One star because you can’t give a negative 5.
1. The room smelled like MOLD!
2. There was a rolled up paper stuck in the door’s peep hole… why?
3. Sheets are either beige or dirty white with mysterious stains…
4. Furniture looks like they picked them up from the streets…
5. My wife and I had to sleep with sweaters and jeans on… (we booked due to emergency only)
6. Their idea of non-​smoking room is a door with a no smoking sign… but it was not enforced.
7. Cigarette butt all over the place.
8. Clerk was on Facebook as we checked in through a thick bulletproof window with a little hole enough to hear and to slip the key through.
9. Suspicious people always walking around the premise.
10. Strange non-​tenent people hanging out by the stairs…
11. Two cop cars pull in the parking lot as we were arriving.
12. No class at all and really ghetto!
HERE IS THE BIGGER REASON!
1. THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT EVEN THOUGH YOU BOOKED THROUGH PRICELINE AND PRETEND THEY MADE A MISTAKE! It literally took 20 days to get our refund… after repeatedly calling them and fixing THEIR «mistake» for them.
2. If you stayed here, please watch your account as they will try to hustle you with another charge!
DO NOT STAY HERE!

PLEASE CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN OR UPGRADE THE ENTIRE PLACE… My family and I paid to stay in a non smoking room, however when we arrived the room smelled gross, like pee and smoke. the carpet was super dirty. I did not allow my kids to remove their shoes. the windows didn’t stay up, the screen in the bathroom window was slashed, the toilet seat was old and worn. and the coffee maker was disgusting. we spent 15mins in the room and left to get a refund… I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND THE OWNERS NEED A SWIFT KICK IN THE ASS FOR THIS DISASTER…

This place is gross! Hookers and drug dealers. It didnt smell clean or look clean. If i could give them zero stars i would. Dont waste your money here. They are the slum lords of motels. Id never stay there again

Good basic motel. Clean, safe, easy to find. Coffee in the room. No blankets, just several thick sheets, which was odd. The pool is freezing cold, but oh well. Free wifi.

This place was completely disgusting. The king «non-​smoking» room completely smelled like smoke. The bathroom was an utter disgust. There seemed to have been dried blood stains on the tub, on the bathroom door and on the sink. The floors were completely dirty. I couldn’t stand to be in that room for more than an hour. I grabbed my stuff and went to a different hotel. The staff didn’t really seem to care about my complaint, they simply just refunded me my money. This place should be shut down. I couldn’t believe that orbitz would even bother allowing this hotel on their site. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra on a better hotel.

Nasty hotel read others reviews if your looking for drugs and prostitution perfect place. The room is not clean the beds suck the hot water didn’t work for shower so they give us a key to take showers downstairs ask them to fix bed never did

I would not even give this place one star. This place should be demolished. The room was dirty, the TV and fridge did not work, the place was just nasty. Don’t go there!

Total sharthole! Been staying here for an out-​of-​town job for the last few weeks. Being that’s it’s expensive to stay anywhere in The Bay Area, $ 120 a night is as cheap as it gets. You’d think I’d get my room cleaned and new towels at least every other day for that price… Nope… Instead of continuing my rant I’ll just list a few of the issues.
Non smoking room stinks of smoke
Carpet, bathtub, counters have cig burns
Shower sprays water in all directions and goes from scorching hot to cold
Overall feeling and look of filth
Always loud drama going on outside, including the prostitution sting last week… You get what you pay for, I guess… Except at this place.

Do yourself a big favor… please avoid it… disgusting rooms… stinky. and smelly.they should close this place… can someone tell me how to file a complaint .it’s a health hazard… feeling miserable to give one star too.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My cousin and I rolled in after a 14 hour drive from washington, just looking for a place to crash and then drive the rest of the way home to LA. I had called Milpitas Inn when we were 3 hours away and booked a room. The price was right, pics looked fine on the website, and we just needed a clean, safe place to get a little sleep before hitting the road again. We certainly weren’t expecting much but this place is straight out of a horror show. Smelled like a dead body had been in the room for months, dirt and grime everywhere, just a sheet on each bed (no bedding), and silver dollar size mold spots all over the bathroom floor. Not to mention the parking lot was sketchy, at best, and we’re from LA, so that’s saying ALOT! My cousin and I quickly agreed we would rather sleep in the car than here! The guy at front desk did refund my money. But this place needs to be shut down by health department and investigated for illicit activity by police. Please never stay there. It’s not worth your health or your life!

Filthy and disgusting! This place «looked nice» in their pics, but the sheets were saturated in the smell of smoke in a non smoking room! The pillow had stains, there were pube hairs in the bathroom, and the lamp shades were disgusting! We highly DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Bed bugs and stains on the quilts and they didn’t even care!

Hot tub broken, dirty towels, partying in the parking lot, guy screaming at girlfriend to let him, cops being called… don’t do it to yourself!!!

My boyfriend & I decided to stay here on Halloween night. It was a good deal– $ 100 for a king size bed + microwave & fridge. We didn’t have any issues with the room or service. The room itself was clean and we luckily didn’t see any bugs nor get bitten by any. Oh, and free wifi is always a plus! We didn’t stay for the breakfast which I heard is gross & unsanitary. Milpitas Inn is a good place to have small parties or crash at after one, and I’ll definitely be coming back here for a new years party as well. If you are looking for a classier place to stay in the area & willing to pay more, I recommend Embassy Suites.

Really bad experience! I got Life Threats on ⁹⁄₂₁ mid night.
Several African Americans who lived next doors to me knocked my door at around 5am. They said «room service, open the door». I was woken up and asked them to leave without opening the door. But they didn’t leave. They shouted loudly outside. They threatened to BREAK THE DOOR if I didn’t open it. And they did HIT THE DOOR heavily for many times and tried to break it! They also tried to break the window. That was definitely life threats! I am sorry to say there was none of hotel employees coming out to stop them or call the police.
I called 9−1−1. The police officer came, but the guys went back to their rooms before then. I didn’t catch their faces clearly. People can find the case record from 9−1−1.
Any hotel is supposed to provide safe and comfortable environment for clients, while Milpitas Inn didn’t. I am sure no one would stay with such an unsafe hotel like Milpitas Inn any more!

Where do I start? The easiest thing I was able to do was book this room online. This was the beginning to the weekend from hell!
I went to check in and I had called when I made reservations over a month ago, that I requested a room on the 1^st floor. They said it would be fine and they would put that in the reservation. When I checked in that was SOOO not in the reservation. The front desk let me know they had this «new» computer system in place to keep better track of reservations so anything that was made before two weeks ago is not noted. WOW,
This is a little on the sketch side but I was trying to compromise. They had me assigned to the 2^nd floor and in a corner room. HELL TO THE NO. Where there is no light and these hood rats hang out. I said I wanted a different room and he put me still 2^nd floor. I came to my room and wanted to put the air conditioning on. I came back after two hours and it was still warm. I cannot forget to tell you about the smoked out elevator with essence of weed.
The curtains with lots of holes, tears, rips and burns were getting all the A/​C. The unit was underneath the window and the curtains are hanging over the unit were retaining the air underneath. I tried to let it go.
Later I tried to close the curtains and they do onto shut all the way. When the light is on in the room you can see in very easily. I needed it to be closed so I can sleep. I called the front desk and he came up and said he was not able to help or do anything but all the rooms were the same. I again was trying to let it go.
I got safety pins to rig the drapes so the air can come out and the curtains will close.
I then noticed they did not even provide a bar of soap to wash your hands. Then they left one so called large towel which does not even wrap around my calves. There was long black horse hair on the other towels and the bathroom floor. I would later find out it was probably hooker horse hair.
The coffee packet they provided was already open and that joined a lot of other articles in the garbage that was found in the room. The closet rod was broken and all the hangers holders were on the floor, I only noticed this because I had stepped on the metal holder and cut my toe.
I has lost my room key one night and I had to call the front desk to get a replacement. It was about 12:30 and I was just coming in from a long day. I called and the non friendly, not really english speaking guy answered the phone. I mentioned that I lost my keys and he then says, «Well isn’t there someone in your room?» I said, «if someone was in there I would have knocked», he said, «why do you not have your keys?» I again said I lost them. He argued like should be ashamed of myself. I went to the window and waited. I then rang the bell and still nothing. After 10 minutes I called again and he said he would be there shortly. I continued to ring the doorbell and finally he showed up with his wife in pajamas. NICE! He scolded me again and I let him know if someone loses their keys, he should not question them, just try to help them. I started back to my room and again got in the pot infested elevator and went upstairs.
While getting ice I was able to watch two hookers return with their JON’s. Being able to view a drug transaction in the parking lot. Mind you this was a day after the 4^th of July, so I don’t know if it was fireworks or gun shots.
I was finally able to enjoy just a day to relax. I went back to the room and noticed the maid left a half of roll on the toilet paper roll and the other dispenser had the toilet paper empty carton still on there. FML,
That Sunday I wanted to watch tv and movies. I see we are privileged to get 13 channels on the flat screen tv that advertises the new DISH 300. I called from my cell phone to ask them how many channels we are supposed to get, He then stated over 30 channels. He asked why, I said I’m staying here and I’m only getting 13 channels. He asked why I didn’t say I was staying here and why didn’t I call internally? I said I didn’t want to get up and use the room phone, I’m thinking why an I being questioned? He started to yell and be very rude on the phone. He thought I was trying to get information. Then I was thinking what is wrong with a random person calling to check on how many channels. I WAS MAD!
I should have gotten the hint on what type of place this is when the Milpitas PD was parking around the corner to walk on premises.
The picture on their website are SO DECEIVING. The tv channels, to the breakfast. OMG I FORGOT THE BREAKFAST.
there is only breakfast if you are there by 7am. I saw the housekeeping bringing the boiled eggs from her car to the breakfast for the guests. WTF. The most strawberries I saw were the ones from the street and ones that were done with the JON’s. Be careful of the tub of butter with hair in it.

Eww! We booked a four bed suite and ended up in a large room with 2 queens and a sofa sleeper. The non-​smoking room smelled of smoke. One window was falling out of the frame while another window was cracked. Staff was friendly enough. I did not see anything dirty, but the older décor just was off putting. The very loud air conditioner woke everyone up several times during the night. Next time I will pay more money to stay elsewhere.
After we left all 6 of us admitted that we didn’t feel that the room was safe or clean. This was the only time my kids got out of bed and got dressed quickly.

— Décor: the bathroom had a towel Scotch-​taped to the wall as a curtain. Décor throughout was outdated but no biggie.
— Towels & bathroom: when I arrived, I had 2 very rough towels kind of folded/​kind of lumped up on a shelf in the bathroom, and a hand towel that had a long hair on it that I am 100% sure was not mine as I noticed it walking in. There were short hairs all over the sink and counter as well — maybe 5 1 – 2 inch hairs that looked like someone did a poor job of wiping the counter down and just smeared the hairs around instead.
— Bedding: let’s just say ‘well worn.’ There were spots that were threadbare. It didn’t look very clean.
— A/​C: The unit in the room had water leaking from it. It looked like the A/​C unit was propped up on pieces of plywood.
— The room: the air in the room was dank and smelled kinda bad. Not very bad, just stale and not good. I couldn’t get it cleared out.
— Breakfast: consists of waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, individually packaged mini muffins, juice, and hard boiled eggs. They say breakfast is 7:30−9, but it was mostly gone if I wasn’t able to get there before 8:15.
— Internet/​TV: no issues
— Staff: no issues, friendly enough
— Parking: kind of tight spaces, but no issues.
— Noise: somewhat noisy at night (until 11:30) and in the morning (starting at 6:30−7)

There was hair on the bathroom wall when I checked in. I called to have my room changed r at the very least, have my sheets changed; not only did he not change my room, but he told me to go get the sheets from the office myself, if I wanted them changed. The breakfast was Cheerios, waffles, a gallon of un refrigerated milk, a tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (instead of hygienic individual packs), white bread for toast, a jug of syrup and a juice dispenser. To make breakfast worse, the whole staff was eating on shift and taking up the area, not moving for customers even when done eating

I called the day before to make a reservation. That in itself was difficult due to a language barrier/​thick accent. I stressed that I needed 2 rooms. When we arrived, only 1 room was reserved. The clerk was able to find us another room although it only had 1 bed. The rooms, bed linens and towels were visibly dirty and 1 of the non-​smoking rooms reeked of smoke! The complementary breakfast was a joke. There were literally 2 mini bagels and 3 pieces of bread in the bin. That’s it! Pay ten more dollars and get a cleaner, better room! Don’t give this place your business!

I don’t remember when I first checked-​in this hotel but so far my every stay has been very pleasing! To keep in mind if you want to stay on a weekday and you’re trying to book over the phone, I suggest to do it as early as noon time because it can get packed later in the day!
I probably check-​in at least twice a week and every room I’ve stayed in is exceptional! Their rooms are odor-​free, their beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and good thing they have a mini fridge and a microwave to go along with it.
I’ve always felt safe in the area and there’s a KFC right across the street when you get hungry. There’s also a liquor store pretty close-​by on the left that’s just walking distance if you need cigarettes or drinks and on the right is a gas station.
My only advice is give it a try!

I stay here when work runs late. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I like the location being on a side street but fairly central to Milpitas with easy access to freeways, groceries, conveniences, and restaurants. Parking is usually tight but I feel safer leaving my car here then at other hotels I’ve been at.

I have staid here before no problems. Tonight I call the number on the glass 3 times no answer. I ring the night bell twice no answer. So I am tiered as it is I knock on the door the guy comes out and gets upset at me. Really dude maybe you should answer your phone/​doorbell. Last time I will ever stay here! Two stars only because its nice and the first time I staid there were no problems. Won’t be coming back.

Great deal! The cheapest hotel in the area, but with great service. Close vicinity to major highways and shopping malls. Room was well-​maintained and clean. The owners were very helpful and accommodating; they gave us a FREE night. We highly recommend Milpitas Inn.

I stayed at Milpitas Inn as a spur of the moment trip. The visit met my expectations and exceeded them. The room was large for its cost and clean. The location is very quiet, I slept like a baby. The people working the front came immediately after I rang the bell, they were very relaxed with everything and put me at ease.
I read the other reviews before going there, I expected it to be bad, but it was very good. I talked to front desk as I was checking out and he said that they are under new management. Really give these guys a chance, they’re great for it’s cost.

I asked for a first floor room if possible, I had 2 service dogs with me which I called ahead about when I made the reservation. When I told them that it was not a must, they insisted on giving me the handicapped room. When I checked in I did not have time to check out the room and arrived back late at night. The shower curtain had black mold growing on it, the paintin the bathroom was peeling in large patches and the shower nozzle was broken and sprayed out all over the floor when I tried to shower. The carpet was filthy and I wasn’t about to walk on it barefoot, the remote for the TV didn’t work. I was not about to change rooms so late at night and I think they were counting on that when I booked the room because I mentioned I was going to a concert at Shoreline Ampitheatre which ended quite late at night.
The breakfast was equally as disgusting. A big tub of margarine was supposed to be used by all guests including unsupervised children. Unrefrigerated milk for cereal which included cocoa puffs and frosted flakes that were almost gone when I arrived for breakfast. The coffee caraffe was also almost empty. Powdered creamer was provided. Other guests were rude, there was a man who insisted on making himself 2 waffles while a line of guests waited to use the waffle machine, another man spoke loudly into his cell phone in Hindi the entire time making it impossible to concentrate on the morning paper. Pure torture.
Also, there are no good restaurants around unless you like Kentucky Fried Chicken or Lee’s Sandwiches where flies outnumber the customers.
