Love An Jan. The staff always goes out of their way with everything.

Came in for the VIP pet services clinic that’s only open on Sunday! Loved how technologically advanced they are and how fast and seamless everything was done. Came here to get our new puppies stool test done for $ 25 which is half the price our vet charges. Results came a day earlier then what they said. All in all great service!

I’ve been using this place for over two years now and love it. Their inventory selection and prices are great. The service has always been very helpful as well. I highly recommend this place. If you’re thinking about going to Petsmart or wherever, I really hope you reconsider and use AJ.

An-​Jan is the only local spot I have found to have my pup’s food, Orijen. Note, that not all locations have it. They sell it at a very competitive price as well.
The people here are nice and will help me carry the heavy bag of food to my car even though it’s a little walk to the lot since you have to walk around the building.
I only come here for food and the occasional treat so I can’t speak about their toy or gear selection.

About half the time they are out of hen laying pellets. The truck is always coming later in the afternoon yet when I call right before closing, it hasn’t arrived yet. Every single time. They really shouldn’t bother saying anything about when they may have more.

I stopped by to buy some birds supplies in the afternoon and was told they were ordered yesterday and will be here after 5PM today. I came back purposely to pick up the said have been delivered item at around 6PM and was told the item was back ordered by the warehouse thus unavailable currently. This newest information was obtained by checking on the order log via their pc. This same procedures should have been performed the very first time so accurate information and good customer services provided instead!

Love this place and the people. They are very knowledgeable and carry alot of brands of dog food. We’ve been looking for Orijen and Acana dog food but they don’t carry it at Petsmart, Petco nor pet food express. They had it here and the price was cheaper than online.

For one of the smaller AnJan stores it has a good selection, great prices and great staff. Finally, they changed their old wood open by-​the-​pound food bins to the covered plastic ones. I’ll keep going here for my pet’s needs.

It’s a tiny warehouse style store with BARELY any horse stuff.
Guess if you are shopping for other critters, it may meet your needs. I went to check out their stock in horse stuff.
I found a shelf or two. Barely stocked.
But to those who claim this store has it all… you don’t get out much do you? lol. Seriously, go to Western Saddlery in Pleasanton. THEY have pretty much most of what you need. Like hitting 99%
An-Jan’s? Not to much.
The customer service is nice. Not as professional as other places. Okay, really, it’s a little «ghetto» compared to other feed stores that have more of a «I know exactly what I’m doing all the time and I do my work well because I’m a professional» style of doing business.
I guess if I need a bag of alfalfa pellets (that the horses weren’t that crazy about), I’d go here. But really, I get my stuff elsewhere, that way I know I can really SHOP.
It’s so out of the way, that I don’t find myself wanting to bother going out of the way because there’s nothing here that calls to me. If you’re in the neighborhood then check it out for yourself so you can see the hype is just hype.

Wonderful people working here, always very knowledgeable and loving toward my pups. Just a week ago my sister found some baby birds she wanted me to take care of, so I went and bought some formula after asking the manager there what I should do. She was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately my sisters cat got to the baby birds before I did. I ended up having to return the unopened bottle of formula, and it was hassel free. I have always liked smaller businesses and always will. Also they have some amazing artwork covering their building. I will be going back as soon as I need something. I absolutely love this place.

I have been going to An Jan for at least 20 years! I used to own horses and An Jan had the best deals for horse gear, grain, and other equine needs. There are not a lot of local places you can buy things for horses and An Jan has it all.
Besides horse stuff, An Jan has everything and anything a pet store should offer! puppy show, catnip, chinchilla shavings, gold fish food, you name it, An Jan has it!
The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! I will continue to come here to support the business =)

I stopped here for cat food today. I liked the murals on the walls of the animals. Service was friendly and good.

Love this place… and so does my puppy! I like the products and people and the prices are good. I love supporting a family owned business and they do not make it more expensive for me to do that =)

Absolutely love this place, have all the hard to find pet food. And whole sale feeds. Friendly staff. Guadalupe is a joy to be around! The reason I knocking down a star is because they recently hired new staff and they have missed charged me and my mom countless times and don’t know much about pet nutrition. It was very upsetting when my mom overheard one of the staff members taking about needing a alcoholic drink at 11am.

Poor customer service. I stood at the register with a bag of dog food while the employees goofed off. Finally who I think was the Manager asked me if I needed any help. I said yes, I wanted to buy the dog food I was holding at the register. In addition, the price of the bag I was buying was labeled wrong and she refused to honor the miss marked price (about $ 5 less). The product sold at the store is great for sure, but if possible, Go to the one in Santa Clara if you can.

I usually go to the location on Branham but this location is way closer to where I live. Stopped by to get dog food but they ended up not having the one my dog usually eats (Fromm Four Stars line) in stock which IS readily available at the Branham location.
The store itself is separated into three rooms. Their stock is VERY limited compared to the Branham location. I would say the shelves are almost barren especially in terms of dry dog food selection — only about 5 – 6 brand options when I went. Also within the brands, their selection can be limited. i.e. for Wellness they only had about 3 kinds and no Core, but Taste of the Wild they had the full line.
They are able to special order any dog food you need but I would prefer being able to just go to the store and get what I need without needing to call ahead to special order or see if they have it in stock. Also, sometimes other locations have specials such as ‘buy 25 lb bag, get 10lb bag free’ for certain brands which you would not be able to get if you special order (or at least I don’t think so unless you knew about the special before ordering).
Service is so-​so, same as other locations. Generally I don’t get a hello upon entering and don’t get asked if I need help, but they are friendly once you get to the register and are ready to pay.
Prices are very reasonable and lower than the chain stores. In general, I will always come to An-​Jan to get dog food, but most likely will be going to Branham or other locations. Sometimes you just like to look at different options y’know!
The VIP mobile vaccination clinic is also here which I’ve gone to. Handy since this place has its own parking lot!

I usually come here instead of persmart because it’s close to my house and they have what I need for my frenchie. I love getting the little treats, it’s so cool and looks pretty darn tasty (that’s what my doggy told me) =) I always find what I need here, plus the employees are very friendly and helpful.

I went here while they were hosting VIP weekend clinic to get my puppy his second set of shots and microchip. I got the puppy pack 2. The transaction and processes was super fast. I didn’t really have to wait.
As for the store. Customer service was good and they have such a wide range of toys for dogs. We got him one after his shots as a reward. It was a 6 dollar tiny pink elephant. It’s not a huge place but it has all the essentials. The price is in the average range. I would go here again for the toys and treats. I also like the fact that they sell single rolls of poop bags. Very convenient!

We walked in with our little puppy Teemo! First store we took her into to get her new supplies. The staff were super friendly, inviting and helpful. :) We were shopping while we waited for the vet to arrive for her 2^nd round of vaccinations. It was a wonderful first experience in this smaller supply store. I love the intimate & friendly service and environment we were greeted with. Thanks An-​Jan Feed & Pet Supply team!

Ok I would come here from time to time whenever I couldn’t find what I need at petsmart.
Well yesterday I had the best experience even though I had not went in myself. I was helping my boyfriend in finding white proso millet seeds for his uryomastyxs (i believe i spelled that wrong but anyhow,) i had called in and a gentleman had picked up the phone and i do apologize i cant remember his name. I had asked if they had any millet seeds in stock, the gentleman had explain to me that they had different kinds from red to white sold in pounds and spray millet seeds also sold by pounds. I was delighted to hear that they had some in stock, that I told him I’ll be sending my boyfriend in to pick up a bag because he really needs it.
My boyfriend had told me yesterday evening when he had arrived at an-​jan that the gentleman had saved two white millet seed bags for me. I was delighted and happy that he went out of his way to put aside not just one but two. Now thats an awesome customer service!
