History
Established in 1986.
I’m David Freeman. I’ve been providing landscape architectural services in the Tri-state area for more than 25 years. Through a fair, practical approach I’ve sought to develop long term relationships with my loyal customer-base and crews. Once myself and a helper, we have grown over the years to serve every corner of the communities we work in, up and down the socio-economic ladder. As members in the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association and The Association of professional Landscape Designers, we have sought, throughout the years, to give back to the communities in which we work, seeking to be a part of something larger than ourselves.
We grew to believe that each client deserves our full attention, on jobs large or small.
Today, DC Freeman LLC serves most communities in Northern New Jersey and New York City areas, with a concentration in Bergen and Essex counties and Manhattan. With two locations to serve you, in Leonia and Millburn, New Jersey We’re never too far away.
Meet the Business Owner
David F.
Business Owner
Today I run a successful company, write articles for Gardening magazines and take part in professional organizations to better the face of the industry I love. But this began long ago.
Learning at the feet of my Dad, an Appellate Court Judge, for whom ethics and gardening held the same importance, I was immediately hooked. Mom took us to museums, and ALWAYS the twain shall meet. I knew early on what my goal was; to excel as a Landscape Design/Build Contractor.
Through years of working for other mentors, a voracious reading habit, then vigorous study at Rutgers and Cornell, I sought to prepare myself to excel at the job I love. Building outdoor living spaces for people.
Plants and people, both require listening and nurturing to thrive. I seek to feed my base of knowledge on a daily basis. If «I’m the smartest guy in the room»? I go look for another room.
Tired of unreturned calls, failed promises? Call me! This is not «just a job» for me. This is my life. So are my clients.
