History

Established in 1976.

The Last Word was founded before the word processor. After only a couple of years, we began word processing and it appeared we were the only computer in town. Our project flourished as a general secretarial service, and we adapted to new technology through the years.

Our company gravitated to projects that required computer savvy as well as a high level of literacy.

Today our work is exclusively transcription, and we are well known nationally on campuses, as well as medical institutions that do public health research.

Our specialties include the wide-​array of American accents, regional and ethnic.

Business Owner

My background is actually masters degrees in philosophy and religion. Alongside my word processing skills I studied English Literature on a graduate level.

The word processor of the 1980s was a most natural tool to add to my interests; writing and transcribing skills grew through the respect I earned from my clients.
