I would give a negative 10 if there was one.
The contact is inresponsive, unfriendly, and unprofessional. Trying to close the property, DR Horton’s people are so lay back… it’s like not their business. Like on vacations all the time… keep rescheduling the walkthrough at the LAST minute. If you need the city approval, go pursue it… doesn’t matter who you talk to, the city or the construction company. This shouldn’t be the buyers job.
If you want people’s business, be polite and have manners. Not like the gangster style, «if you want this property, decide in 2 days, we don’t care about you.»
Go for other construction companies… I don’t really understand how they can be rated as Americas top home builders.

If you are looking to buy a property go with your relator because your relator will get a 10k credit if you purchase the condo/​town home. If you go alone, they will make you sign the paper and will not tell you anything about the commission.
D.R horton has some old people who give no relevant information. They have no customer service skills. They are a bunch of unprofessionals. Oh when it comes to communication, they have no idea what that is.
If you purchase a condo/​townhome with them, they will give you a delivery date — but guess what … it won’t be ready and you will wait for at least 2 – 3 extra months.
And they won’t communicate much with you about it.
I think its a waste to go through this property buyer. They are idiots. Please stay away from this DR Horton. But if you want to buy a property. Ask them to give everything in return or else you will be sorry.
