Love this place! They have everything and great drinks! Bartenders are very attentive

A bro bar with plenty of screens and prying young eyes. This bar is pretty cool with a rough and edgy looking bar crowd. I am not sure what else to say about this bar but noticed it is pretty racially diverse bar in Milwaukee and it is large. I can’t imagine how crowded on a Friday night this place might get.

Steny’s noun | \ssss-ten-eee’s\ 1. A very uncomplicated straightforward Milwaukee staple bar. Nothing overly spectacular except for a bartender or two but just gets the job done. Has the NHL package which elevates this bar beyond other very uncomplicated straightforward Milwaukee bars. 2. A very uncomplicated straightforward hockey team that competes in the Metro League and US Pond Hockey Championships. Nothing spectacular but gets the job done.

As horrible as always. I tried this place a few years ago and it was terrible. And it seems nothing has changed. The was one guy bartender who was friendly but everyone else seemed to have an agenda. It was bad food and bad service all around. Get over yourself stenys. You are just a crappy neighborhood watering hole. A hole at best. Get a clue.

The food– 4 stars: Great pub food menu with apps, burgers, wraps, etc. If you’re there during brunch hours, the Steny Classic breakfast is a-mazing. So good. I feel happy just thinking about it. The wings are also tasty, with plenty of sauce options to please nearly anyone. The drinks– 4 stars: Excellent beer menu that changes fairly regularly. Good mix of major brewers and local brewers alike. Decent prices that are pretty comparable across Milwaukee. The shuttlebus– 5 stars: Free shuttle to all Brewers home games — just jump on at Steny’s, get dropped off in right field, and jump right back on after the game. Easy peasy, no parking fees, and super convenient. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a great singalong on the way back. The shuttle also serves other major events, too, and is available for rent to private groups. The service– 3.5 stars: It’s either the best or the worst. Generally we’ve been lucky and had good service. One particular server(whose name I unfortunately can’t recall) was awesome and knew her menus inside and out, leading to excellent recommendations. Another acted like we were a total inconvenience despite visiting during a fairly quiet day. Meh. All in all, a great location at 2nd& National with lots of street parking in the area, good food, food drinks, and a generally fun crowd.

We wandered into Steny’s after 8pm on a Friday(maybe that was our first mistake?), having been drinking next door and looking around for something to eat. Steny’s was crowded with bros, I think because there was a Brewer’s game on, since the place cleared out after the game ended. Lots of shots were being had. Super loud. This is all normal and I can be fine with that. Except, it was slooooooooooooooow. And we were seated right next to the station where the servers manage their tables and run receipts and things, so we had a good view of the action. Our server spent a good deal of time just chatting it up with some other tables. It’s wonderful to be friendly — and she was very pleasant to us — but it just took too damn long to get our order of wings and some simple beverages. It was so slow we jokingly talked about dining and dashing(we would never, but it would have been too easy). On the plus side, they have free popcorn and so we had some of that to keep our stomachs from eating through themselves until the food arrived. The food itself was quite good, excellent teriyaki sauce on the wings. And they have what looks like a fantastic patio — it was like 40 degrees that night(in August, I know, crazy!), though, so we didn’t sit out there. Wish we had!

We have been to stenys a lot and today was really a disappointment. We came in before a rush and still service was very slow. We left our table to get our own drinks that never came. Our food took over 45 minutes and many orders came out wrong, one order didn’t come. Really a disappointment to all of the out of town/state visitors.

Been going here for some time. Never loved this crusty place… but still went because of friends. Walked in on a tuesdey, spent over $ 100.00 between 3 guys for a celebration. It turns 1:52am and the hired bar lady suggests it’s 5.5 minutes from time to leave. My friends and I have full drinks on the table, so I jokingly suggest we have 8 minutes left until 2. As soon as that happens the owner walks over and asks why we have to be so rude so we decide to leave. On the way out the door the bouncer chap says«don’t come back». Let’s just say I will never go back and the 100 friends of mine that I normally being here for a sporting event won’t be coming either. Cheers for being the stereotypical bar that gets upset because you need to be a tough guy bar. I hope you succeed in the future.

I really like Steny’s and I can’t believe I’ve never written a review! Free popcorn, great wings, tons of beers on tap, lots of tv’s to catch all your favorite sporting events, and they have an outdoor patio for use during the summertime. It is a large place and can accommodate big groups. It does get really busy during sports and holiday events. We have always received good service and we don’t hesitate to come even if we know it will be busy. Parking(on the street) is generally not a problem in this area either. Steny’s offers shuttle services for events like Brewer’s games and the Polar Plunge. My fiancée and I have been coming here the past 2 or 3 years on New Year’s Day for the Polar Plunge and Badger game. I was lucky enough to ride the shuttle back from the lakefront with Mr. Steny himself! He is a really fun loving guy, and we all had an amazing time today: D

It’s a sports bar. Seating is kind of in an annoying layout, but can accommodate larger groups. I’ve never had super attentive service. They do have tons of TVs though, and is always busy for the sportsing. Food is fine, but nothing to write home about. They also have one of the best shuttle programs in town to Miller Park. A definite middle of the road joint.

Only giving 2 stars because service was good. Atmosphere: This place is loud. So be prepared to talk loud or sit really close to friends to be able to carry on a conversation. Nice to have TV’s everywhere showing games. This place is a sports bar but we came on a Saturday night and they were playing really loud music. Drinks: We did not order food. I would not because the place is dirty. Looking at the cooks in the kitchen wearing dirty shirts and looking like slobs really just makes me lose any appetite. On to the drinks… one word… BAD. I ordered a so called world famous bloody Mary and it was horribly bad and undrinkable. My wife ordered a mixed vodka drink and it was also bad. I called the waitress over and told her how our drinks were not good and she apologized and brought us new drinks. I decided to get a bottle beer and my wife got another mixed drink made with Malibu and pineapple juice. Well her drink was once again not good. So she left it. Our friends who have been here before all ordered bottle beers and maybe we should have taken the hint. They have self serve popcorn and it is ok but be sure to avoid slipping on the mess around the floor that employees ignore. We also had to clean our own table off. Overall: I guess it’s an ok place if you are buzzed before entering or have very low to no expectations. Otherwise I would not go back it’s just a place you need to be drunk in order to ignore your surroundings and have an ok time.

I stopped in here on a Saturday evening, after visiting Milwaukee Brewing Company’s open house with my husband and 2 of our friends. My experiences with Steny’s have always been pretty decent. The staff is nice and their food is pretty good. Their menu has a variety of things to choose from. Appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and pizza. There’s something for everyone. And they have many beers to choose from as well. My only issue would be that it tends to get very loud in there, especially during sports games. My party and I found that we had to talk rather loudly in order to hear each other. Nonetheless, we did have a good time.

Stopped into Steny’s for some snacks mid-day drinking. Around 4:00 it was already pretty full. We were able to fit all 5 of us at a table in the middle and helped ourselves to the self-serve popcorn. It was extremely loud and tons of testosterone was pumping through the air. Our server was present and accommodating. We ordered a pitched of O-Gii and it was about $ 13, which I thought was a great deal for the ABV. For food we got the chicken quesadillas, the wings and the club. For being touted for their wings, I was incredibly underwhelmed. They were gooey and lukewarm. I got the mild sauce and only ended up eating about 3 – 4. I did enjoy the flavor of the sauce though. No one else complained about the food, but nobody was interested in taking home the copious amounts of leftovers either. It was fine for a mid day snack, but apart from the shuttle I don’t see the draw.

As far as the entertainment this bar is top notch. They have large tvs and even a projector throughout the bar. The point of the night for us was the pedal tavern. I am not sure the cost but our driver, Bianca, was phenomenal, and was a joy to ride along with throughout the night. I will warn you… ITS A LOTOFWORK!!! Don’t show up expecting to coast along, it’s a workout to move everyone

You guys, I just discovered that I like wings. I mean I always ate the boneless kind, but I just discovered that I like traditional bone-in wings. Decided to try out the wings at Steny’s, especially because it was a Tuesday and a 50 cent wings night(which they have on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Our waitress was very friendly and we got great service. Now, they weren’t that busy but they weren’t dead either. Tried the butter garlic parmesan wings. They flavor was good, but the wings were barely warm. I wonder if they had been sitting out for a while. Also tried the mild and honey bbq sauces, which were also good. And these wings were actually warm to hot temperature wise. Now to get the 50 cent wing deal you have to buy a minimum of one drink. However, it doesn’t have to be alcoholic and since I’d already been drinking that evening I chose a $ 2 coke as my drink. Overall, I was satisfied with the wings at Steny’s and would come back if others wanted to. Also interested in using their shuttle for games or festivals.

Not a good experience here, I would be willing to give it a second chance, but my first experience was terrible. Service was the worst I think I have ever had, I understand that things can get busy and you can loose track of tables or orders, but when our table had to track down the waitress multiple times for things, I take issue. When our food came out my fries were stone cold, I got the tex-mex burger which was alright, but the whole experience was just no bueno. I like the feel of the joint, overall seems like a cool bar, and maybe that was the problem? It could just be more of a place to go for drinks than food. At some point I’d like to give them another shot, maybe they can turn around my first impression. But it may be a while til then.

Arrived too early to go to where I needed to be and so I wandered towards the bright neon lights of Steny’s. Mostly it was the sign that advertised 28 craft beers on tap that drew me in. A look at the menu and I was able to choose one of them. Perhaps the waitress knew that I didn’t want any food or she didn’t want to bring any food to make a second trip. Either way, no food was to be consumed today. When I had finished the drink, I wanted to pay for it. So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, I dropped $ 5 on the table and left. It looks like a decent enough sports bar and when there’s a Brewers or Packers game on the box, they’re going to have it tuned into over a dozen TV’s all around the place.

I rarely come here yet on the off chance that I do, the results are quite similar: Stenys staff always seem to suck in my experience, with quite shitty attitudes. I may be just a number to you unhappy people, but some other establishements might see me as a valuable customer. And that’s where I’d prefer to spend my dollars and tip excessively. After my Milwaukee Brewing tour down the street which was awesome, so we walked in happy! They partner with them and allow to get a beer and some local walking distance places. When I go to that tour again(cause it was great) I will fight the group tooth and nail NOT to go to Stenny’s. The waitress either hated life or her job. Slow, didn’t know anything about the menu or the beers that we asked about(because we had to get a Milw Brewing one) she was NO help whatsoever. The jerk bartender was worse when I went to trade in my beer cause I couldn’t choke down the one of the only options I thought I had(was misinformed). Overall, I walked in happy but left unhappy directly because of the staff there.
