «Maybe We Will», but they certainly did not assure of us anything other than to write a poor review and encourage others to STEER CLEAR! 1) Should have spied the «low-​bidder» syndrome, as they ended up charging quite a bit more than estimated. 2) Quoted «four men, 2 trucks and myself (Jaison).» Come moving day, it was 3 guys and two trucks, period. 3) Since there were TWO, count em, TWO fewer guys, the ones here got REALLY tired, and had to do this over TWO days, not one, ending with a much higher price. 4) The nice, but REALLY tired guys dropped AT LEAST TWO ANTIQUES and broke both of them-​a lamp and a footboard. I watched from a distance as the items came crashing out of the truck and dropped at least 4 feet. «Oh, Sorry.» 5) Several other items arrived, in the dark so we couldn’t see them, broken (2 granite slabs), crushed, (a wash basin), and a chip in a shadow box, to name three. 6) We had several items to donate to a charitable foundation called «My Father’s House» worth several hundred dollars, and were told we would receive a receipt, 7) No receipt provided for moving services. 8) Jaison was rude and disrespectful to my wife as they spoke on the phone to wrap things up and he has NOT returned calls or emails for the receipts above. Lame, I am sorry to say.

Assured Moving was fantastic. I moved cross country and needed help unloading my portable storage container. Unfortunately, I forgot to make any phone calls until the day before I needed help to unload. No worries. Additionally, I was not certain, at that point, as to when my container would be arriving the following day. Again, no worries. Jaison was very accommodating in the whole process. I called the after the container arrived. He had 2 movers come over within 2 hours as they were finishing another job. The movers were efficient, expedient, very helpful, and courteous. Prices are VERY reasonable. Jaison even called later that day to make certain everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with my experience. I cannot say enough good things about Assured Moving. If/​when I move again I know I’ll utilize their services. Thanks for making a potentially stressful event not one.
