More like 3.5 stars. Prime location in the Millbrae area. It’s located a few doors down from Trader Joe’s and across from the huge Safeway. The pastries are good like in most PBs, but the iced salted caramel mocha is amazing. Not too sweet, but not too salty either. Just a perfect blend of both worlds. It has a smooth taste. A few must haves: –Iced Salted Caramel Mocha –Raspberry Cream Cheese Filled Pastry –Sweet Cream Cheese Rice Donut –Royal Pudding Service is lacking. No one greets you when you come in and I almost bumped into one of the employees and not a word from him. When I got my iced coffee, I noticed that I got a small one even though I ordered a medium size. Apparently, whoever rang me up defaulted to a small coffee even though that’s not what I asked for. He obviously doesn’t know the coffee freak that I am.

I go to the Paris Baguette in Millbrae almost every day, great pastries, food and coffees and always very professional and customer-focused staff. The one star rating is for my interaction today with one employee named MAI. I asked a simple question to MAI as to whether the baguette she brought from the back kitchen was baked today since it was not in display. She was very rude, condescending and appeared to be quite annoyed by my question. Her«yes» reply sounded more like«what a stupid question… Yeah, Duh!!!». The worse part is when I expressed my dissatisfaction, she kept arguing with me loudly and then laughed at the situation with other employees behind the cashier. Rude and disrespectful people like MAI should not be allowed to interact with customers. It is unfortunate that for a small business like this one, one employee can ruin an excellence reputation. Having say that, I will go back and give that place another chance.

Loved this place! The breakfast croissant ham cheese egg avo tomato sandwich with fresh fruits were the best I’ve ever had! Quality creative pastries and more. A must try!!!

Stopped by here for a quick late lunch(I have to emphasize, it’s a LATE lunch), no line, no crowd, open table in a spacious space. I especially like the big floor to ceiling doors/windows, making the place very bright and open. I had a ham, egg and cheese croissant. It comes with a a half avocado, a couple tomato slices and a few pieces of fresh fruit. The croissant was fresh, hot and fluffy. A simple and delicious quick bite. For $ 7.50, it’s not a bad deal. I saw a few comments about the weak wifi — it’s true. Considered it’s after lunch hour and there are less than 10 people in the store(and some of them are not using any electronic devices), the wifi is really a joke. But hey, may be that’s how they try to tell us to enjoy the delicious food in front of us instead of the electronic world.

I’ve been ordering from this Paris baguette for 6 months now, every Friday. And I usually get $ 30 worth of bakeries, if not more. My co-workers usually like to share, so I usually have them cut in halves. Well over the past six months, they would cut them for me(but each time they would say«oh you’re that guy who wants it cut in halves.» At first it was okay, but they would say that every time I ask. I’m spending $ 30 on bakeries that are well over priced and to be honest, I just want them to be cut in halves so I don’t have to do it at work. Well, today, the manager told me that they don’t cut in halves. Also, when I asked for a scissors to cut them in half, they told me to use the plastic knives on the side. A plastic knife to cut all 15 pastries. I understand if it were a busy day, but there was only one other person in line. And maybe 3 – 4 people in the store. Why can’t the pastries be cut in halves? What I want to know is if they truly don’t cut their pastries in halves? I know it’s silly but I don’t see what the big deal is. It usually takes less than 2 – 3 minutes… –_–

Wow, some of the reviews were pretty intense. Profanity was used in some and others bash on employees. Yo, Unilocal!you should take some on those down. Anyhow, this review is specifically for Maria, the cashier, bus girl, customer service extraordinaire. She was so friendly and totally on top of things. Thank you Maria. I will be a life long patron of your bakery because you are such a rock star. Is she isn’t already the manager, please someone Promote this woman asap!

Got a chicken pesto grilled sandwich and they forgot the sun dried tomatoes. When I let they know the mistake, instead of saying sorry and making me a new sandwich or refunding my money they assured me they put them in and when I offered them to look at my sandwich they brushed me off and handed me a cold cup of sun dried tomatoes. I will never return the food was good but customers service was SHIT.

Been here multiple times in the past few months. The wifi NEVER works. I’ve asked the staffs to reset or fix it and everytime they will tell you that it’s working BEFORE you buy. Customer service is horrible at this spot compared to the South San Francisco spot. The only reason why this place gets 2 stars is because it is always clean and have pretty decent coffee and food. If you’re coming here for a quick bite/coffee, then this isn’t that bad, but anything else you might want to go to the Starbucks down the block.

I’ve been to almost every PB in the Bay. This PB is by far the most specious with plenty of seating. The pastries are always good. Some locations have more variety than others. I’m a fan of the strawberry pudding. They only had two flavors which were vanilla and strawberry. Now they added 2 more flavors: Cappuccino, and Mango Pudding. I’m a fan of PB and I always try different cake, dessert, breads or pastries each time I go to PB.

Damn, PB is everywhere now! This particular location is conveniently located across from safeway/TJ’s with a good amount of parking during non-commute hours. Their selection is great and carries all of the usual favorites such as the cronuts and other good pastries. In addition, the store is super clean and has plenty of seating. Cant complain!

This Paris Baguette is probably a LITTLE cleaner than the one in South San Francisco. They still have most of the same baked goods as the other ones, but this place seems to be a little slow compare to the other places. I usually wait a little longer for my drink or for my bake, when I only had 2 people in front of me. It’s not a bad place with come and meet up with your friends because there’s so much parking in the back and in the parking lot near Safeway. My favorite item from them is the Blueberry chiffron cake. I feel the items at this place is sometimes too oily and pricy. My favorite location is still their Palo Alto location, which feels like a night club

Paris Baguette always has a fantastic display of pastries and other sweet treats. I stopped by here twice when I was in the area. This particular location is pretty nice and large with a generous amount of seating. The first time I came in, it was a little later in the evening around 9pm so it was pretty much slim pickings as far as food goes. Some of the items sitting out didn’t look too fresh or appealing but the stuff I got tasted just fine. The second time I came around was around 10 in the morning and the place was pretty packed with diners but not too many people in line. This time there were plenty of fresh items sitting out so I grabbed a whole bunch of pastries and also ordered a smoothie. As I was in a time crunch(trying to catch a flight at SFO), ordering the smoothie was a bad move. It took as long as 10 minutes for them to get the smoothie to me… but like I said earlier, there weren’t that many people in line so I wasn’t too impressed with them taking so long for something as simple as a smoothie. Overall though this is a good place to stop by after doing some food shopping at Safeway or Trader Joe’s to grab a bite to eat.

I knew what I was getting myself into when I first step foot into my first foray at a Paris Baguette. Carbapalooza! I tried their Noodle Croquette and Curry Croquette( ) and also ordered their Strawberry Milk Pudding. The two croquettes were interesting to say the least. They were both pretty dry, especially the Curry Croquette, although they were both pretty good as a mid-day snack. I did thoroughly enjoy the Strawberry Milk Pudding though. It was very sweet, but the portion is small so it was definitely enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Millbrae’s location is pretty well organized and spacious. It almost reminded me of more upscaled Sheng Kee Bakery with a French influence. I’d love to try more of their pastries and also wouldn’t mind just lounging here while enjoying a cronut with coffee. Overall, it was a good first experience.

This Paris is definitely better than the one in Westborough! A lot roomier so in my preference, better space to sit and study while I enjoy their pastries! If you’ve never been to Paris Baguette, this place basically sells adorable and awesome to look at pastries and bakeries. Their stuff is slightly overpriced compared to other bakery store like Sheng Kee. If this is your first visit, these are me recommendations: * Paris Pudding in a bottle * Cronuts * Castella(Japanese Cheese/sponge cake) Also this place seems to never run out of the cronuts, which is awesome because the other Paris usually runs out. Cheers!

I walk into PB for the first time. It’s disgustingly hot inside. No air conditioning. Place is a 1⁄3 full. Lots of goodies on display. Just left Trader Joe’s next door. Have groceries melting in the car. I see a small cake behind the glass that looks good. I stand in line to order that. There are two people in front of me waiting to pay. There’s at least 4 people standing behind the counter texting and not working. One girl cashier working. She is completely lost. I’ve now been waiting a solid five minutes to check out. Then the fun begins… A woman, probably in her mid 40s with long pants and jacket walks in. She’s disheveled, and confused. Greasy hair. I don’t think she’s had a proper shower in a month(which is both a sad and necessary detail). She starts wandering around the restaurant. At this point I tell the cashier if she needs help to get the manager. She still can’t figure out how to use the register or put items into a plastic bag. She doesn’t ask for help. BUT there are 3 employees less than 4 feet away from her on their phones not working behind the counter. All of them hear me and look at me but do not offer to help the cashier. They continue to look at their cell phones. Then the unknown woman strikes up to the cashier. She demands to have a menu. The cashier explains that the menu is on the board. The woman says no, I want a menu. Then she walks off. All of a sudden, some random employee flys out from the back with a paper menu. They obviously hear and pay attention to this unknown woman yet ignore me and the other paying customers in line. The unknown woman walks back to retrieve the menu and sits down at a table. There are plenty of open tables but she decides to sit next to a man working on his laptop and currently on a call. He awkwardly puts his back to the woman and continues his call. At this point she is now reading what’s on his laptop. Then she takes the laptop off from the table and puts it in her lap. Then she starts playing with this man’s laptop. All the while, I am still waiting to check out with my one item. Minutes later, the man notices that this woman has his laptop. He gets upset, starts yelling, the unknown woman says sorry and walks back to the register where I’m still waiting to pay. The unknown woman comes back to the counter and says to the cashier«I have a reservation for two for breakfast». The cashier says«you can sit wherever you want». The woman goes to sit down and then comes back a couple minutes later. Again, I’m still waiting to check out and there is no manager to help. The unknown woman says«there is no breakfast on this menu, I want breakfast. You only serve brunch. What is brunch?» I tell the cashier to get the manager. She refuses. None of the other employees standing by jump in to help. This unknown woman has taken over all the cashier’s attention. By now I’ve been waiting a total of 15 minutes to check out. After much back-and-forth, the unknown woman stops talking to the cashier and takes a seat. YES! It’s finally my turn. I tell the cashier what I want and I pay with my card. She can’t ring me up. She’s having problems with the receipt. It is now and only now the cashier finally calls upon the manager for help. The manager is literally 3 feet away on her cell phone. She’s been standing there the entire time. The manager, TERRA finally puts her phone down and approaches the counter. I then ask her if she is indeed the manager, to which she replies yes. I tell her that this situation is horrendous, place unmanaged, and staff untrained. I tell her that this is my first time here and that it has not been pleasant. I tell her that I’m going to Unilocal this experience. And the only word she can muster is: «whhhhhhhaaatttttt» with her hands flapping in the air like I’m speaking Japanese. No apology — no nothing. Are you kidding me? Who trained these people? I should’ve known better. PASS!

3.5 stars I’m a big fan of desserts and is always looking for some after dinner. I’ve been to Paris Baguette before and decided to check out the one in Millbrae. They were closing soon, but still had a decent selection left. I think they were trying to get rid of all the pastries because they were cutting up some of them and setting them out as samples. After trying most(okay, all) of them, I settled on a strawberry cronut and a two bite tart. The two bite tart was really good. Perfect size for if you just want to satisfy a sweets craving. It was a flaky pastry with a little bit of custard and 2 pieces of fruit. The strawberry cronut was pretty good too. I liked how sweet it was, and the pastry was nice and flaky, but it was super greasy, and I felt that way about most of the samples that they had out too. That’s why the dropped stars. I’m already feeling bad about eating sugar that late at night, but I don’t wanna taste the fat I’m eating either. Overall though, it’s could be a good place to hang out, and they have free wi-fi as well. i’ll probably come back earlier and give it a second chance to see what other pastries that have.

What’s not to love about Paris Baguette? Sold out cornuts? Hard to find parking? All worth dealing with for the baked goodness they offer for sale. After frequenting the SSF location off of Westborough Blvd for the last how many months, PB has opened a Millbrae location. For those familiar with PB, all the standard goodness we’ve come to expect is here at the Millbrae location. For those who are new to PB, it’s your standard Asian style bakery offering the grab your tray, wax paper and tongs, load up your tray and pay. They offer an amazing selection of cakes and desserts as well. Some of the more famous items would be their Coffee Bun, Blueberry Cronuts and Chiffon cakes. Call ahead or don’t come too late for the Cronuts which seem to sell out. Pros: Delicious baked goods Cons: Sold out popular items sometimes, busy parking by Trader Joes Bottom line: Delicious baked goods that never disappoint

9AM in the morning on a Friday. Lines were around the rope. Almost nothing to choose from in the bakery counter. Most of the stuff were already gone. The only leftovers are stuff that are packaged which don’t look fresh from the same day. Cakes were available. Took forever to make it to the counter…

Love Paris Baguette, and glad it’s in my neighborhood now… Soft opening today, so I picked up some pastries for myself and some friends. Have yet to taste it, but they look super fresh and piping hot from the oven. The back of this Paris Baguette locations shows off the entire kitchen so you can see all the action behind the scenes. Nice remodel as well… Looks like all the others(ie, Palo Alto, and SSF). Has some covered outdoor seating as well. Took over the old Children’s Place clothing store. Nice addition to Millbrae Downtown!
