This library was a triumph when it opened. State of the art, and drawing from four neighborhoods. Replacing a tiny and outdated library nearby. Even though its been where it is for years, and I’ve driven past it nearly everyday, I found myself again admiring the architecture this morning as I waited for the traffic light. The checkout area was recently renovated, showing that continuing care is being put into this place. Meeting rooms can be used for free by non-profits, and they are beautiful and well-appointed. I wish that it had cozy places to read off in the corners(first thing I look for in a library) instead of having all tables and chairs right out in the middle, but it is on a tiny footprint on the city and uses its small space very well.
