Dixon Landing Park

This park is pretty nice. Feels clean, well kept, nice grass (hopefully they use recycled water during our drought). AND they have bathrooms that aren’t just a stinky port-​o-​potty.
I counted 3 baseball fields that are well maintained. One of them for sure is enclosed so as long as you clean up after your dog and nobody else is using the field seems it’s okay to use.
Long sidewalks for street parking. Close to 680 freeway and obviously Dixon Landing Rd thus the name of the park.

I’m giving this park more than 1 star because it has a lot of amenities: baseball fields, BBQ grills, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball poles (bring your own net) and a playground for the kids. It also has ample parking.
Unfortunately, there are two things going against it which drop the rating significantly:
1) Proximity to the landfill. On a hot day, this is not the place to be as it stinks Ugh.
2) Poor drainage. Even though it hadn’t rained for days, the ground was wet/​muddy when we went for a picnic. The water seemed to have been from the sprinkler system and it was especially muddy in the shaded areas.
If the weather is moderate, then this is an ok place to hangout or play some tennis/​basketball. If you do have a picnic, watch for the muddy areas especially where there’s shade.

Dixon Landing Park is very much underrated, probably due to it’s location (borderline of Fremont and Milpitas) and small size. The park is definitely smaller than other parks I have been to, but it’s kind of a good thing since it’s not a far walk from the barbecue area to the courts. Despite the small size, the park has a baseball field, in addition to a couple of tennis courts and a basketball court. It also has a cute children’s playground area and swings with sand underneath. The park is also incredibly clean and well maintained. Parking is plentiful too, which makes this park perfect overall!

Being an avid tennis player Milpitas is an awesome place to live. There are so many good courts here. Unfortunately the ones at this park are not one of them. First of all they only have three courts. Instead of being positioned parallel to each other the three are slanted.

In addition given how they are positioned you have a lot less maneuvering room. We got stuck in the middle court which had a huge crack running through one side and very close to the service line which naturally made serving somewhat of a challenge. The courts only redeeming qualities were that it had lights and the vegetation and trees surrounding it, especially this time year, was breathtaking. Aesthetics aside though, your better of playing somewhere else.

I had no idea Dixon Landing Park existed until attending my 9yr old’s soccer game in the beginning of the season.
It’s a REALLY nice park in what looks to be a quiet neighborhood. There’s a nice size playground, basketball courts, tennis and I think baseball diamond. There’s also a bathroom which is always a plus at any park esp when you’re with children :)

Great park for softball. 200 feet fences for make it a challenge to get homeruns while decently maintained grass make for predictable hops on grounders. So far my church has played here 4 – 5 times and no one has been hit in the face by a bad hop — you can’t say that about many fields.
One of the annoying things about one of the fields is that you have to jump the fence in order to play. Fortunately if you just want to watch there are easily accessible bleachers, but if you want to play, you have to jump a small fence. Now if you can’t safely make it over the fence, maybe you shouldn’t be playing softball in the first place, but still, it’d be nice if that little annoyance was not there.

This is a nice clean park. Full court basketball, 3 Tennis courts, 2 baseball fields. Lots of grass. The only problem is that you can smell the Newbie Island garbage dump just a few miles away. Everything is all dandy and when that gust of wind blows during my first serve all you smell is crap. I’m trying to get use to the «Milpitas» smell i don’t think it’s going to happen. I wonder if i can Unilocal the city of Milpitas and write a review?

This is actually a very nice place to have a casual BBQ/​picnic. It’s a small park, due to the sporting areas in the park (Basketball, tennis and baseball)
I do believe they have someone to upkeep the grass and whatnot because it’s always green and tidy.
It’s also not that popular so you can always find a spot there.

This is where Mr. Fun meets Ms. Sun and end up with babies named «fun in the sun!». Cheesy I know, but lets just say this park is THE place to go if you want to have a good time with friends or family.
This is definitely a smaller park, but the great thing about this is that it isn’t that crowded. You can reserve tables or just bring your own tables and claim a spot somewhere along the huge grassy area. This place is dog friendly and best part of all, alcohol friendly. Pets and alcohol? Guaranteed good time.
They are fully equipped to satisfy all your sporting needs: a basketball court, tennis court, 3 huge baseball diamonds, volleyball poles, and a playground for the young ones (and the young at heart).
The picnic benches are grouped together in one area next to the playground so I do advise drinkers and party-​goers to respect the area especially if there are kids or older folks around. It is never too big of an issue because in most cases everyone is chill and relaxed.
Do clean up after yourself! There are trash bins everywhere so theres no excuses. There are some really kind older ladies who come around waiting for your cans and bottles, so if you would like to help them out, keep it separate so they don’t have to rummage through the bins.

This is a great place to have a bbq!
I’ve been here almost every year ever since it was built just to hang out or have a bbq.
There are tennis courts and softball fields as well as space to do a game of futbol (aka soccer). There are restrooms available and plenty of parking.

This is a pretty park. There are four softball fields and a little playground. I don’t like that the infield of each field is grass but it does the job. I definitely would bring my dog here or just come to play catch.

Wow im surprised no one has added Dixon landing park on Unilocal yet. Its a great hidden park. Its pretty big and has tons of things to do. What i really like about it its very close to my house and its a clean park. No annoying people hanging around like in most parks. I usually do my cardio and run at this park. When your running the views of the hills surrounding milpitas are gorgeous.
