The History of J&J Fish and Chicken
On March 8, 1982, James J. Green went in search of the American dream,
he founded J & J Fish, a small store where he sold fresh fish to his customers
and then charged $ 1.00 to fry it for them in his secret batter. Through his love and dedication he turned his small store into a very successful business.
The original store was located on 35th Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago, IL
In less than 20 years, J&J Fish had expanded into more than 130 restaurants, 90 in Chicago alone. The original batter fried fish has changed except to include new menu items and a very successful dine-in
and carry-out business.
