Historic Third Ward Parking Structure

Generally my interactions with parking garages include parking and paying space. On this occasion it was super cold outside and our car wouldn’t start. We brought our portable jumper along and even drove in another car to try to jumpstart the car. We called t we o mechanics who told us we needed a towing company to two the car before they could do anything.
After calling nearby towing companies and mechanics, we called the garage out of desperation to see if there’s a towing company they’d recommend. The lady who answered the phone sent her husband right away over with an industrial size jumper and jumped our car helping it to roar back to life! He wouldn’t take any money and actually waited for us to exit safely.
Can’t say enough about our heros! From now on, we’ll always park here and support the Third Ward whenever we can! Thank you for awesome customer service.

Why is it so expensive to park? Well, I guess if you’re going to be there all day long the $ 15 isn’t too crazy since every two hours is 3 bucks on the street… anywho, at least there’s parking at all, I suppose.

Here I am, singing the praises of a parking garage! But trust me, this one rings true of its charms.
This parking structure is close to my office. It offers a couple of benefits that appealed to me as a monthly parking tenant — it’s covered, the access is 24/​7, and generally as parking garages go it’s neat, clean and modern in structure with good access.
There is a fully-​staffed office on-​site, and good security. I am paying a little bit more money but feel it’s worth it for the advantages it affords me.
The property management company has been very pleasant to deal with and that is a wonderful extra bonus as well.

As far as parking structures go, this one’s not so bad, really. Actually, now that I think of it, it’s pretty dang alright.
I mean, can one, in good conscience give a parking structure FIVE STARS? Yes, a parking structure is a necessity. It’s a thing that you need, so thus? They exist. I mean, you need to park, and somewhere. Milwaukee *is* a city, after all. And in the Third Ward, this is a pretty good option. So… I’m a fan of a parking structure? Well, that seems strange. Incongruous or whatever. Paying for parking in a thing. But… reality. Check.
I guess, though. Ease of use, check. It’s not crazy underground like ten stories. You’re not going to get the bends while parking your car. It’s not super high up and scary either, and you won’t accidentally drive your car off the edge because there are just cables keeping you from overparking and smashing your shit or whatever. It hasn’t any of those strange one way channels. No difficult directions and no tight turns. It’s pretty open and pretty easy to use. And it’s usually not too too expensive. Sometimes it is, but most of the time, it’s pretty reasonable. Unless there’s a special event, and then, well… you’re going to pay.
Other structures in town? They’re shifty and they’re slightly scary and they overcharge. I like this structure well enough to give it four stars. Not sure I’ll ever review a structure at five unless they wash and wax my car for me and give me cupcakes and tell me how awesome I am. Maybe then.
