Handcrafted soy candles, soaps, body products, and men’s grooming — all made with natural ingredients, botanicals, and essential oils. Currently we do not have a retail location, and products are available for purchase through our website.

History

Established in 2013.

Owner Abbey Manalli has been making candles for over 20 years. She opened her first candle business at the age of nineteen. A few years later, she closed that business and moved to Milwaukee, WI to attend the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, where she majored in Illustration and minored in writing.

After graduation her friends started asking her to make candles for them, and after much persuasion, she relented and made a small batch. Then someone asked if she ever thought of opening a store; the seed that would grow into Milwaukee Candle and Apothecary was planted. Abbey did some research, and taught herself to make soap and other body products. Not only does she handcraft all the products, she also puts her art skills to work and designs all the labels and packaging.

At the beginning of 2015 a workshop space was secured in Milwaukee’s Washington Heights neighborhood in order to expand and grow the business.

«A great little coffee house with fantastic coffee roasted on site. During the summer try their cold brew coffee; it has wonderful chocolate notes.»
