Milwaukee’s innovative Chocolate Café experience surrounding traditional chocolates, bakery, ice cream, drinks, and toppings in a classic, casual setting.
Overpriced, artificial-tasting chocolate. There are higher quality chocolate places with better prices in town. Cute interior but food was incredibly disappointing. Bleh.

Great food, service even better. Stop in for sure when you’re in the area.

Was desperately looking for iced coffee on a hot summer day in Milwaukee and stumbled upon Red Elephant Chocolate. Really, I was expecting an average iced coffee(because their«specialty» is chocolates), but that’s not what I got! The cashier was very helpful and suggested we try their«Chocolate Iced Coffee» which is unsweetened Coffee mixed with their Finely Ground Premium dark chocolate and over ice. It was absolutely delicious — bold, chocolatey, coffey-ey, and the perfect amount of sweetness(even though it was unsweetened!). We ordered this and while we were waiting for our drinks to be made, the cashier offered us a sample of their Cocoa Tea which is tea made from premium cocoa beans. If you love that cocoa aroma that you get when you eat chocolate, you will love this tea. Mark my words, Cocoa Tea will be the next trend in the tea world. it’s that good!

Really yummy Salted Carmel Whisky infused Truffle! Had a great chocolate malt on a hot day. For the 2 items cost me $ 9.95. I think is not way overpriced… about the going rate for quality products.

Super cute little shop with really awesome chocolates made on site. I mean, how can you really go wrong with delicious chocolates?!

Ok I’m a chocolate snob. I enjoy a good quality chocolate at any price, good being the operative. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly. And i purchased a chocolate tea, soooo good, and it gave me the jolt i needed to keep shopping.

Candy — it’s all about getting a reaaaaally delightful, magical piece of candy. It’s not cheap candy — if you want that head to a grocery chain. It’s about quality. Get the one delicious piece of high quality candy instead of 50 pieces of junk — your tastebuds and waist line will thank you.

I hate this place. I wanted to like it but I don’t. It’s in a great area, easy to get to, cute little shop. But the prices? Yikes! And the taste? Blech! You can get a gallon of gas for less than a single truffle. Yes, they are beautiful. Tiny works of art. But instead of the advertised flavor they all tasted like melted plastic. I should have just sealed them in shellac to display on a shelf. I will not be back.

Great place to stop while in the downtown area. Had the Mexican hot chocolate which was good, but definitely had some kick to it. The chocolates were cute, but at times seemed a bit pricey for what they were. Would definitely return to this fine establishment.

The chocolate was delicious! I am tempted to give them a 5-Star rating, but I haven’t tasted ALLL of the chocolate that I’d purchased there on a recent trip to Milwaukee. EVERYTHING I bought was dark chocolate — with almond, mints, salted caramel and salted. YUMMMMMY. People who want to sample a teeny chocolate before buying? It seems ODD to me! Its a small operation. I was FINE with the prices — its not your dime-store chocolate shop! I’m NOT a local but I am a fan of supporting your local businesses!

The chocolate is beautiful to look at, but pretty overpriced. It’s nice that they give samples, but $ 3 for 1 truffle — that I can’t taste until I buy… I don’t know… something about that rubs me the wrong way. Staff is friendly, and it’s fun to look. Admittedly, I haven’t tasted much other than the chocolates, but they do have hot chocolate, and I think even ice cream.

I just popped in to try the German chocolate truffle— the sign outside enticed me. But the truffle was dry. Two of the ladies standing in line in front of me were laughing about the prices– $ 2.75 per truffle. I guess I expected more for the price. Oh well.

Great little café in the third ward. The hot chocolate was delicious! If you are looking for gifts, this place has adorable chocolates and souvenirs. Great place for kids too!

I just happened to stroll in here between dinner and a show while I was in Milwaukee and this place had such a unique feel to it. Everything was made in house and I tried their red velvet cake pop… TODIEFOR! It was so delicious! They have chocolate coffee which tasted like hot coco(yum) but I settled on their mild brew which was nothing to call home about. All in all it was a nice pit stop with amazing sweet treats!

Great stop for dessert(yes, they serve chocolate cake and cheesecake and some ice cream) after visiting one of the neighboring restaurants. Service was very good. Packaged chocolates great as gift items. They give you plenty of opportunities to taste the chocolates. Ok, prices are high – BUT it’s a boutique chocolate place. You don’t go to a place like for bargain chocolates.

I really wanted to like this place more. I feel they are overpriced and not all that great. I purchased several different pieces of chocolate in order to do a taste test, and I was unimpressed across the board. Instead of smooth and creamy insides, it was hard and chewy… and not in a good way. The customer service was great! It is a cute little place. I just was unimpressed with the pricing and the taste. :(

I stopped in here the other day and I was wowed. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and promptly provided samples. I have not had any of the baked goods other reviewers have mentioned, but I did have a few of their chocolates and I was blown away. At $ 3 a piece, I nearly passed out, but it was truly worth it. There were no unpleasant flavors and each chocolate tasted like what it was supposed to. My only qualm is the price. However, each piece is individually painted, leaving them exquisitely beautiful and more worth the price.
Excellent chocolate but I am only giving 3 starts because it is super expensive! $ 6 for a hot chocolate is outrageous! Pieces of chocolate are several dollars each. 40% off Easter candy only makes it close to reasonable.

I had a coupon for their hot chocolate or chocolate coffee. I got the chocolate coffee, which is more like cappuccino or a mocha latte. It was topped with chocolate whip cream and chocolate flakes. Yummy, but pricey without my freebie. I am hesitant to return because it is expensive. $ 24 for 8 cake balls? Really? I can make a batch of 50 for $ 5 in my kitchen. Granted mine do not use their chocolate. The staff wasn’t super responsive either. I would rather hit up the nearby Public Market for chocolates.
