Dr. Patel is my miracle worker. I suffer from migraines, lower back pain, and more! He keeps me feeling healthy, and productive. Unfortunately, I had to move away, and must say that he is the one thing I miss the most! The office staff is amazing, and MaryEllen is the best! I introduced Milpitas Spine Center to my entire family and they continue to go.
I have nothing but positive things to say about this facility, staff, massage therapists, and doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Milpitas Spine Center.

Top notch staff! All the therapists are so welcoming and Dr. P is an awesome chiropractor. We’ve been coming here for about two years and we keep coming back as long as they’re around.

Dr. Riley is super amazing. I had a calf strain from training for a half marathon and a really bad neck problem from bad posture at work. After the initial assessment my calf strain flew out of the window and I am so glad I can still run my half — marathon. He is working on my neck and the adjustments he gave me are pretty good. Although more sessions for the neck I would think. Also overall the ladies at the front desk are pretty amazing and very flexible. I like this place, will come back and will recommend it to everyone.

July 2015 I was in a very horrific car accidents in result of back and neck and spinal injury through my lawyer I was referred to Milpitas Spine Center. I am happy to say that Dr Riley dr. Patel MT marina Office manager Maryellen. Have made this new journey in life such a wonderful 1 taking their time smiling be patient and kind and gentle. I love this office I love this staff what a wonderful dynamic they have with in this office of great team I would refer this office to anyone with any type of back or neck discomfort. All doctors in this office are very patient and kind and educational and professional. I can’t say enough good things about this staff, more like a family and that’s what you want when you’re in pain grumpy and grouchy is your family to take care of you. Visit this office get a new experience on life with your new back and neck.

Did you know that you’re supposed to feel something when someone pokes your back? I had nerve damage and didn’t know it due to stress and other damaging things from growing up [like carrying a very heavy backpack throughout puberty].
Now, with regular adjustments, my immune system is stronger, I’m more flexible, and I’m a little taller. :D

This chiropractor was more interested in me getting a lawyer instead of helping me with my back pain. I was asked about my back pain 2 – 3 times vs the 15 – 20 times he mentioned «lawyer». I’m sure he’s a good chiropractor, just have to get pass the grilling to get a lawyer. The patient should be their first priority not the $$$.

Dr Patel, Dr Riley, and the entire staff at Milpitas Spine Center are the most caring, results-​oriented, and professional chiropractors in the entire area. They listen to their patients, find out the exact cause of pain or discomfort, and create a personalized treatment plan to get people out of pain, and onto a lifestyle of health and wellness.

I went to see Dr Patel on a chronic shoulder-​neck pain that has been around for many years — the Ortho wanted to cut me up to fix it, another Chiro preciously put me on the «stretch» machine (the ones that is akin to how the Mongols purportedly stretched their condemned prisoners by tying their extremities to horses and moving them in 4 different directions of the compass…)… needless to say, I lived with the pain for quite a while…
Anyway, been seeing Dr Patel for a couple of months recently, skeptically at first, but must say that the pain have definitely reduced and I feel my shoulders a lot looser — beyond the actual care (I like the fact that he doesn’t rely on «machines» for stretches but is very hands on, thus knowing exactly the pts to fix), the recommended exercises etc have helped because they complemented the actual chiropractic care.
Must say that I am pleasantly surprised at this improvement, although not permanently fixed (doubt it will be), it has definitely improved the situation!

And btw, if you get a chance to, get a 30 mins therapeutic massage too — they do work out the kinks and is quite complementary to the chiro care! Shout out to Alicia for helping me and Morena (sp?) is good too!

Was really hurting today and made a call to see if Dr. Riley had any available appointments, they were able to see me right away AND Dr. Riley gave me a complimentary adjustment to boot!!!

Dr. Patel is amazing. As a hairdresser I struggle with back pain. Since coming to him I have felt much better. I also see Morena prior to getting my adjustment for a massage. She knows exactly the right areas to work on. I look forward to each visit.

An unbelievable experience! Firstly, my appt was at 2:30, i received a call the morning of with a confirmation that my appt was at 2:45, I said ok, thought it was at 2:30, she said oh yes i usually tell people to come early. makes sense. then i get a call a little after 2 and she asks if i could actually be there at 2:30 now. sure — i packed up my things at work and got there at 2:30. waited until 2:45.
And now… Dr. Riley! Greeted me and walked me to the back. So what brings you here. I explain that i was looking for a chiro closer to home that accepts my HMO insurance — they do. however, Dr. Riley continues to go on about how my insurance is horrible and that although my insurance covers 20 visits per calendar year, he cannot bill more than 5 – 8 visits due to the fact that the insurer would drop him from the network if he bills more. WHAT?! Unless the appts are for multiple injuries. WHAT?! I couldn’t believe he was going on. So I ask, why would my insurance say they cover 20 visits but not allow you to bill 20 visits. He asked why I left PPO. He asks why didn’t I come to him when I had PPO. He never asked me about my condition but did say that he could help me and went on about my insurance as i stood there is absolute amazement. He went on saying that many Chiro’s do the work without billing the insurance companies which is why I many have had more appts in the past. I was starting to feel very uncomfortable and didn’t understand why this was now turning into an argument. I was so upset. I let Dr. Riley know that I was feeling uncomfortable with the way this conversation was going. If Milpitas Spine Center accepts my HMO, and my HMO provides 20 chiropractic visits, then MSC should allow 20 visits.
I’m not going to say what I think his intentions were because it is only an assumption. But I walked out after 10 minutes. So disappointing.

I came here in very bad state. Where I can not live my life normally. Have to compensate many things because of my back pain.
I met DR. Riley and one of the best chiropractor I have ever seen super friendly and he helps you understand what exactly is going wrong and how do we fix it.
Now it’s time for me to do all that I missed and I things that I tght I could never do in my life time.

I absolutely LOVE my chiropractor!!! Cannot say enough how much I appreciate the time and care all of the staff gives every patient! Dr Patel is amazing! I went from migraines and neck pain to finally having good nights of sleep. The front desk and the massage therapists treat you like your family. My son who gets beat up in Rugby and football cannot wait to see his chiropractor for appointments. All of this without a single need to take a pain med… I love that.

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Dr. Patel for almost 3 years now, and am here to stay. Rarely do you find a place where you can honestly say that the service is great from the moment you step through the front door, to the moment you leave. I have had to see Dr. Patel for my prenatal back care, my postnatal back care, a car accident, and my routine overall back health. I have never had any issues with them. I will say that sometimes there is a wait, but they are always super apologetic when that happens as well, and explain what is going on.
Dr. Patel is a highly skilled, knowledgeable chiropractor. He does a great job with his adjustments, and I honestly feel the difference when too much time has lapsed between appointments. He answers all of my questions to the best of his ability, and uses current data and research to support his advice. He is very detail oriented when explaining the anatomy of my back and how my day to day routine affects the overall wellness of my spine, especially during the time of my pregnancy. During the time of my recent car accident, he was very helpful in telling me what to expect in my recovery, and what I can do to help my body recover. Now that I am feeling much better, it is much easier to see how much chiropractic care has helped me.
Although I mainly see Dr. Patel, I have seen Dr. Riley as well, and he is just as great. If my schedule does not allow me to see Dr. Patel, I trust Dr. Riley with my back as well.
Alicia is my main massage therapist that I see, and on occasion I see Tamika as well. Both are great at what they do. They definitely have different styles, depending on what your body needs and what you prefer. Alicia is very good at focusing on the areas of most need, and really works them. I honestly cringe sometimes when I get my massage, but I know I will feel better later, so I tough it out as best as I can. I am constantly carrying my children, and other heavy things, and she definitely helps me get through my day to day life. Tamika is also a great therapist, and if I do not have a massage that day, she helps warm up my back and gives me a mini massage from time to time as well.
Jennifer and Tamika help me schedule my appointments. They are very good at returning calls, and trying to squeeze me in for an appointment wherever they can. They call me if something opens up, and are always very friendly and understanding.

I have seen many chiropractors since a rollover accident back in 2000, and Dr. Patel is seriously the best. He has a whole-​patient approach, and asks questions to ensure you are taking care of yourself to be in optimal health. You can tell he cares about what he does and is sincere and personable with his patients. The staff at Milpitas Spine Center is top-​notch as well. They are all super friendly, professional, and make an effort to know all their patients by name, on sight. I highly recommend Milpitas Spine Center and Dr. Patel if you are seeking pain-​free, healthy living.

I came to MSC after being in a car accident.
The staff at MSC where great, friendly and very helpful.
I found that the Doctors took great care when it came to my healing and pain.
While in treatment I unfortunately was in another car accident. I was rear-​ended and I found myself back at stage one.
Once again the staff and Doctors at MSC did everything possible to ensure I was taken care of.
I plan on continuing my treatment with MSC to ensure that I can manage the pain that I live with on a daily bases.

After several consultation, I’ve found the chiropractor to go to and that’s Milpitas Spine Center with Dr. Patel. His very practical and will work with you to heal you naturally. He will be blunt with you and ensure you will feel comfortable with him. He makes adjustments very easy going and gets personal with you unlike general practice physicians you tend to find. If you have a problem, talk to him and he’ll take a look at it and suggest what he can do; if he can’t he will tell you he can’t and will suggest what your next steps should be.
The massage therapy staff is great along with the office manager Jenn! All very courteous. Alicia and Teneka are definitely awesome at their massages. They definitely know how to loosen the knots on my back and if you know me. you’ll know I have knots constantly from the long work hours and stress.

I went in to see Dr. Riley using a Groupon a few months ago. I had never tried chiropractic treatment until then, but the groupon deal convinced me to give it a shot. My overall experience with Dr. Riley was not positive.
In case you get bored and don’t read my entire review, I’ll just tell you up front that, in my first appointment, he tried to sell me the particular brand of vitamins that are displayed in the waiting room. Red flag.
There is a form that you fill out in the beginning to list your various health concerns… my primary concern was neck pain, but there was a question on the survey about urinary health… Without getting into too much detail, we talked about these issues, and I told him that one of the things I do to help control my health is take cranberry supplements. He asked, «why not just eat cranberries?» I was pretty floored… Do you know how many cranberries you have to eat, and how much juice you have to drink to get an effective level of cranberry tannins to prevent UTIs? 16 glasses. Do you know how much sugar is in that stuff? Hello, calorie consumption! Pretty ridiculously uninformed.
Then, when he asked me if I was taking a multivitamin, I said yes. He asked what kind, and literally scoffed at me for using a generic brand. «let me know when you want to work on that,» he said. Rude. Of course, this prompted me to do some research on multivitamins, and I found that there are definitely better vitamins out there than the ones I was taking. Fair criticism, but unprofessionally communicated. And I also read about the brand of vitamins he sells… They are typically sold through chiropractic care centers… i.e. not nutrition centers. Another red flag?
Finally, I will say that my first adjustment did provide some relief. I left feeling lightness in my back… Really nice. This convinced me that chiropractics might be useful, but I also concluded that Dr. Riley is not the guy for me. I happen to think his kind of service is the type that gives chiropractics a bad name. I now go to Spine and Sports Institute in Sunnyvale, and I’m very satisfied with both the lack of product pitches, and the more comprehensive approach to treatment, which includes strengthening, and not just adjustments.

I highly recommend Dr. Riley here.
I think one of the most screwed up things with our health care system is that Doctors are not incentivized to spend time explaining things to their patients. Dr. Riley is different. He really takes the time to explain every single (yes, EVERY) question that you have for him. In fact, he would even ask you again near the end of the discussion, «any more questions?»
This is truly rare among medical practioners.
In addition, I enjoy talking fantasy football with Dr. Riley. Doc, you are in way too many leagues.
