Description

Specialties

At Millbrook Trail rides we offer a variety of phenomenal services that fulfill any western riding experience you seek. First timers are welcome! We provide people of all ages the opportunity to interact with horses and enjoy a customized horseback riding adventure. We provide a scenic and memorable trail riding journey through the country side and neighboring forest preserves where the wildlife is plentiful.

Our most frequent request is for Traditional Trail Rides, giving our riders either an hour or two hours of trail time. We have Specialty Rides as well for those desiring a Western experience beyond Traditional Trail Rides. These Specialty Rides include our Sunset Ride which includes an evening trail ride through the forest, followed a ridge-side bonfire overlooking the beautiful sunset. Our Picnic Ride involves a midday ride through the woods to a relaxing meadow overlooking the Hollenback Creek, and includes the traditional blanket picnic experience.

History

Established in 2010.

In 2010, Ed Sleezer began offering trail rides to friends, and occasionally other folks. As word spread about the trail riding, more and more people began calling asking to ride, and Millbrook Trail Rides was born. From 2011 and 2012, MTR existed on a fairly low-key scale, as Ed farms full time. In 2013, Ed’s daughter Meredith Sleezer took over management of MTR and it’s been growing ever since.
