H&R Block

There’s no reason I shouldn’t be doing my own taxes.
Guess what, though? I’m really lazy sometimes, and I like to pay people in order to shirk adult responsibility. (My parents would cringe in abject horror were they to read the previous sentence.)
At any rate, taxes. Death and taxes. (Wasn’t that good ol’ Ben Franklin who coined that whole concept? Or, at least, made note of it?)
This year, I took my happy little butt down to H&R Block to have someone do my taxes for me. That’s right. I paid a person to take care of what I probably could have without too much headache.
And I’ll tell you what, Unilocal MKE: I’m glad I did.
Enter: Tom B. Thomas B. (aka, the nicest guy in the history of the world)
This gentleman not only helped me make sure I got the largest refund I could, he also took care of amending my 2010 filings with their «second look» program, and guess who missed a huge credit? Guess who amended and now is getting said credit back in 6 – 8 weeks? Bah-​zing.
And he was so so nice and personable and, you know, all that good stuff. I love it when people are nice.
I was so so happy with Thomas and H&R Block that I’ll be headed there year after year to have ‘em help me out with that whole «being an adult» thing. I mean, if you file early it’s super cheap, AND they’re really great at making sure you’re getting everything you should be getting.
Tom deserves a gold star and an updated computer system. Only reason that I’d not dole five stars is that it took a good long while to get everything taken care of due to H&R’s super-​outdated system. (Not his fault, however!)

I came here because of the «Second Look» promotion and brought four years of tax documents with me. My accountant Ann Singh went above and beyond in working with me and I ended up with a few extra Benjamins because of it. I would recommend this H&R Block location to anyone and it’s especially convenient for Bay View folks.
