Family arrived at lunch time on Saturday and it wasn’t very busy. Over all food was mediocre. Ordered the Crispy squid as an appetizer and it was freezer burnt and inedible… Tom Kha Gai soup in a hot pot with no fire(Soup cold)!!! 2 curry’s that where mostly sauce, a lot of oil and little meat. The noodle dish was OK… Service, is the worst i have had in years. Really! entire staff too busy to be bothered to serve. More interested in playing with phones. Would drop off food as walking without EVER stopping once to refill drinks, or ask how things are. I personally had to get my own water and tea, and when asked for more rice was told $ 2 for small bowl and I said fine, never came until done with food. Asked for spice tray 3x and went to kitchen to get it. REALLYUNBELIEVABLE. When i asked for bill the girls did nothing but giggle in back playing with phone. The moved quickly when i started walking out the door with family and not paying. Shame. really wanted to like this place. Shame the kids of these hard working family couldn’t care less about the family business. Shame they would throw out food without any care when they know its bad… Just down the street is a place called Thai BBQ. Much better and the family cares. Will not come back here.

I ordered the green Kang curry, beef phở and pad Thai with crab rangoons for appetizers. Delivered to my house promptly and everything delicious. The only advice I would give is ordering extra rice if you’re getting a dish that comes with white rice. It is not nearly enough. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place!

I came here with a coworker because her brother was a big fan of this place. The place was pretty empty for lunch when we walked in so we were seated right away. Their menu had a lot of various dishes — I had difficulty deciding what I wanted. I ended up ordering the salt & pepper shrimp. It came out and it looked so nice that I didn’t want to eat it! The shrimp was cooked with green peppers and onions. It was so delicious — I could keep eating it. My coworker ordered the Thai Lotus Chicken. She said it was very good. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu. I can’t wait!

Went there for dinner using groupon. Décor is ok and pretty casual. Service was like warm. Food(pad see ew, pan nang, cashew chicken) were just ok. Prices pretty reasonable. Button line, would go there again but don’t expect anything fancy or spectacular.

The Thai Fried Rice and the Pud Thai always has great flavor. I’m truly greatful that they deliver this far!

The service was very mediocre. She didn’t ask if we wanted anything to drink other than water. It’s not good that you have to ask for water refills when she brings the check, zero water refills were offered through out our entire meal. The orange chicken was overly breaded and sauced. The papaya salad was delicious. Beef Larb Salad was perfectly flavored. Also, the booth was a tight squeeze and cramped.

Very good experience with the food out here. The Thai curry was excellent and the portions are generous.

Terrible waitstaff. Sub par service. We all ordered pad Thai and one of the plates took 40 minutes longer to come out. Waitress did not care. Also: the pad Thai’s tasted different. Such a shame, been coming here for years.

Ordered volcano chicken, Bangkok steak and spring rolls for delivery. It took almost two hours for delivery. I called the restaurant to see if they received the order and she said it must have left, I don’t see it here. Not very helpful at all. The entrees arrived cold and the spring rolls were mushy and warm. Gross. Hubby liked the volcano chicken. I did not like the steak at all. It was flavorless, overcooked, chewy, tough and mostly fat and gristle. The lava sauce was ok. Just not impressed with the food, customer service or delivery. Wont be eating from here again in any form.

Loved the singapor e noodles, just enough yellow curry. The only way to improve is more veggies. Don’t let lack if customers scare you off.

In town for business and didn’t really want to wander out and get lost looking for grub on a cold evening so I searched delivery places in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, especially being delivery. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very professional and friendly as well as the delivery driver. Not to mention the food was piping hot and very tasty when I got it. Definitely worth a try!!!

This place was dirty with children running around with no shoes on. Dead bugs on the table. We left.

I really want to enjoy this place so I gave them a second chance. This time, I was missing 3 items from my order and my «no fish sauce» vegetable curry tasted fishy. With that being said, the delivery guy is super nice. That’s the only positive feedback I can give for this order.

Fantastic!!! I was craving Thai food and began searching for Thai places I have not yet visited on my handy-dandy Unilocal app. Thai Lotus was the winner! With decent hours(open until 9pm on a Sunday) and an easy to find location, it is no wonder this restaurant has so many reviews! While I chose to dine in this particular evening, I noticed most patrons called in take-out orders. The dining room is cozy, with booths and tables. They have 2 tvs airing random channels. We ordered crab rangoons, Green Kang Curry with Chicken, and Pud Thai with chicken. The crab rangoons came out first. HEAVENLY!!! Wonderful, fresh, soft, flavorful, perfectly crispy. I could have probably eaten 25 of them. Green Kang Curry — this was recommended to me by a fellow patron who was picking up her to-go order. I’m so glad I took her advice, this is some of the best curry I’ve had in the city. Loved the flavor, the veggies were top notch(bock choi, bamboo shoots, green peppers, basil), the chicken was perfect, the rice was sticky. Yes, it was indeed fantastic. We also ordered the Pud Thai with chicken. Again, the flavor was perfect, as well as the chicken and the noodles. Excellent all around. This is the first Thai restaurant I have been to where the wait staff does not ask how spicy you would like your food. Which was fine with me because how ever they did it was perfect for my pallet. I’m sure if you preferred extra mild or spicy you would simply have to ask. I would definitely dine here again and/or call in a take out order if I was in the area. Entrée portions were very large and can easily be shared. I recommend Thai Lotus for anyone looking to try something new: D

Thai Lotus will never win any award for décor or stellar service but it does serve up a variety of Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food. Plus they get extra stars for delivering to Bay View. We finally decided to eat-in for lunch vs. getting our typical delivery. The test was to see if the food quality was better when fresh and it was slightly better. Don’t get me wrong, Thai delivery is the schnizzle so I won’t complain. I decided to go with the Americanized Thai dish Volcano Chicken… why I don’t know! Hubby got the Thai spring rolls which were delicious and in a savory sauce. The Volcano Chicken didn’t overwhelm me. It was a tad dry and the sauce was super sweet with no spicy kick at all. We have tried other dishes for delivery and the Pad Thai didn’t have enough sauce on it; however, the peanut chicken was darn tasty. Other items are okay but won’t make you dream of Thai food. Would I go back there and eat in? Probably not but I will get some delivery for them when I am craving Thai. Delivery can be problematic with spice levels. On-line you can comment on the spice level and it just never seems to be hot enough… calling in gets you a little closer to what you want but there is a language barrier.

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants but today we ordered in from this«restaurant» and it was the nastiest food I’ve ever had. Yes this sounds dramatic but the only thing that had any good flavor and was edible were the fortune cookies. There were 3 of us and we received only 2 of the entrees and 5 appetizers. The appetizers: the chicken satay was dry and rough. The crab Rangoon was cold and flavorless. Now onto the cucumber salad. We paid $ 6 each for an order of this garbage. I wouldn’t feed it to an inmate in prison. It didn’t taste like any cucumber salad I have ever eaten. It looked like they took old cucumbers and blended them. The sauce was not sweet but extremely salty and inedible. None of us could take more than 2 bites. Entrees: 1 entrée never even made it in the bag. The basil chicken came cold and had hardly any chicken. It was full of green peppers and had no spice it flavor to it. The pud kee Mao was also cold and the noodles were hard. Service: THEWORST! As I mentioned one entrée was not sent with the order. We called grub hub back and told then that we wanted to return the cucumber salads to the driver when they bring the missing entrée. They told us we would have to go to the restaurant and pick the food up ourselves even though the restaurant made the mistake. We went back and forth for 20 minutes and they finally said they would deliver it even though we don’t want it anymore. Basically we aren’t confident it will taste good and we don’t trust that someone won’t spit in the food or something. No thanks! Stay away from this place. It is awful and the service is non existent. There are many options out there and this shouldn’t even be one and if it is then I wish you luck because you just wasted money.

Went on a Sunday. On Unilocal it says they’re open at 11AM but they’re actually open at noon. Was a little inconvenient since we’re not from Milwaukee and had to wait in the car for another hour. My food didn’t take as long but it took longer than some other places that I’ve been to. I’m not complaining though because the food is freshly made. For starters, I ordered the spring rolls, which came with cilantro and bean sprouts as toppings and some type of sauce over the spring rolls. I’ve never had it like that before but it was really good! I would order it again. We also got papaya: not as good but it’s not too bad either. I wouldn’t order it again though unless I have a really bad craving for it. I got the lychee bubble tea for my boyfriend: wasn’t satisfied though because they put too much condensed milk but I won’t complain because sometimes it’s either a hit or miss and this isn’t the first time I’ve had bubble tea that had too much condensed milk. I also got hot tea which tastes like all the other hot teas that I’ve had: it’s good though. Ordered the combination phở for my bf: it was only satisfactory. If you guys ever go to Sheboygan, try Phở VN’s phở because their broth is perfect. Sometimes you don’t even need sauces** I got the Red kang curry. It was delicious. I would order it again and it would be able to feed 2 people.

I’ve only ordered delivery from this place so… yeah. There is a severe lack of good Thai restaurants in tosa. Actually, any good Asian food in general. It’s like the world hates me. But Thai Lotus does a decent job and they deliver to me, which is especially nice come exam time and I’m sick of turkey sandwiches or whatever. Their pad thai isn’t very good, in my opinion. It kinda looks like it but the taste and texture(too dry?) aren’t what I’m used to. Their pad see ew on the other hand is delicious. I almost always order that and one of their curries. I wish their delivery fee wasn’t so high($ 5!) so it can get a little spendy but I won’t complain given the lack of other choices around here.

I teetered on 3 stars for this one. Here’s why: While I’ve really enjoyed the food(fresh, extensive selection, authentic), the service lacks much to be desired. I get it — it’s more of a take-out place. Be warned, if you plan to dine in don’t expect 5 star service. Be patient and give yourself a little extra time. If you’re on a time crunch, take-out is your best bet.

I’ve had dinner and a lunch buffet at Thai Lotus in the past and was pleased with the Thai food I was served. Most recently, I visited for the $ 5 Phobruary promo that Thai Lotus, Thai BBQ, and Vientiane were participating in on Fridays and Saturdays in February. I went to one location each week until I tried them all. Thai Lotus offered a beef, seafood, of combination(beef and seafood) phở. I chose the combination. It included a few lare pieces of tender beef and meatballs, as well as one piece of crab meat, squid, and shrimp. I did not feel the least bit slighted by seeing only one piece each of the seafood because I was only paying $ 5. The regular price for the small bowl is $ 6.75 and if the combination phở at regular price still only included one piece of each, I would still be fine with that. Of the three Silver City restaurants, I preferred the broth at Thai Lotus and the meat ingredients at Thai BBQ. Vientiane came in third among the three on my list. Thai Lotus’s broth looked and tasted more than a chicken broth than the beef broth that it actually was. This was the only other phở broth(Phở Hai Tuyet was the first) that I didn’t feel the need to add any other flavors to the broth because I liked the flavor of it as is. I didn’t add hoisin, sriracha, fish oil, soy sauce, …nothing. I just added bean sprouts so I could get some veggies in my meal. The noodles, meats and seafood pieces were cooked perfectly, and overall, the serving was ample. I did not feel, at any of the three Silver City asian restaurants actually, that they skimped because of the special lower price. The server did forget about me after he sat me and brought me water. I waited for 10 minutes for him to come take my order. He admitted I was in his«blind spot» because I was seated in a corner booth and he apologized on two separate occasions for it. I appreciated that and forgave him. I think Thai Lotus is a great option for phở, as well as Thai food.
