History

Established in 1996.

Mark began working in the energy conservation field as early as 1980. He was an energy efficiency program coordinator for a non-​profit organization in charge of reducing energy usage in Milwaukee homes. He became an Energy Auditor for the Wisconsin Gas Company (now WE Energies) in 1984. Per state legislation, the utilities were commanded to offer energy incentives to homeowners to do energy saving items identified during site visits. He provided these services for the gas company up to 1996 when he created ForeSight Home Performance. From 1999 – 2014 he was a subcontractor for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) multi-​million dollar Noise Management Program for Mitchell International Airport. During that time he was the Senior Indoor Air Quality Technician in charge of writing contractor specifications, designing scopes of work, and performance testing installers’ work to verify successful conformance with program standards. 1996 — Present ForeSight Home Performance, Inc.

Since 1980 the owner of FHP, Mark Meiling, has designed energy reduction measures for over 4,500 homes. FHP designs reliable solutions for those issues caused by inappropriate air, heat, and water vapor flows through building assemblies.

1999 — 2014 Senior Indoor Air Quality Technician

FHP worked on 2500+ homes for Milwaukee County’s Mitchell International Airport’s (FAA’s) multi-​million dollar Noise Management Program. It was tasked with creating Specifications for the program, designing Scopes of Work, and performing Diagnostic Testing to Verify Successful Installation during its Quality Control Process
