History

Established in 2010.

SereniTea House is the San Francisco Bay Area’s newest Tea House. While Shar and Jenn — the mother-daughter team and owners of Super Suppers Millbrae (open since 2007) — enjoyed helping busy people get healthy food on the table, they really wanted to bring even more to the community they cared for so much.

Combining their love for creating delicious treats, and their desire to build a welcoming, serene place, they formed the SereniTea House — where people can come to celebrate with friends, indulge and treat themselves, or simply slow down and smell the tea.

Sharlene Ying C.

Business Owner

Ying is one of the owners, and the master chef of SereniTea House — all the house-made scones, mini savories, tea sandwiches and petite sweets are her creations — and she enjoys whipping up new delights whenever the feeling hits. A mother of three, Ying has had a lot of experience cooking and baking for a crowd — as her kids were growing up, she was known to make specialty birthday cakes just for them, long before it was a popular trend. Her creativity and special touches make each of SereniTea House’s offerings a treat.
