Business Owner

Matthew and Jennifer Nguyen decided to start something new in 2008. They had relocated from Philadelphia and took over an existing sandwich shop which they named after their 4 months old son at the time, Oliver. Thus the birth of Oliver’s Sandwiches was completed. Hard work, perseverance, and faith transformed Oliver’s into a favorite lunch hot spot in the local area. The couple vows to remain true to their offering of a unique and tasteful sandwich at every visit.

Tried this place for the first time and let the woman know I have never been before and was quite eager (I adore sandwiches). Although the sandwich is tasty, it was regrettably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Without going into details, I’m never going back regardless.

Wow! Oliver’s has quite a selection of sandwiches and the two we had today were great! Hubby’s had the Rocket and it was delicious. I had the Matthew’s and it was great with the peppers and jalepenos. Really put a good spin on a philly.

Came in for lunch on a Friday with my work buddies.
It was pretty busy. There were lots of people waiting for food, but only one person in line in front of us ordering.
The pastrami sandwich was good. The pastrami was cut at a good thickness, and the sandwich was a decent size. I ordered it on wheat and got it on rye. I didn’t bother saying anything, since I was really hungry and we’d been waiting a bit. (We must have gotten there at the tail end of the lunch rush or something.)
The people were pleasant, everything seemed clean, it was easy to find parking, but I don’t know if I’m going to make the drive from Kent for lunch again.

In college we had a sub shop up the street that was my favorite lunch stop because they used fresh ingredients and their subs were absolutely the best! I was disappointed when the shut down and haven’t been able to find a sandwich shop like it, until now… and I’ve tried a few places in past 10+ years…
I came across Oliver’s Sandwiches on Unilocal and decided to give it a try because they had great reviews, and it was a sandwich shop! Definitely happy to have found this place! Their sandwiches are very satisfying! I love how fresh their ingredients were, and also how perfect their thick cut bacon tasted. The wait time is a bit longer, but their sandwiches are definitely worth waiting for! So happy to finally have found a good sandwich shop and will definitely visit them again and again!

Caution: Jennifer’s wrap had my mouth totally on fire!!! (& I’m used to very spicy Thai food.) Excellent food, good service.

One of the best sandwich places you will ever go! Their menu is vast and reasonable especially for the portion sizes! We try to take the drive out to Milton semi-​frequently but it is totally worth it. All of the sandwiches I have tried, I have loved, and the staff is always super friendly. The man in charge seems to really know his regulars too which is nice to see!

I just had the Gladiator sandwich! Excellent choice! In the age of cheap and small food, this sandwich does Not Disappoint! The Gladiator is a worthy opponent when you’re looking to take down a hearty meal. I’d give 5 stars but I’ve only eaten this sandwich on take-​out (twice), and not actually been to the restaurant yet.

I’ve had lunch at Oliver’s three times over the last two months.
My favorite sandwich so far has been the Oliver Special on wheat. This Sandwich has Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, sprouts.
I suggest calling in your order early because this place is busy during lunch hours, but the service e was great.

A friend recommended this place. I wish we would’ve known about this place sooner! The sandwiches are enormous! I’m a big guy that eats big portions and this place meets that! The owner works behind the counter and makes you feel warm and welcome. What a great place to eat for a great price!

It may be slow because its a husband and wife team doing it all. But its worth the wait! You can tell they have a lot of regulars and they get to know them. I was sitting by the counter and could her conversation and just knowing what the customer wanted. The price is comparable and the food really does come with a lot of meat. I ordered the gladiator and it didn’t fail me, my husband ordered roast beef and he was super impressed (his au jus ran out!) Its our first time but definitely coming back and will be recommending it to friends and family who lives nearby.
Now about the food. The gladiator had a lot of meat, the veggies are fresh and has good flavor. The bread is soft but firm enough to hold the fixings. The roast beef is flavorful, the bread soaks the au jus and it just gives it more flavor to the roast beef.
This place is such a gem!

This place is great! Matthew made me my roast beef sandwich with sautéed onions and mushrooms, which isn’t part of the sandwich, without hesitation. The sandwich itself didn’t fall apart, the au jus wasn’t overly salty, and the Thai tea was the perfect sweetness. I would come back here again.

I’m not sure why someone would give this place less than five full stars unless they loathe tasty freaking sangwiches. Look. This place makes the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Every sandwich here is outstanding. If you don’t go to Oliver’s you support child slavery and animal cruelty.
When you are done with your meal, you might walk outside and notice an Arby’s among other fast food restaurants. Your first thought will be «what kind of idiot goes to Arby’s when it’s this close to Oliver’s?»
Just smile and take pride in your ability to make good life decisions. You just ate at Oliver’s.

Nice little sandwich shop, they have a huge menu to choose from including traditional American sandwiches and subs as well as Vietnamese sandwiches and grilled subs. The owners are nice and get the food out quick, prices are under 10 $ for a huge sandwich. Much better bargain than places like subway for sure.
