We were having hardwood floors put in several years ago. The guys doing the job got to our back living room. When they pulled up the carpeting, they discovered the floor was wet. They notified me. They were hesitant to put down the floor until the cause of the dampness was addressed.
At the same time we were having our windows replaced by Plowman’s. Not knowing who to call about the water, I called Plowman’s. They were very good about calling Oliver. They left a job to come over and consult with me immediately.
Once they diagnosed the problem, they were able to show me exactly what was going on (poor design by the original builder. .. not surprised as the guy who built the house took every shortcut there was). They came up with a plan to raise the roof level and slope of the garage and install a gutter so water would not run down this wall. It took two days and they did it beginning that day.
Sure, it was expensive. But what service! My only knock is that a nail hole pushed through the wall. They agreed to come back to fix that. They never did. It was six years later when we were having over work done that we dealt with that.
