I have had a few friends including myself, who had alarms and cameras installed by Jimmy had had no problems in the past. but now theres a new owner whos an
complete opposite. please trust me when I say not to work with this company. they are very crooked… they charge you hundreds of dollars to replace a device and say they give new device but they lie and give you used parts… they use unprofessional ways to install cameras on outside walls… for example no waterproof conduits and junction boxes .they if any will use conduits and j boxes that are used only for inside. but they will try to lie and say its ok… I truly believe they do this so in a year they can charge you to come out and replace all the water damaged parts… but that’s not the worst thing about this company… a few people I know who have used them few years back… are very suspicious of them. meaning they were broken into (warehouse) and had things stolen without the alarm working they may have thieves working for them…
When I called Roger about my concern about the used parts his technician was replacing at my office … he spoke to me with a sort a soft voice like I was a child… trying his hardest not to give me a straight answer trying basically to say what ever he can to shut me up. If you are wanting an alarm or camera system installed your better off with a more professional company and ask a lot of questions on how and with what kind of materials they’ll be using.

We’ve used Safco for our Fremont home for about 3 years now. We have had no issues. At least twice we called them for a few questions (one time was for the alarm beeping which was because we replaced the battery incorrectly, another time we accidentally triggered the alarm), but they promptly got back to us and walked us through how to fix the problems. I’m surprised at other people’s negative reviews about the service. In any case, it’s nice knowing that our home is secured, since there have been a few cases of burglary around the neighborhood (and we live in a more «safe and quiet» location). I would recommend getting your home secured before rather than after any house break-​ins occur!

Our family used Safco security in our Cupertino home. They were great and professional; we had no issues with our security system whatsoever. Don’t understand the low rating, as I have never had an issue.

I was treated harshly by this company. They were not helpful at all. They gave
me the cold shoulder after so many years gone by. They’ve never instructed me
about their home alarm system nor the alarm’s access codes when I first
purchased my home new. When I called them for assistance, they completely
ignored me. All I wanted was to familiarize with this alarm system which they
installed through Lion Estates. And to service it if need be. I’ve never used it.
Roger was terrible to deal with. But I’ve moved-​on, and washed my hands on
this matter along with the house.
I’ve edited this review to clean it up, become professional without damaging
anybody’s reputation. The rating still stands, but can only hope that this business
changes its tactics so everybody benefits in an ethical business environment.

Watch out! This business is run by a crook, Roger. I’ve been a customer for the past 5 years, and the first time I needed technical support (as my alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night! repeatedly, and the trouble light is on!) I had the most difficult time finally getting a hold of someone even around 10am, and then they refused to instruct me how to shut off the system, unless I pay $ 80 for a technician! Way to go for tech support! They had no problem offering all kinds of available technical support any time of day when I bought into their scam 5 years ago, had no trouble cashing my checks every 3months, but when their system is malfunctioning they’re not willing to fix it! This is the first time I’ve dealt with a business with such poor ethics and PR. Beware! I guess I’ll pay the $ 80, but the thought of Small Claims Court is becoming more and more appealing to me as I’m awakened yet again @ 3am by a troubled alarm system!

Safco is a professional and honest company, No high pressure sales pitch. For 20 years the owner Jimmy works primarily on referrals from his customers. Jimmy personally came to my home and gave me an estimate. He has plenty of business from referrals so he does not have to give you any high pressure to buy. When I decided to buy a surveillance camera system for outside my home his crew showed up on time. They worked until they finished the job. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. I am very satisfied with Safco.
