What a waste of time! I went in to this place because I’ve gone to Americas Best in the past and had free eye exams for 3 years. Needed a new prescription for my contact lens. While the exams went quickly I waited over 45 minutes afterwards for them to tell me they don’t carry the brand I use in stock and I also could not get another brand without being fitted. So I asked for a written prescription I could take to a store that does carry my brand of contacts in stock. I was told no the Dr won’t write a prescription until I come back. What was the point of the exam then if the Dr wouldn’t even write my prescription! She did the exam and knew what strength of contact I needed what the heck do i need to come back for??? The other Americas Best I went to had no problems with writing me a prescription after having an exam so I suggest trying a different location.

Sadly, I’m getting older and it seems I needed new reading glasses, so off I went to America’s Best in Midtown. Happy the first time I purchased glasses here, I was again very well treated. The BIG deal here is the free eye exam($ 45 value) when you purchase two pairs of glasses starting at just $ 69 for both and going up from there. My eye exam was handled on-time and my Optician explained every detail. Then it was up to me. I picked out two sets of frames for two pairs of identical reading glasses. The last time I was here, I ordered one pair for reading and the other for night driving. Never seemed to need the driving glasses, so I have an emergency reading pair this time. Having dealt with several other eye glass companies for my girls in the past, I’ve found ‘heaven’ and ‘peace of mind’ with America’s Best, «great value and no complaints!»

Customer service wasn’t nearly as good here as it was at the Southridge location. They suggested a different kind of contacts that was $ 25 more per box than my current contacts and when asked what the difference was they just said … «well these are just… better for you» which seems sheisty. I should have known better when the guy helping me was wearing glasses off the rack that still had the price tag on them. Apparently he doesn’t want people looking him in the eyes?
