Sound Check Entertainment can also provide high quality DJ service and a variety of live band acts from the Milwaukee and Waukesha area.

Rentals:

Whether you have a small corporate function with speakers, a wedding ceremony, reception or large event, we have everything you will need to provide music, sound, lighting and more.

Live Bands Karaōke:

Sound Check has an extensive lineup of entertainers, including Live Band Karaōke. Started in 2009, LBK has been performing at multiple venues in the Milwaukee area and countless private parties all over Wisconsin and Illinois.

DJ’s:

Our DJ service is provided by DJ Mike J. Mike has offered high quality entertainment for weddings, private parties, corporate events and teen events since 2008. With over 300 weddings done in 7 years and references to match, DJ Mike J is an affordable option without sacrificing quality.

History

Established in 2008.

Sound Check started with the idea of reaching out to the community’s need for music lessons, rentals, performers and production while making an impact in a positive manner.

The physical location for Sound Check was established in 2013 by Michael Grassman and brought together a collection of experienced and influential instructors.

Since 2013, Sound Check has launched their «My First Sound Check» rock band camp for young musicians, which has has many performances, including the Wisconsin State Fair, Fox 6 Studio A and featured in OnMil​wau​kee​.com Magazine.

Sound Check has also hosted 2 recitals for their current students giving them their first opportunity for performing for others.

Meet the Business Owner

Michael J.

Business Owner

Michael Grassman is not only a guitar, drums and percussion instructor with over 10 years experience teaching, but also the owner and operator of Sound Check Entertainment & Studios. Michael is currently the percussion instructor for the University of Wisconsin — Waukesha and Wauwatosa East High School. He has been a private instructor at White House of Music, Theatre on Main, Uncle Bob’s Music Center and UW-​Waukesha.

Michael has over 20 years of playing experience in all genre’s of music including jazz, rock, funk, blues, ragtime, marching band, concert and symphonic bands and also percussion ensembles.

Students of Michael range from ages 3 to adults and all playing abilities. Students of his will work on rudiments, reading skills, proper technique, the essentials of groove and of course what the student would like to learn.
