SCAMMERS! FALSEADVERTISERS!!! NON-PROFESSIONAL!!! On August 6, 2012, I called Carpet Cleaning Milpitas as I was interested in getting my sofa, chair and ottoman cleaned. When the person answered, she did not clearly or at all identify the company name or herself, she just said«hello». I had to confirm that I was speaking with Carpet Cleaning Milpitas and at the end of the call confirmed her name, which was Rachel. I asked her if she could possibly give me a quote for upholstery cleaning for a sofa, chair and ottoman. She quoted sofa $ 69.00, chair $ 29.00, and ottoman $ 19.00, grand total $ 117.00. I mentioned the coupons that they advertised online and if I would be able to use the«15% off Upholstery Cleaning», she said that it was already included in the price. I asked if I can use the«Free Scotch Guard for Upholstery» coupon then and she said«yes». During this conversation, not once, did she ever specify what method of cleaning is used: steam or shampoo, which is unbeknownst to me that there were 2 different methods and which one is most efficient. They are the experts right and they should disclose all methods, right??? Once I received the total quote, I decided to book an appointment, which she said the next availability for that day, August 6th, was between 4pm — 5pm and a technician would call me 30 minutes prior to his arrival, which he did. The technician arrived around 5pm, looked at the sofa, chair and ottoman, suggested shampoo cleaning due to pet odors, etc., for $ 199. I asked if I would still get the 15% off and he said no because that’s only for steam clean, which it is not stated on the coupon at all for a specified type of cleaning, but he could give me 10% on a carpet cleaning the next time. Because I didn’t recall what exactly the coupon said at the time, and Rachel said I didn’t need to print it out(now I know why), I just had the technician clean my furniture. Yes, I should have confirmed everything and go find the coupon and yes, I should have just rescheduled, but the technician was there and I needed to get the upholstery cleaned. The next day, after I decided to look at the coupon again, I realized that there was no specification on the type of cleaning and requested I get the 15% off. Rachel went on to continuously say that the 15% off was already on the price. I told her that her technician re-quoted for $ 199.00 because he suggested the shampoo cleaning for the pet odors. Again, she kept saying over and over that the 15% was included. Again, I had to correct her and say«No, I was told that it didn’t apply.» Rachel said she needed to investigate and would call me back and I never received a call back. August 8th, I call back and spoke to Alex, the apparent supervisor, who went around and around and kept saying the discount was included and avoiding honoring the 15% off. To even try and justify that the discount was included, he stated that the steam cleaning without discount is $ 129.00 and shampoo cleaning without discount is $ 229.00. Funny how he started pulling prices out of the air as the conversation progressed. He further went on to say that the discount was taken from the steam part of the process and the shampoo part of the process was the difference. WTH!!! So unclear!!! Who does business like that??? In a sense, I take part blame for deciding to use them and basically got what I paid for and scammed since I was in a rush to get it done. LESSONLEARNED!!! BUT, you would think as good business practice, they would honor the coupons they advertise on their site, learn to compromise to make a customer happy, because the CUSTOMER is the one that will keep you in business in the end with repeat business and referrals especially if they are trying to compete with other big named and reputable companies. So, for the next person who considers this company, PLEASETHINKTWICEANDDON’T GETSCAMMED!!! FYI — Found out they go by the following names: * All For You Carpet Cleaning(Which is the name that shows on your credit card bill.) **Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning(866−334−5920)(Which is the name that is on the invoice.) Both names, no where on their website, let alone a physical address. I recently tried to call and get their physical address and the receptionist, who answered by saying, «Can I help you?» hands over the phone to another individual who was completely adamant about providing the address and started interrogating me. What LEGIT business does that??? The Better Business Bureau could not even find their address, but thanks to Yahoo Local directory, I was able to find it.
