Millburn Veterinary Hospital & Laser Surgery Center

Having just moved to NJ and finding out our 11-​year-​old pug had bladder stones, we interviewed 4 vet surgeons to perform the surgery. Dr. DeSpirito was far and away the kindest, most competent vet we found. She said all the right things, explaining the 2 kinds of stones, our options for treatment, expressed real concern and care and spoke to us with respect while keeping things understandable. After the surgery it was a little scary because of all the blood and our pup got worse before he got better. I must have called Millburn 5 times and every time the staff and doctors were patient and helpful. They didn’t think I was crazy or overly worried. All in all, I’d say the entire staff here are absolutely wonderful. We drive 25 minutes to take our pups here and it is absolutely worth it for the level of care.

We have been taking our «senior» Bassett hound here after 9 happy years out at Countryside in Flemington. Sadly, Millburn Vets has gone drastically downhill since 2014. Lots of doctor changes have left this place devoid of warmth and TLC. We are typically made to wait 20 – 45 mins, charged ludicrous sums for basic tests, and NEVER given more than five minutes with Dr. Araceli. She has put our dog on five different antibiotics since November, and while I understand that she cannot manage our dog’s UTIs, I do expect some level of professional guidance/​insight. All we’ve gotten is «come back for another test in four weeks.» Mind you, the vet we saw before dr. Araceli — back in November of 2014 — offered far more thorough AND thoughtful advice for the same issue in the same dog. I am leaving this practice for their lack of care and courtesy. Would not recommend at all… which is too bad because they were really impressive just two years ago.

Update: This vet is still wonderful. I had to take my cat in for a scratched cornea a few months ago and the vet met with was so gentle, thorough and informative. The place is always clean and the front desk staff is friendly. It’s on the pricier side but so worth the great care and service!

Millburn Vet is a truly excellent establishment. Despite the fact that we live about 45 minutes away, we choose to bring our pets to Millburn because of the quality of care, compassionate caring from the veterinarians and tech staff, thoroughness in diagnoses and treatment and extremely clean facilities. Obviously there are a couple of down-​sides to going all the way — in emergency or urgent situations it’s sometimes necessary to utilize a local emergency clinic (no fault of Millburns) but they are also rather a pricey facility. Now, when it comes to my pets, the extra money in traveling and paying for services is pretty much inconsequential. They deserve the best and that’s what they get at Millburn.
Dr. Glauberg is fantastic, knowledgeable and extremely attentive to the needs of both animals and their human counterparts.
The only thing I really dislike about this establishment is that 2 particular receptionists are extremely rude and one is downright nasty to me. Despite complaints about this, Marilyn refuses to modify her behavior. April is a wonderful, kind, friendly receptionist. Deal with her if at all possible.
Also, my family is VERY disappointed that Dr. Sepulveda has left the practice.

I bring my cat here. It’s a small place which I like. The staff and doctors are friendly and know what they are talking about. The prices are pretty average, and they accept CareCredit which is fantastic for those «oh my god how can I afford this» moments.

I took my dog here because he had an ear infection. Dr. Aracelli was great. She examined him carefully and was very thorough. This was his first time with this kind of ailment so of course I had a zillion questions. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I understood everything before I left. The front desk staff was warm and friendly. I’d definitely recommend this office.

The staff at Millburn Veterinary are helpful, courteous, and great with my pet. I called the day after a blizzard because my kitten was sick and they were able to get me in that day, even though I was a first time visitor. After seeing Dr. Glauberg, I’m not going anywhere else. He’s very experienced and insightful. Not only that, but for my visit they not only saw my kitten, but they took out her stiches from her previous surgery and trimmed her nails for no extra charge. Lovely people and professional, you also move in and out of that office quickly. Thanks!
