While the service was very nice and friendly it in no way made up for the sub-par quality of the food. Location is on the river and therefore you are afforded a beautiful view and ambiance. What was ordered: Appetizer: Warm Brie w. Macadamia Crust and Balsamic Reduction This was average. The macadamia nut crust tasted suspiciously like bread crumbs and the Balsamic Reduction tasted more like blackberry jam. Salad: Maytag Blue Cheese Salad A wedge of Lettuce covered in a gloopy bleu cheese dressing that tasted like bottled junk. Dinner: Lobster Mac and Cheese I had such high hopes for this. I was expecting a subtle delicate bechamel cream sauce to compliment the lobster. What I got literally tasted like melted Velveeta. It was so thick and processed tasting it completely overwhelmed the delicate taste of the lobster pieces which were not generous at all mind you. I didn’t taste a whiff of the truffle oil either. Dessert:Pear Bread Pudding A huge mushy pablum with raw chunks of pear thrown in. Bigger does not mean better. I found it inedible. I blame myself. I should know by now that chain restaurants for the most part just can’t deliver or compare to small local kitchens whose chef’s take pride in their art and creations. This one is off my list.
