We have ordered from here several times and the food is typically very good. We ordered a happy family tonight(10⁄24) and there was a piece of bad lobster in it. My wife placed a courtesy call to let them know that they should check the remainder of their lobster so that another customer would not be in the same situation and the response that she received was very rude. We will be taking our business elsewhere. 10⁄25 Update — Received a nice call back from management saying they had a meeting with the staff addressed the issues.

This is not 3.5 star restaurant. We were so thrilled and excited watching Fu Feng Yuan being built and anticipating having a convenient source for good Chinese food nearby. Then we tasted the food… have eaten there 4 or 5x and it has not gotten better. Egg rolls are flavorless. taste as though they are all cabbage. Have tried numerous dishes. The food almost tastes as though it all comes from a can or uses low quality ingredients in bland sauces. It is inferior to the 2 other restaurants in the vicinity. Very disappointing. Most edible dish is Kung pao chicken. Hope chef learns some new recipes/techniques soon. We want it to improve and succeeding we are willing to pay higher prices for better food quality.

WOW! This place is a little gem! I received an ad in the mail at work. Since I love Chinese food and not a fan of the other Chinese place I found in the area, I thought. «Sweet. Let’s see what these guys can do!» Online ordering: Their website was cute, smooth, and perfectly easy. I ordered cashew chicken. a less typical dish. Perfectly done– everything cooked at the exact consistency it should be. not too hard, not too mushy– and with the right taste. Boneless spare ribs. Same thing. Beautiful! And good quality meat, too! I also really liked the fried rice because its not too oily. It feels healthy while still being tasteful. The location is kind of small and random, but the quality of food and service is excellent, so who cares?

I have been here on a number of occasions as I work in the area. Always decent. They have great lunch deals– get a lunch sized meal(which is always HUGE) and a drink for like $ 7 – 8. I have only ever ordered the Chicken and Broccoli and it tastes similar to my favorite place closer to home. My co workers have ordered the veggies & broccoli(always a hit), the wonton soup(always a hit), and also tofu dishes and everyone always enjoys it. I would definitely recommend to check out this place if you are in the area and looking for Chinese food. They only have 2 small tables so this is definitely a place to just grab food and eat somewhere else!

This place had fantastic takeout Chinese food. I have spent my last 6 years split between living in San Francisco and Tokyo, and as such, have gotten very spoiled with my asian food. I was very surprised when I was home visiting my parents for the holidays to find this level of Chinese food in suburban NJ. Of course, the style is much more Americanized than traditional Chinese, but it was truly delicious. My favorite dish of the night was the Szechuan Beef, and even though we ordered a ton of food, it was ready within 20 mins. Very happy with this place, can’t wait to eat the leftovers!

We have struggled to find decent Chinese food in the area, but this place is really good! We had the General Tsos chicken and veggie lo mein and both were fresh and yummy. I hope this wasn’t a fluke because we can’t wait to go back. Please support this place so it stays around!

The take out experience for Chinese Food should be a lot easier than this. The order takers do not speak english well. When ordering, I had to go over the order 4 times before they got it right. His accent was so strong, I finally gave up and hoped he got it right. When I went to pick it up, he went over what was ordered in rapid pace, and I told him I didn’t understand what he just said. It was worse in person than over the phone! He just shrugged his shoulders, and asked for my credit card. He could not have cared at all. They only messed up the one side, so I can live with that, but it wasn’t great. The place around the corner in the Lyons mall is much better. Hint: This place does not serve pints, only quarts. That is a lot for one person, so 2 people have to eat the same thing. So, expect it to be expensive. Also, the egg drop soup is VERY thick and extremely salty. The thickener they use is WAY over done. It came out in goops, and didn’t taste good at all!

I don’t know what it is about this part of the state, but I feel like it really lacks good Chinese food. By no means was Fu Feng Yuan bad, it just wasn’t that great. My wife and I hadn’t gotten Chinese food in a while and we noticed this place had recently opened up, so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered a General Tso’s and Chicken with Broccoli combination platter and a won ton soup. Both dinners were just OK. I wasn’t big on the pork fried rice that came with it, either. I did like the won ton soup — I liked that it had a darker broth, but then it didn’t come with any of the beef strips that usually comes with won ton soup. Oh well. Fu Feng Yuan wasn’t bad, but I think we are still in search of our go to Chinese food place.

Tried this place based on the earlier reviews and feel a bit misled; I think Sara M. was bit too harsh while the praise in the other two reviews was undeserved. I’ve tried General Tso’s from dozens of restaurants across NJ, PA, and elsewhere. The General Tso’s sauce here was good — not the best ever but quite tasty. The fried rice was also pretty good, especially mixed with the General Tso’s sauce. The chicken itself was not good at all and is the reason I won’t be eating here again. The chicken was overcooked and did not seem at all fresh. Other local Chinese restaurants in similar price ranges may not have as tasty of a sauce, but the overall meal is superior elsewhere.

Even nasty mall Chinese food is better than this. The fried rice is not fried, the chicken in every dish is tough and dry, the General Tso chicken is not even remotely close to General Tso chicken, and the prices here are way too high. The only thing we’ve found to be decent here is the hot and sour soup. How is it even possible to serve stale crispy noodles when you’ve been open less than a week? We gave them 2 chances to impress, and the food was so bad we’ll never go back.

Amazing restaurant, great food. My wife and I had a great dinner here the other night. The place is very clean, the owner is so nice and the service was quick too. Their General tso’s chicken was the best among all Chinese restaurant I been to. Definitely recommitting this place to my friends!!!
