So here’s my story… Until recently I never ever believed I’d get lice. I mean, I have heard of it but I never thought I’d ever come in contact with it.
Well…needless to say, my son contracted it from his school (he’s 7) and I ended up getting it.
The surprising thing was for about a month I couldn’t figure out why my scalp was itchy. I’m prone to dandruff so I wrote it off as the cold season and so I’m obviously having a reaction with dandruff.
But when my son came home with a school notification a few days ago stating that «your child may have come into contact with lice…» I instinctively thought of myself. I made an apt at the docs when then verified I had lice. They gave me an over the counter perception of a do it yourself kit. I was like, «no way do I have a clue how to do this and I certainly want to make sure it’s all gone.» So right afterwards, I Unilocaled places that might be able to handle a situation like this and found Nitzy.
I spoke with the owner Tien who was kind, compassionate, and knowledgable.
I got a same day appt and Michelle helped me out. She made me feel so comfortable and spent so much time educating me and working on my hair. She did an amazing job!
I then went straight to pick my son up and noticed right away that he had nits! Tien met me in their Sunnyvale office and took care of him. She was just amazing as well!
I’m so grateful and it was a great price for the amount of time they work on you. I’d rather pay a decent price for peace of mind knowing these gross bugs won’t come back!

Took me in on a same day last-​minute phone call the morning after I found out I had lice (I work with kids, and was told by someone styling my hair that I had an infestation — eek!). I’m 22, and I never had to deal with this as a kid.
Tien was super helpful with setting up the appointment, figuring out payment, and making sure everything went smoothly — she wasn’t there to do the treatment but the woman who did my treatment (Melissa? I’m horrible at remembering names!) was very kind, professional, helpful, and understanding of my situation.
The AirAlle treatment is surprisingly relaxing, and didn’t feel like it was burning my scalp (it only felt really hot in a few spots where my scalp was already sunburned, oops). She really took her time with the comb-​through, super tedious, making sure to remove every last little nit, and did a very thorough job.
I picked up one of their awesome lice combs to continue checking at home, but I’ve been lice-​free for almost a month now! It is pricey, but so worth it to just get rid of it in one shot — and they do a guarantee too (not sure the details) but I’m just relieved the treatment eradicated the lice.
You’re paying for a high-​quality service and some peace of mind. To me, that’s worth it.

I was living a NIT-​mare the day after Christmas 2014, when I discovered I, my daughter, and son all had LICE! I had it growing up and remember the horror my mom went through trying to get rid of it, somehow she did without Tien from Nitzy.
I battled this infestation for weeks (a trip to Iowa and back, a school who really didn’t care to tell or investigate other kids for lice). CDC policy for lice is very loose… no live lice but nits are allowed in school… NO THANK YOU. After weeks of struggling and passing it along to one neighbor and our niece my sister in law found NItzy and I thought well I know I am close to being rid of LICE (only because I switched to olive oil cap and nightly comb out, the over counter is a joke!) but why not make an appointment to get checked and maybe combed through. Not to my surprise Tien found a couple nits on me and my daughter, my son was in the clear. I realized at that moment I would never be sane unless I paid and got completely treated with her air-​elle machine. Luckily my HSA credit card could be taken for payment so it was not out of pocket… I bought the prevention spray and comb too.
The treatment process was fine, easy, and obviously affective going on over a month lice free and so happy. Tien and her sister in law treated my family and I loved them (Tien treated me to a glass of wine to calm me down) she and her sister in law were sweet, gentle, positive, and answered/​listened to all my crazy talk and questions. I hope to never have to see them again but highly recommend them to anyone else who has to deal with this NIT-​mare. I will keep up my prevention regimen and now do a basic comb through once a week and nightly just keep on eye out when I brush my kids hair after bath. It’s so easy to get comfortable and never really look in your child’s hair but do yourself a favor and do it every night or at least a good look through once a week during school age 5 – 12 years old.

Not good! My son was infested with lice so I went to this location because of the one time treatment. The technician was very accommodating and took us right away. My son wasn’t a big fan of the comb out but the technician said that the lice and nit had all been dehydrated. I also had her check my head and my daughters and said we were good to go. When I got home and cleaned his hair out I saw a live bug and lots of nits. When I pulled it out they popped which means they were still alive!!! Well after I found the live lice I called another business and they found nits on all 3 of us! Luckily Dina was able to get each and everyone of those nasty things out. Again my son wasn’t a fan at all of the comb out but this technician was able to calm him down and get those things out! Sorry but I do NOT trust the air allé. No good!

I discovered my daughter had lice the same day she was let out for Christmas vacation from school. Fortunately the rest of us were clear. I reluctantly bought the over the counter shampoo’s and began treating her hair. It was such a frustrating process. I proceeded to comb out her hair the next few days and continued to wash/​dry and vacuum every inch of everything in my house. I checked her hair on a daily basis for the next 1.5 weeks and then Christmas & New Years hit so I got distracted.
The night before she was to go back to school I decided to check her hair. To my horror she had nits again! I asked my husband to check my hair and wouldn’t you know I had them too. I couldn’t believe we both had lice! I felt like I failed the first time around. I did lots of research after the first treatment and I had no idea places like Nitzy existed. I was happy that it was a chemical free treatment and it was a much shorter process than the do it yourself methods.
I called first thing Monday morning and Tien was able to schedule us for early that afternoon. The salon is very clean and welcoming. My daughter sat with an ipad that kept her entertained for the hour long treatment. I had my treatment afterwards. My husband and older daughter were clear but we bought an oil for my older daughter as a preventative measure– just in case!
It’s been 2.5 weeks since and we are looking good. I’ve been a little paranoid so I asked Tien to do a head check. She got us in quickly and we are clear. Tien has been so helpful throughout everything. We will never use the over the counter products again. No parent wants to deal with this but in the event you have to — Nitzy is the place you want to go!

Every parent’s WORST nightmare is to discover that their child has lice. We happened to find out about the outbreak in my daughter’s classroom after the fact, unfortunately, while we were out of town on vacation. We were immediately referred to Nitzy’s and I can’t tell you how thankful I was!
First of all, they were able to accommodate us last minute on a Sunday! Tien and Julia were so welcoming and friendly. It felt as if they had opened up their home to us!
This was our first experience with lice and I couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed when discussing the problem but they were so understanding and reassured us that this was very common amongst school-​age children.
The treatment was gentle and the ladies were incredibly thorough, going through every inch of our daughter’s thick, long hair. The attention to detail was superior. They answered all of our questions, gave us a lot of information, and discussed prevention techniques.
They even offered my son some snacks as he was waiting! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at ease.
The facility is clean, well-​lit and cheery. There is a TV in the waiting room for the other family members. There is also a window to the treatment area if one cares to watch.
My experience here was well worth the time and money just to see the confidence return to my daughter’s face. They go the extra mile here for their customers and that is why I felt the need to write this review even though it is a rather embarrassing subject.
I would recommend this place to anybody who has the misfortune of dealing with lice. I am so glad I did not have to do the comb-​out! Thank goodness there is a place to handle everything for you!

Tien is amazing! With daughters and THICK hair, lice has always been my biggest fear. When we realized my girls had lice, I immediately went to CVS and got NIX. After spending all Christmas day night combing through their hair and doing massive laundry, I started googling professional treatments. I called Tien on Chrstmas and she answered!!!, and talked to me right away. Tien scheduled us the next day 11am. We were at Nitzy for 2 hours, and no more Lice!!! All gone with one treatment!!! I highly recommend Nitzy, and although I hope to never have to go back, I would not hesitate if we have lice in the future. Money well spent! Do not try home remedy as bugs have found their way around this chemical. GO TO NITZY AND SEE TIEN!!!”

It never occurred to me a business like this would exist, but I’m so glad they do! When my daughter was sent home last week with lice, I was frantic. I’d never had them myself, and was armed only with the basic info the school health clerk gave me to try to get rid of them. I was fortunate enough to have a good (very, very good) friend try to help me delouse not only my daughter, but her two siblings and me! All three of my kids have a LOT of hair, and after spending over 12 hours, and all night, trying to comb all the little buggers out, I wanted to shave my head and cry.
My daughter’s school initially recommended Nitzy, and at first I couldn’t fathom paying so much to do what I could do with a kit. HA! Julia and her team are quick, efficient, and kind. The AirAlle method worked so much better than the traditional comb out method, not just because the heat is more efficient at killing the eggs, but the hourly rate I would have paid for all the hair my family has, would have been way more expensive.
And so far, so good, I’ve followed all of Julia’s advice for ridding the house of any possible lice, and strongly feel a visit to Nitzy was money well spent.

So yesterday after finding out that my daughter had lice I was a little freaked out. I was surfing the web looking for what I needed to do and came upon this business. So I immediately called the business not really looking at anything other than they can fix this problem in one processes I was in.
I called the number and Tan answered the phone and could tell I was a little nervous ok freaked out, she took action fast. Next thing I know they would take us that evening… you have no idea how relived I was.
So we the family dad included made our way to their office to meet up with Julia whom was prompt and ready to go. Julia explained every thing step by step. Let us know it was going to be a little bit of a long process but would be painless and work! No follow up treatment necessary. I’m in!
So next step was to check mom and dad… well if you haven’t guessed it my daughter was nice enough to share with mommy and of course dad was all clear.
To wrap this up the women were amazing kind and know what they are doing. They also give you a nice certificated to provide to the school to prove your child has been treated. Cudos ladies for taking us in at such a late hour and making us feel comfortable.
I know this is a subject most people would be embarrassed by but after being educated about the little critters I comfortable to review and recommend this company.

While on vacation, we discovered lice on our kids. Not proud to admit that, but I guess NIT happens! The ladies here were very prompt and professional during a time of panic for our family. They were great — very caring and gentle with our kids. Nice clean setup with safe air drying treatment and chemical-​free products. Glad I didn’t have to deal with the chemicals myself. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone but would absolutely recommend Nitzy. Overall great experience.

My sister took her two daughters here a few weeks back. One of her girls may have gotten lice from someone in her Girl Scouts troop. Of course one daughter passed it on to the other. Their mom wasn’t sure if those harsh shampoos really work or not. Looks like the tiny eggs are extremely hard to kill. There’s a good chance she’ll have to reshampoo them in a week or so once the eggs hatch.
So out of frustration she did some research and found this place. Seems like the place is brand new. Everything is clean and well organized. People here were really friendly and helpful too. The two ladies walked them through the process and showed them what they needed to do when they got back home. Guess what? Not only did the girls get treated but their mom had it as well.
Well, my sister said the process was pretty quick and painless, almost like going to a salon. But at least she now has the peace of mind knowing the problem was taken care of. She said they even had a guarantee too if it came back within a few weeks. Knock on wood, it’s been two and half weeks now and there are no signs of the lice or their eggs. And my nieces are pretty happy just being themselves and playing with their friends. But maybe not as happy as their mom is.
She said she hoped this would never happen to them ever again but if it did she now knows exactly where to go.
