We all know that Walter P knows how to throw down a fabulous UYE. As usual everyone had a ton to eat and alot of fun. Sorry all I was running late. It was interesting when I walked up to Kalesa that Walter had this grin in his face. It didn’t occur to me till I sat down with him and he took of his sweatshirt.(we all know he has been waiting to wear his Super Crew shirt) Whatever Super Crew! Blah! FANNYPAK! The next season it is on! It is kinda funny the first time I met the SBC Unilocalers was at the second Kalesa. I miss the first one. It sure bring back memories. Thanks Walter for putting a wonderful UYE. You know the Unilocalers are always down to eat. At least I know I am.

Fantastic UYE thrown by Mr. SBC himself. Loved the set up in the back, looked like we dominated the restaurant ;) I haven’t really had a chance to attend any of the previous UYEs at Kalesa so I’m happy this one was on a Friday and I was in town! The food was absolutely delicious. For some reason despite the fact that I’m dating a Filipino guy, we never really go out and eat Filipino food. We’re usually only eat it when he cooks it or his family cooks it so this definitely was a new and interesting experience for me. The food ordered that night was a great variety(my faves include: garlic fried rice, crispy pata, lumpia shanghai… yum yum yum!!!) Thank you to all the Unilocalers for being so friendly and welcoming to the newbies I brought to the event… they will be addicted soon…

Not much to add other than my compliments. Great food. The restaurant set up made it possible to go and talk to others. Walt is a gracious host who really goes out of his way to ensure everyone has a good time.

This has got to be the best UYE to date. Walter, you rock. There is so much to say about this UYE, but before getting to that, I have one very important question: — Where is my Beth Approved Badge? Some other quick notes: — How many cameras were there exactly? — What is a Facebook photo??? — Akemi, all those guys are players, trust no one. (except pure and innocent me, of course) — What’s up with the tongue photos?! — Guys in front of beauty shop… priceless — Finally got to meet Lynn! Wahooooo! Don’t forget our secret plan to bring you-know-who to the next pot luck UYE(whenever that might be) She will be the anonymous UYE! — Michael C. and Cobber with the professional cameras — Noelle’s shock/disbelief at Tetsu being Beth Approved Awwwwww… pleeeeaaaaase Noelle? Ron L. and Bobby L approve me too, and they’re family, right? — Chicken noodle soup and jello… nuff said — All hail the brotherhood (see you at Red Mango tomorrow at 7) — Catching up with Crys the babe, Ms. «LP» of « Unilocal» — What Donna or Beth says, Tetsu does. — Edward and Neil, the James Deans of this UYE. — Sitting next to hawtness Anna and her bud Mike(How’s Tokyo?) — Natalie. Don’t worry, the brotherhood’s got yer back! We’ll take on the bad guys! Says the little wimp standing behind the Walter-Dennis-Ron-Bobby-Michale-Cobber wall. Great meeting friends and making new ones. Also great meeting Unilocal friends f2f for the first time. Rachel, I found you through someone else’s network, and couldn’t figure out it was you until I remembered the conversation about the hand over half your face! Ahhh, yes. «Found you, gotta friend you,» I thought… And then realized that the«add a friend» button wasn’t available… D’oh! we were already friends. Coolness. And it was great meeting more new people. I’m so sorry to be bad with names… Hope to find you and friend you if we aren’t connected yet. With the King of the SBC hosting, you knew it was gonna be awesome, and Kalesa staff were excellent at keeping the food coming at regular intervals. The food quality was amazing, and the company was even better. We pretty much took over an entire side of Kalesa. We were so loud, and standing so much of the time that I almost feel sorry for the other Kalesa patrons who were there in smaller groups. We must have seemed terribly loud and annoying to them. And since we’re Unilocalers, there was a lot of standing around and moving from sub-group to sub-group and catching up a little here and there. We treated Kalesa almost like a standing social event. Poor Kalesa staff! Thank you so much for putting up with it all, hehehe. And thank the beautiful waitress for being willing to take pictures. Hope she didn’t feel too uncomfortable. To plan a UYE so well that it goes completely smoothly for such a large group with seemingly little to no effort is a talent that anyone would envy. Way to go Walter, what an event. But wait… there’s more! The main event was really Frozo’s. And that after event brought in a whole ‘nother group of people. Just an amazing turnout. I had to leave early, but what a blast. Hope there were no police this time, hehehe. Once again Walter. Thanks for putting this together. As a newbie Unilocaler and UYE’er, I bow to your greatness. You rock, bro.

Outstanding!!! I’m crowning Walter P. KING of the UYE in the South Bay(see: ). This man knows how to throw down. Fatten us up at Kalesa( ) on some nice hearty and greasy filipino food and beer, then head over to the UYE at FROZO’s(see: ). He hooked it up. Thanks Walt ! ! ! I was impressed with the portions, pricing, and especially the service at Kalesa. Staff was courteous, fast, and attentive. more laters…
