My husband and I wanted to try it since we saw it on bar rescue. The décor looks really cool but other than that it’s falling apart. They will not make any of the Irish drink specials or food. The bar had about 5 – 7 regulars who are obviously catered too. That was as busy as it got on a Saturday night so not too popular of a place. The regulars at the bar sit there interrupting your conversations, telling you what you should eat and or drink and that John Taffer and all those bar rescue people didn’t know what they were doing. It was ridiculous — we finished our beer and these horrible frozen things –I don’t even know what they were and we left. We’ll never go back, what a shame the place –minus the local losers could have been great.

Amazing irish breakfast. Black, white puddings, rashers, bangers, tomatoes, potatoes, mushrooms, eggs and sexy toast. Owner is lovely. They now serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday 8 to 12. A grest way to start the day. Cheers

walked in on Saturday evening after seeing it on bar rescue. the irish stew on tv looked perfect. toped with an irish old fashion drink sounded to good to pass up. drove from lake country just to go here. walked in with a small sports crowd that the bartender knew well. i had to ask for service, was givin a menu that did have anything irish on it except for bangers. was told this is now a sandwich bar, disappointed with that responce. also no signature drinks anymore as well. told the bar tender after getting her attention from her freinds that i was not real happy and was going to her competition, she was very hapy with that. will not go back and our crowd will no be going as well. i am willing to bet they will be out of business in short order. with a few more isish bars very close by they will fold with that attitude.

I had heard from a few friends that Campbell’s had a knock out Irish breakfast– as authentic as it can get– being a lover of breakfast, I had to pop back in. Walked in and it was a quiet morning, but this is only because people don’t know what they are missing yet. The bartender Pete was fantastic, friendly and attentive. A soccer match was on(sorry– football) and a few devout fans were in having a morning beer and socializing. This visit I also got to meet Packy, the owner. He is one of those guys that you could sit and chat with for hours– interesting, funny and makes you feel welcome right away. Now– for that Irish breakfast… I guess I really had no idea what it was or what to expect, but was beyond pleased upon arrival. It’s a TON of food and its heavy on the protein! Eggs, crunchy potatoes, beans, bangers, blood sausage, a slice of bacon(that is more like ham) a roasted tomato & toast… And a sausage that they referred to as «white» sausage that was so perfect. It was explained it was pork & barley– the texture was so unexpected and just wonderful! I was also explained that this is the real deal, he has to get most of the meats from Chicago! One thing to mention, there is not a full Menu– it’s Irish breakfast and that’s it, but if it’s something that intrigues you, I highly recommend stopping in, because you aren’t going to get anything better or even close to it in Milwaukee.

Another ok Irish bar in Milwaukee. This place is far away from the intense action of water street and Brady so it is not going to have the same ambiance as those locations. This is more of a neighborhood bar in the South side of Milwaukee

Since before the name change from Packy’s to Campbell’s I’ve come here for the Sunday morning Irish breakfast. It’s not on the menu. It’s so super yummy! The main point is that the sausages are correct, more authentic than others who offer«Irish or English» breakfast. Packy is back in the kitchen. The décor is cleaned up a bit but maintains enough of its«seedy charm» to be on my list of genuine Milwaukee best kept secrets. I’m looking forward to trying the Dublin Sausage and Mash and the Guinness Beef Stew.

Went in on a sleepy Wednesday, place was a ghost town. Smelled rank, Guinness too warm, won’t go back. Seemed very friendly to regulars.

Pleasantly surprised. When I walked in I didn’t think I would be giving 4 stars. The bar is small, and the bartender seemed a little dingy. On top of that the menu is pretty limited. With that being said the service was good and the wings were delish! I am super picky about wings and I have to say these are some of the best I have had in Milwaukee. Ruben rolls were also excellent. I will be back.

I saw Campbell’s on Bar Rescue, so thought I would try it. It is clearly a place for the owner to hang out with his friends. When I came in, the bar was dominated by regulars who clearly all knew each other. For only about 10 people, they were incredibly loud. Just about every other sentence was a loud«MOTHER — — » Every little joke, jibe and the golf on TV produced loud hoots, yells and«mother — — s» I had one Guinness and left. Not my kind of place.

I have been to Campbell’s a handful of times after it was on Bar Rescue. From what I understand, they did a great job at renovating the site and offering more than just wings for bar fare. Bartender’s have always been nice and accommodating on food orders since they don’t have a waitress for the times that I have been there. Decent happy hour specials especially with the PBR tall boys. The new menu is good too. Although it is hit and miss on how hot your food will be. I have ordered the Irish Stew and Bangers and Mash. Both good but wish they were served hot instead of warm. I would recommend this place for happy hour or a place to catch up with friends.

We went to Campbell’s on a Friday night at 6pm and had high expectations since seeing the changes on bar rescue. We sat at a table close to the bar and was not acknowledged by anyone working. So we went to the bar to order drinks and get menus. I had intentions of ordering the beef stew but they were out which was very disappointing since there are only a few things on the menu and it was around dinner time on a Friday. We ordered the wings and the guppys prawn open faced sandwich. The wings were great but the sandwich was a different story. Very sour and not what we expected. It would be much better if the prawn was deep fried or at least warm. Once we got our food we finally had a server pay attention to us and was eventually very friendly and the beer was very cold. Just very disappointed about the unusual sandwich and no beef stew. We plan on returning solely for drinks and wings, not for a dinner.

Guppy is the most worthless bartender ever. He’s a drunken slob that likes to flip customers off. And has a very crude and filthy humor. The bar does look beautiful. But who wants to spend there money when that’s what you have to put up with.

Went into Campbell’s last Saturday night 12÷6÷14 for the first time since the rescue. After standing at the bar for over 5 minutes and not being acknowledged by anyone that works there I walked out. After watching the show tonight I see that the bartender was Guppy who was pretty more involved with his performance then thirsty customers. It did smell and look better then before.
