This is the second time I did my smog check here. Linh was very helpful and honest — a top quality that I would have no hesitation to come back again whenever I need smog check again. Not to mention their reasonable price, lowest in the area according to my research; and they even give you free recheck if the car didn’t pass the first time.

Excellent customer service! Called in to make a same-​day smog check appointment (not needed, but appreciated) and was able to get in within the hour on a weekday morning. Came in and my car was worked on promptly. Took about 30 minutes for the smog check (passed!). Staff were very professional and at the same time personable. A pleasant experience altogether!

Great service. Glad I found this place. Mike was very helpful and the price for smog check is reasonable. Finished everything under an hour (walk-​in). Won’t need to deal with another smog check for another 2 years. Thank goodness. :)

I have been here twice. My last visit, I came in the morning around 8:30. I notice the smog check station wasn’t used. The lady in the front said 30 minutes. I killed some time by grabbing some coffee around the corner. I got back 20 minutes later and it was all done. The car passed smog and can’t beat $ 40 for the service. I am planning to take all my cars here from now on.

They messed up on the smog check. It took an hr. Said something is wrong with the «computer system» ??? I got it smogged 2 months ago it was fine. It’s a new 2007 Corolla and the only reason I’m getting oil change is bc of state transfer title policy. Im Vietnamese so I overheard all the mechanics yelling and hushing about a screw up, which is totally fine as long as they fix it, but then three other customers drop by and somehow management think they rather work on the other three’s oil change instead. The other place took 20 min max this takes 1+ hrs… but it could be the weekend. I really want to support Vietnamese business, but I wish they are a bit organized. Kind of weird but just to be safe, try smog at somewhere else if you are on a time crunch.

I called in and talked to Mike and was given a reasonable quote of $ 40, total cost including certificate and e transact to DMV. it was Thurs morning around 10am, drop off my car and was done in 20min. Mike is very honest and cordial and no up selling of any other services.
This service and gas stations is owned by the same lady for the last 30yrs, they always provide honest service to their clientele.

I found this place on… what else… Unilocal! Come on did you think I was going to say Google?! lol
I turned on the search filter and looked for good ratings and distance. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the good reviews so I decided to take my car here. I called Smog Pros first to inquire about pricing. $ 40 out the door… not going to complain about, some other places wanted $ 50 and up. I spoke with Linh, who asked me a few details about my car and wanted to verify if he could Smog my car here. Everything checked out just fine and he told me to come in 45 minutes.
The facility is pleasantly well kept and quite clean. Everything was effortless. Linh took the keys, told me it would be done in 20 minutes and took care of my car. No worries, no dramas. Will be back and bring all my family members vehicles here.

I went here instead of a shop closer to my house for its low price ($ 40 with certificate)!
Also, their customer service was great! I needed the test done as soon as possible because my dmv reg was due on the same day (6÷2÷15). I went in, explained my situation, and was reassured my registration will be all good.
I will definitely come back the next time I need another smog… Highly recommended if you live close by!

Cant complain here. I dropped off my car for a smog check ($ 40) and oil change ($ 25) and they said they would be done in an hour. I dropped off my car and was gonna pick it up later but I ended up eating at Jang Su Jang that I could have practically walked to. By the time I finished my food, the car was ready to be picked up so I didnt need to have arranged a ride and stuff. Sweet doe. This is attached to a gas station btdubs. Quick and cheaper than other places so cant go wrong.

Quite busy for a early morning. I did not have an appointment but they were able to service my smog check efficiently. The mechanics are nice guys. Front desk lady is a bit stoic in nature but I guess you don’t need to have «service with a smile» in a Gas Station extension facility.
Overall they didn’t waste my time which I appreciated. I’d come here again… for a smile :)

These guys were great! I came in at the end of the day and needed a smog test for a DMV appointment the next morning. They moved all their work around just to get me my certification on time.
The price was exactly as advertised. And super friendly too.

This was for a smog check.
Called around 8:05am and made an appointment for 8:30am.
Got there 8:35am, 5 minutes late.
Was told by a very rude mechanic that since I’m late, I have to wait 25 min for another car to finish (looks like they haven’t started on it).
I asked, it’s only 5 minutes. The mechanics response was something to the effect of «too bad, your late, every minute counts…»
I was going to wait but his attitude really bothered me so, I asked «Why not just call me and let me know (they took my phone # when I made the appointment), I could of come later.»
The mechanics response was «Your the one who’s late. I don’t need to call you. You should of called.»
At that point, I left.
Now, I was late 5 minutes and if he was nice about it, I would of waited. However, I don’t need his unprofessional and extremely rude behavior.

I have been dating Smog Pros on and off again, but after this last experience, I will definitely stay a loyal customer!
I was so happy with the speedy and kind service. I got my oil changed within 15 minutes, I was in and out and on the road! The cost for a regular change is 25 $ and sometimes they offer special promotions. What I like best is that they keep you information in their system based on your license plate number. This makes the service even faster, they just look up the license and they have the model, make, personal info, and what kind of oil to change it in, within seconds!
I have also done my smog here and they haven’t let me down yet!
An extra note is that they have a really clean facility, some smog and oil places can get pretty greasy and grimy looking, they keep it organized and neat!

As mentioned by most folks, price is 40 dollars and i think if you dont pass you get a free test or something… but i think most places do this…
Main reason I liked this place: lots of parking in the back area, and very quick. Came during lunch time, in and out in less than an hour.
The owner of the business was pretty friendly too. Would definitely come back when i need my car to be smog tested.

$ 40 out the door for my recent smog check! I kept cancelling and changing my appointments and they happily accommodated to my two last minute changes, hehe sorry! :x The gentlemen at the front was super nice on the phone and while helping me fill out the paper work. Everything took about 30 mins and before i knew it, my car was ready. Free coffee or tea next door while you’re waiting!

I needed a smog check to register my out-​of-​state car. I tried a couple of highly recommended places near downtown San Jose — one was closed; the other so full that I couldn’t find parking even blocks away from it.
I tried Smog Pros on a Saturday morning. We had to wait only a few minutes at the counter. They used the paperwork from the DMV to obtain the vehicle information. They charged $ 40 dollars for the inspection and certificate, and it was done in less than 30 minutes. The price was the best I found anywhere.

This place was super quick and got the job done super fast!
I needed a smog check and I stopped by here to get one. They were done in less than 20 minutes which was great because I’m not a patient person. They charged me around $ 40 dollars which wasn’t too bad but I feel like you can find cheaper ones around the area. Still, this place has great service from the receptionist to the mechanic and I have no complaints! Plus they open till 5 on Saturday :)
