They don’t accept there own coupons if theres any changes to it at all. Pretty sucky and tricky if you ask me. This place doesn’t operate under the honesty program. Better check with them with your coupon before going forward. Very tricky place and misleading. Beware customer!!!

i got a 17 point oil change and the mechanic stuck extra charges on my bill without telling me until the end when the oil change was done. when i went back to my car, i expected the interior to be vacuum but it wasn’t. the women at the front desk met my comments with resistance. the 17 points were really to try to stick more charges on my oil change. i’m going to jiffy lube next time.

Lee has been great dealing with my Ford truck. The front desk person has always been nice as well. I read the other reviews and I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t have my own personal experience. I’m not easy to please but Lee has earned my trust.

Boo! Don’t believe their hours. I pulled in at 455 pm on a Tuesday and they were already locked up. The guy getting into his red mustang said they were already closed. I’m a buisness manager, and had been there 3 times before. If you don’t want to take late customers, change your hours to 445 or 430. Boo! You just lost a repeat customer because you are lazy.

I called in and spoke to Reggie about my car possibly needing an oil change because my car said I only had 2% oil left, even though I just got my oil changed 1500 miles ago (from a different place). Reggie told me they probably didn’t reset it yet and said to come in and he will reset it for no charge. I don’t know anything about cars and glad he was honest and willing to help me out. And although it was a quick and easy task for him to just reset it, I appreciated him offering. Definitely coming back when I need an oil change.

Terrible service. Will never go back there again. Was told I will get both my coupons honored. Then when the time came to pay, they went back on their words and gave only one coupon. Very expensive service too. Once they trapped me without a coupon, the charges went through the roof (compared to Precision Auto care where I have gone before and will be going back from now on).

After they messed up on a oil change by stripping my bolt (oil pan) and not telling me about it because my tire guys noticed an oil leak 2 days after oil service and a busted timing belt they put in… I will never come back here again. I also had a neighbor take his truck here for an oil change and next thing you know, now he needs a new motor! This place should be torn down for some more new homes. They used to be good but now it’s all about the almighty dollar and screw the customer. Come here at your own risk!

Funny how they claim to be a county recycling center but they won’t take my waste oil and are flat out rude about it! I guess I’ll be taking my other vehicles elsewhere for oil changes inn the future. Jerks!

I am never coming here again. You’d think that because I’m Filipino and the head mechanic is also Filipino, he would treat me with more honesty and I’d be willing to trust his word.
This is my second time here. I go in for a simple oil change telling myself that I’m getting nothing else. I give the keys and go inside. I’m called back out and told I need a brake fluid change. I start to panic because I remember having it done a year ago but I’m not sure if my model needed it that frequently. I try to call my parents and get their advice but they didn’t pick up. I go ahead with the brake fluid change and sign the paper. The Filipino mechanic gives me a weird smile immediately after.
I get a call from my dad, who tells me that I should not get the fluid change. I go back outside and ask if he already did the fluid change and he said yes. I went back to speaking with my dad but then I notice that the Filipino mechanic starts to do the brake fluid change! I tried to reason with management but they said it’s because once I signed the paper it’s final. I left the place feeling pretty low and 70 $ poorer.
I trusted the Filipino guy because I didn’t think he would pull something like that to people of his own ethnicity. Filipinos are already some of the worst treated people in this country.
It turns out my model does not need a brake fluid change that often. I learned my lesson, but also learned that mechanics don’t care if you’re the same ethnicity as them. You’re just another person who might be oblivious enough to shell out money for unnecessary services.

Shady business practices on 2 separate occasions. First incident I came in with a coupon for a $ 30 oil change. I gave it to the cashier who neglected to tell me it didn’t apply to my truck. Ended up with a $ 90 bill and my jaw on the floor. 2^nd incident husband took his vehicle asked how his brakes looked. The cashier informed him they didn’t check the brakes. He was confused because there’s a huge sign that says free brake check on every oil change. She then told him that applies to only certain vehicles. I believe their shady business will only hurt their business in the end.

The time to get my car in and our was quick. That is the only good thing. I went in without oil leaks when I got home I found the car was leaking oil on the drive. I took it to a local franchise, to find that the pan is cracked at the oil plug. This is pretty obvious to me that they over torqued the plug and crackled the aluminum. They refused to acknowledge their error insisting I hit something, which I did not. I’m now looking at a $ 1000 repair. I would have been willing to split the cost but due to their refusal to take responsibility, now we get to meet in court.
I recommend avoiding this place like the plague.

They tried some shady price business on me, but when I called them out on it the manager was understanding and gave me the lowest price ($ 29).
Fast service, even at lunch – I’d been to two other places first that had a 1.5 hr wait, SpeeDee had no wait.

I went in for a oil change as I was planning a trip which involved a lot of driving, went in for a oil change and ½ way through the service they called me out to my car and told me I need a whole bunch of other stuff flushed and changed and I was looking at $ 450-​$ 700 on top of the 54.99 I had to pay cause apparently I have expresive oil for my chevy (small suv), mind you I just bought my car less then 4 months ago so I doubt I needed this changed. So I was paranoid after turning it down I took it to the dealer ship I bought it from and spoke with the sales man who sold me the car and he was totally cool checking it out for me to make sure and I was right there with my car in sight the entire time and he showed me whatever these people told me they were very wrong & were lying to me. SO ALL AND ALL THEY TRIED SQUEEZING OUT EVERY DIME OUT OF ME BECASUE I’M A FEMALE AND LOOK LIKE YOU CAN PULL ONE OVER ON ME. I would avaid this place at all cost. && if you do go here just get the oil change and take your car to a real mechanic who won’t try to rip you off.

Took my truck in for a tune up lee is a solid mechanic he suggested a major tune-​up so I did even though it didn’t fix the problem I was still satisfied with the work he did he even dropped me off at the mall because I had to wait a few hours but it’s ok he did a good job and even topped off my transmission thank you lee

Wow wow wow wow I just stopped for an oil change ($ 29.00) end up paying $ 103.93 this guy came up to me and told me that the power steering was low and needed it to be filled up, after driving my car nothing had changed. I think I need to talk to my attorney about it since many people are having same issues.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Got my oil changed here, extremely bad service, especially the lame duck receptionist. I was supposed to get a $ 20 credit towards my service visit. Instead they changed their mind and offered $ 10 credit. Overall I would not pay $ 45 for an oil change on a 4 cylinder vehicle.

Pretty decent place. They took care of my oil and did a cleaning to boot. Nice people and supremely quick about it. The price is a little higher than I am accustomed to, but you cannot knock them on their performance.
Make sure to check-​in and take advantage of their discounts!

SpeeDee? Psssh yeah right! Getting a simple oil change took close to an hour and there was one car ahead of me.
The customer service was also terrible! Everyone seemed very confused and no one had any idea how much longer it would be for my oil change to be completed.
Bottom line-​if you to wait an hour and pay $ 40 for a regular oil change «SpeeDee» is the place to be.

The mechanics REALLY do not know what they are doing.
I look my car in for a freon recharge. The AC had slowly turned warm a couple months ago, since summer is coming, I decided to get the freon recharged. I took my car to Speedy knowing they have a freon recharge service and they were close to my job.
After I dropped my car off, I waited an hour for an update. The mechanic came in and asked me to come to my car. He indicated that I had zero freon (which I knew) but also after it was filled the AC compressor clutch was not engaging.
He suggested that I get a diagnostic, but knew I had to go to work. We agreed that I would pay the $ 79 fee and return for the diagnostic — he asked me to wait a few minutes while he got my car ready. 15 minutes later, I walk to be back only to see him eating lunch at 11AM. I gave him a WTF look at pointed at my car, which was still as it was 15 minutes ago. He came over and I told him I would just leave it and requested he run the diagnostic.
Fast forward to 4PM. He calls me to come get my car, but there are problems and he needs to tell me when I get there. So, I arrive and he starts going over all the issues. Compressor is bad, control unit is bad, resistor might be bad. He explained how he tried to test the parts, wasn’t able to get the part numbers and that it’d be too hard to work on the AC, suggesting I take it else where. It’d take a week or more and he only wants «fast» fixes in the shop.
At this point, he tells me that he’ll just charge me $ 79 and i’ll get my car back. So, I am thinking, he just turned away my business and I am paying $ 79 for nothing…
As I am walking to my car he tells me «I filled it back up with freon, no charge» — I reply «That’s great expect it wont blow cold air and I have to go somewhere else…»
I get back to work and discuss the problem with a workmate, we headed out to my car and tried to look over what might be happening when suddenly, the AC compressor clutch engages. Turns out, when the freon ran out, the car ECU shut the system off, after the freon circulated a few minutes, the ecu detected the gas and reset the system.
The guys at Speedy had no idea, no clue and no business working on cars. Take your car there for non-​oil related issues at your own risk. On a good note, their stupidity saved me $ 230.

I come here often for my oil change and any services that I must do to my car. I only go here because there was a Speedee back in my hometown and I found this Milpitas location so I have just gotten used to going here. Prices have risen over the years but I cant really do anything there. An oil change is $ 39 but if you look at the Unilocal page, it is $ 30. Another coupon you can get is $ 5 off an oil change but it isnt as worth it. I had to change my brake fluid and that is $ 70 but they gave me a $ 10 discount. To me, that seems overpriced since you can get oil for $ 3 at the store and the labor should not be another $ 65. That seems ridiculous, but I once again have no choice. Since everyone who gets their car fixed is not completely knowledgeable of services, I am never quite sure if I am getting ripped off or I just have to go with the flow and accept the maintenance changes and costs. For other auto service shops, I get a hunch if they are trustworthy honest people who dont try to trip naïve customers. I am not quite sure for this one but meh I will deal and get oil changes here.
**TIPS**
1) Look at the Unilocal page for a better discount than the $ 5 off. You can show it on your phone if you forgot to print.
2) They are open on Sundays from 8am-​4pm.
