Every time I’ve ever been here the place is dead. Boring old music is always playing yet when i ask to turn it up because Im spending my own money in the jukebox the 80 year old owner claims its too loud already. If ur looking for a fun hip place to catch a drink be prepared to sit bored with slow service and out of date bartenders.

Wonderful fish and chicken on Friday! Atmosphere was fresh, bar and restrooms were clean, bartenders and owner was very friendly. Everytime I come into Milwaukee this is our first stop and will always be! Jules

Got home the chicken wraps where amazing slow service but finally the male bartender started to talk to us he did not charge me for my beer !

New food item added to menu – Broasted Chicken– it was Fantastic, served Hot –Great service, am planning on returning.

We wanted to like this place. My friend and I went there to watch sports while we awaited a few of his friends coming into Mitchell International airport. And this place is near the airport, so we hung in between airport runs. The service was good but the food just wasn’t anything special. I would love to find a pub and grille near the airport, that has a good sports selection on tv and good food/​drink. But this is not it.

Well I generously rounded up. I have seen it go from Jetsetters, to the Frog Bar to this and it has gone down in popularity every time. But I personally like the staff and bartenders. It’s a nice good size bar that doesnt seem to fill very often but the drinks are always fresh to me. The staff is usually pretty good.

We walked in around 6:45 pm Friday night. It was me, my wife and our friend from Michigan visiting for the weekend. The bar was half full with maybe 2 – 3 tables occupied. The small, brunette bartender greeted us immediately, which was nice. We didn’t know if we should wait to be seated, but looking at the mass amount of empty tables, we sat ourselves by the window in the corner. We sat there for about 5 – 10 minutes, which felt like forever, with no one coming up to offer water or menus. It was horrible. There were 2 bartenders chatting with each other and some patrons, but they didn’t stop to come over and offer us menus?!? We just sat there, looking around for a server.
Then the same bartender said «Your server will be with you in a minute.» which again was nice, but still didn’t offer menus or waters. Finally, after a few more minutes, I asked the same bartender for menus. I had to ASK for menus! She was nice enough to take a drink order and bring waters as well.
Finally the server came over and was she really nice. My wife asked for any veggie options and the server didn’t know because she’s brand new and went to ask the manager, which was a 2 toned haired girl SITTING AT THE BAR 5 FEET FROM US! I couldn’t believe the MANAGER wouldn’t come offer menus or waters or say hi or anything AT ALL! She was just sitting at the bar fucking around on her cell phone and chatting up the bartenders.
So the manager left, our order is in and we’re waiting. It’s 7:10. I’ve worked service industry and you greet and seat immediately and give menus and waters so we can browse the menu & sip water while we wait for the server. Instead, 3 not so busy employees barely paid attention to us with the manager just sitting at the bar not doing anything!
I hope the owner reads this and fixes it because, even though I haven’t gotten the food yet, I have already made up my mind that I never want to come back.

Food came. I ordered the lunch fish fry, which on the board by the entrance says $ 7.95. We also got fried eggplant w marinara and a burger. The food was not the best. Your run of the mill frozen junk. I got one piece of fish, fairly sized and some fries. Nothing to rave about. Shit, nothing to talk about really at all except to say it was «blah». The burger was OK and the eggplant was the same, generic, frozen stuff you’d expect at any bar anywhere with a fryer and eggplant on the menu. Not worth it. I would never order any of it again.
What’s funny is the fact I saw an employee walk around with a Brass Monkey t-​shirt on and on the back it said «Milwaukee’s BEST fish fry». WHOA! Back up. That’s a whole lot of false advertising. But I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Bill comes. No big deal. I check the bill to make sure everything is right and they charged me $ 8.95 not $ 7.95 which is what I was expecting to pay because that’s what the board said at the entrance. I bring it up to our server Maddie, who was so nice and pleasant, she said she’d take care of it. She comes back and says she switched the price and the board says $ 7.95 because that’s the price at lunch TIME. So I offered a suggestion of writing the times on the same board of when that price stops and turns a dollar more. It’s confusing and when the price they ask you to pay isn’t the price you’re expecting, it’s irritating and unnerving. Like they’re trying to pull a fast one. I know it’s only $ 1 but there’s principle behind it.
I fault the staff for being lackadaisical but I also fault the manager for not properly training the staff and the owners for not making sure everything is run as a service industry business SHOULD be run. The customers pay your bills and keep your staff employed. Treat them like that!
I probably will never go back.

I only spent a short time here and it was spent kicking ass at the dart board. I will say when I was here this place is dead. I had a blast but it had nothing to do with the bar itself. I feel like we had to wait longer than necessary to get service when we were at the bar even though there were only like 5 people at the bar.
The dj, god love him, was trying so hard with an empty bar. When there are 10 people in a bar this size scratching and dancing behind your apple computer looks a little ridiculous.
Not a place I would ever frequent but it wasn’t bad for a drink and some darts.

Heard that the wings were good, so I stopped in to check’em out.
Upon arriving & grabbing a chair at the bar, the bartender immediately greeted me and introduced himself. Ordered a tap beer … of course, this is Milwaukee after all.
After scouring over the menu, I ordered the parmesan flavored wings and the hot wings. The food arrived within a decent time of placing the order and were quite good. The bartender (s) consistently asked if I needed anything and how was the food.
After the wings, I ordered a large Italian sausage, mushroom & onion pizza TO GO. When I placed the order, it actually took longer than expected. At least a half hour to 45 minutes on the wait. Most, if not all the patrons were seated at the bar drinking taps, so the kitchen couldn’t have been THAT busy. Even the bartender apologized the for wait on the TO GO order. No biggie.
The pizza had plenty of ingredients on it to go around, but the crust edges should’ve been crunchy, not as hard where you could break a tooth. Maybe just a tad overcooked.
Overall, a good experience, great waitstaff and another visit will be in order.

This place use to be the Big Mouth Frog but recently changed. It went from being a great bar with excellent food an Amazing martini menu and affordable! This was a combination that you don’t come by very often on this side of town. Needless to say, I was there often with friends and co-​workers.
I went in to meet a friend recently and found that it’s now just your average milwaukee bar that specializes in what else but BEER. Just like every other one that we are surrounded by. There’s no martini menu anymore so I figered I would be safe with a standard dirty martini. WRONG! it was the amount of a shot in a large glass (which was weird enough) but it also tasted terrible and it was served warm! The worst part… no one knew how to make one except the new owner. Apparently he doesn’t either! I will NOT be going back
