Heat It Up; Bloody Mary & Chili Challenge

This event is struggling to improve every year. This is my 3^rd tasting here. With lots of bloody marys sizes. In general they were fairly large compared to Tomato Romp cups. I’ve been here solo a few times and a had plenty of tasty drinks and chili.
The one odd factor is the weather. One year was bitter cold. One year was fairly warm and this year was cold windy damp and on the edge of miserable. I can’t take points away for the weather but the organization should have known this weekend needed better accommodations. So, better planning would of been to have heaters on stand by and put up more tents for wind protection. The restroom are porta johns were better this year no waiting or short waits.
Pro tip due to its popularity they are selling online tickets and this event has sold out during the past 2 years. So shop early or …

Food 4 AYCE chili or garnish galore.
Ambiance 3 Cathedral square park.
Service 4 fairly fast not over sold by any means. Plenty of porta johns. Better planning would have comfort for your guest. A shelter tent to keep the sun or rain off during the heat or rain. Or walls to cut the cold damp blasts from the north or the lake.
Location 4 many free street weekend parking spots nearby. Or take the bus on in.
Value. 4 A great way to get your Lycopene all at one spot vs running all over North Ave.
