Fantastic Place to Play

Hot asian girls. We did some blow in the bathroom & hit ping pong balls for 3 hours. Exhausting but fun

Very friendly staffs with group lesson with them. I have learned all basic skills from this 5 days beginner class with cost at very reasonable price. I think I learned more than classes taken at other places.

I would give this place 5 stars but one of the female workers here (I feel) gives our group of friends the stink eye when we walk in or when our rallies get a little too intense. Other than her, all the other workers are pretty friendly.
Nonetheless, this is a great place to fulfill that impulse to play ping pong. They have a lot of tables to play on. Weekdays they have a lunch special from 12−2pm for $ 4. Ping pong balls provided for free. BYOR (bring your own racket) or you can rent one for like $ 0.50 cents.

This place is a hidden gem for ping pong enthusiasts. Tucked away in a secluded plaza behind the Milpitas Police Station, Ping Pong Dojo is a must-​visit for players of all ages and levels. If you drop in on Tuesday and Friday nights, the place will be jam packed with really amazing advanced players.
Inspired by the table tennis matches on «Cool Kiz on the Block», I searched for beginner lessons in the South Bay, and found the LivingSocial coupon. $ 25 dollars for 5 classes — what a great deal! The 5 week period covers the basics of forehand, backhand, footwork, and serving in a group class setting. You get short 1:1 drills with the owner Hung and professional coaches, who are insightful and passionate.
I bought a Butterfly racket w/​case which was similar to the pricing on the official Butterfly site. I liked the Beginner class so much that I am also continuing on with the Beginner Plus class, which is 8 weeks and 1.5 hours long, and limited to a small class size of 3 so that you get a lot more time with the coaches.
I never realized how difficult ping pong was — it requires a really high level of focus, coordination, mastery of timing, emotional control, and fitness. I signed up for a trial membership for beginners, which allows for unlimited play for 3 months. After breaking a good sweat from a practice session, my mind feels clear and free of stress and my body feels agile and light. I am so glad I found this place!

My husband and I are taking the beginner lesson here. We bought our deal from LivingSocial. The classes are great. All staff are very nice and friendly. We have 1 main and 2 assisting instructors. They’re very good at teaching and always make sure you learn it correctly and help you out one-​on-​one. The ratio between instructors and students are good. We have been learning so much. We’ll continue taking classes here. Drop in fee is $ 7 I believe, you can play all you want. You can rent paddle for $ 1. This place is so affordable. Highly recommend beginners to start here.

Currently taking an adult beginner ping pong class here. Pretty good experience thus far. The owner and coaches spend a lot of time working with each student on their form. Its really obvious that the guy that owns this place cares a lot about ping pong and his students!

I found this place through the living social coupon. Yesterday was my first class and i very much impressed. The coaches were excellent and taught me the right techniques with continued supervision. Though it is a group class you are given individual attention. Hope to learn more and become a good player.

Great place to play ping pong!
We came around 12:30 PM on Friday and they have a South Bay Ping Pong Meetup going on. Everyone was really nice. We got some pointers on how to play (and improve) and it was just a really chill vibe.
$ 2/​person to play during lunch hour is hard to beat!

This place was awesome :) I have no idea how to play ping pong, but my friend and I were inspired to play after we found out how many Olympians the Bay Area sent haha.
Anyways, it’s a bit difficult to find so you just have to be a bit observant when you’re going there. It’s a small place, but everyone is really friendly :) I think most of my conversations yesterday night involved «Sorry“s and «Thank you“s since my ping pong ball constantly rolled over to other people’s tables, but everyone was very tolerant and friendly which made me quite happy.
I don’t really know how to judge ping pong gyms or anything, but I think this one is pretty cool. They’ve raised their prices since the first review, so it’s actually $ 7/​person. They let us borrow their paddles and ping pong balls which was very nice.
Lots of veteran players, and it was pretty cool watching them play. Nice place! I’ll stop by if I have the itch to play again.

I have taken two classes at Ping Pong Dojo. The instructors are excellent and the owner is very enthusiastic about teaching beginners the love of the sport.

A really enjoyable place to play table tennis and learn from world class coaches. I took lessons and got a chance to learn the fundamentals of the game. It’s one thing to play casual ping pong, but quite another to understand the true mechanics to the game. My game has definitely improved. Highly recommend it.

The facilities is one of the best in the Milpitas area and both owner and instructors are friendly and helpful. Weijian and Amy are top-​notch instructors that are adept at fixing technical flaws for folks that are looking to take their game to the next level.
The U2000 league is also a very good environment for both kids and adults.

Summer Camp Review: This is the best place that I have found so far. My son is currently attending a whole day summer camp. He has completed 4 week and plan to attend 4 more weeks till the school starts.
This place is not crowded and my son get lot of attention. The average students on one table /​coach are 2 to 3. The coaches are very friendly and are willing to work with individual student during the camp. He is getting the same training that he would get on one-​on-​one private training.
His rating has jumped from 150 to 350 in few weeks. The cost of the whole day camp is only 275 and they don’t charge for extended stay. This camp is for kids who want to train very hard. They have two session of 3 hour each day morning and afternoon, so he gets 6 hours of training.
After every league that he plays during the camp (for free), I usually go back to the coach and provide him feedback on what he needs to work on with my kid. I have tried this at other places and the response that I got was «He need to attend a private 1-​on-​1 training».
They also have robots that they use during the camp (for free). Training on Robot can cost me 60 to 100 $ per hour.
The training is non stop, while the coach is training others, my son either practices on robot or other kids (he is not picking up balls from the floor)
I am so glad that I found this place.

I went here with a friend to play some singles. We are not by any means «advanced» but just wanted to have some fun. I think there were about 8 tables or so. We came at about 2:30 (the place opens at 2) on a Saturday and by the time we left (a little after 4), only 2 other people had come in so being crowded wasn’t an issue. Although the staff seemed to play/​practice with one another, they seemed friendly.
With the bowling center at SJSU closed until early January, this seemed to be the only place to play ping pong in San Jose, that I could find at least. The drop-​in fee was $ 6 per person for some reason, instead of $ 5 like the other reviewer posted.
–1 star for the hard to find entrance. There weren’t any signs up, just this little door. Hard to find, but not impossible. Overall good place to play casually or competitively. We had our own paddles but they let us use their balls; so I don’t know if they rent out paddles or not.

i’m a total n00b @ ping pong, but from what i could gather, the facilities were nice and the people were friendly enough. they’re cash only, and i recommend that you call before showing up.
drop-​in play was a flat fee of $ 5 per person, which i didn’t find too steep. perhaps the best part of the experience was watching kids (some whose heads barely cleared the table) training hard to become the next champ… goes well with their tagline on their website, which is «where ping pong can be fun and serious.»
