Millwood Inn & Suites

On Thursday night June 9^th, I was so excited that I had planned to stay the night here and leave the car for 4 night trip. Upon arrival, I was told that I had not booked the correct room to leave the car… On their website it was so clear that I could sleep and park and get a ride to SFO. In my email receipt, it even gave me times of the airport shuttle. We checked in around 10pm and were so upset to learn that leaving the car was not an option because it was already full. they hold a whole TEN cars at a time. I wanted to cancel, but I had prepaid… forced to stay in a room that cost $ 230 and then looked up how much long term parking would be at SFO ($ 25/​day) UGH! I didn’t want to ruin my trip with this awful experience, and even tho the woman at the front desk couldn’t help, she could have tried to offer a solution or get me in contact with the owner or manager. Communication is key in everything. When the website sets the bar high, just to realize you’ve been taken advantage of leaves a bitter taste. The hotel itself was cute but I was completely upset with experience. The whole point of booking at this hotel was to park, stay and fly out. RIDICULOUS!!!

Having to rush for a short business trip and having problems with my credit card this hotel was able to accommodate my needs. Upon arriving the front staff gave great service and made me feel at home. I requested a shuttle pick up early the next morning and the front desk called to remind me that the pick up was on its way. Overall the room was clean, close to food areas, and the staff was excellent. Can’t wait for another trip out to the Bay Area.

Clean! I live it! Great amenities! Great location by airport but not on top of it! Nice, nice breakfast. Repeat-​clean!!! Only down, walls thin. Neighbors woke us up at 130. Could go back to sleep. Access is very safety conscience. Would stay again!!! Clean

This place is very unreliable in terms of being able to actually park a car while flying out of SFO. I went through the booking process on the parking package section of their website and booked a room. When I arrived, I was told I only had a room, no parking and even though they had open spaces, would not honor the reservation for parking. It was 9:30 at night and we had to be at the airport at 5 am to fly out early the next morning. So we were left scrambling to find a hotel that would allow us to actually park. The website was screwy apparently because instead of informing me there was no parking when I went to the parking package booking button, redirected me to another type of reservation, without informing me of that redirection. The clerk at the desk kept telling me well, we have been sold out on parking since October, which I had no way of knowing from their website and other information that only someone who works at the hotel and knows their system would know. No effort to resolve the situation and take it or leave it attitude. We left it and stayed at the nearby Courtyard Marriott in San Bruno where the rooms are nicer, there is food service at night and the shuttle goes directly to the airport, instead of stopping at a few other hotels before actually arriving at SFO. I would only stay here if there were no other options, which fortunately does not happen very often in this area.

Noisiest place I’ve ever stayed. Don’t book here if you want to sleep. Slamming fire and car doors constantly. Tiled floors outside rooms so that everyone with a rolling suitcase has another way to create noise.

Stayed here with friends after visiting Napa. It’s a small complex but very cozy and safe. It’s in a great area, close to everything (restaurants, Bart station). I’m very particular with the bed & pillows where ever I stay. We love the comfy soft bed & pillows which made our stay relaxing and had a well rested sleep. Our group loves the breakfast specially the variety of food available and the unforgettable waffle. Most of all we would like to commend the staff specially Precy from the font desk who provided us an excellent service. Highly recommended place to stay!!!

By the way, when do I stay in doesnt matters. The point is the staff who is a slim old lady that served me on those days do got a really bad attitude.
I stayed for couple of days in your hotel but none of the cleanings satisfied me. You didnt change the bed sheets nor blankets and I sawa the stains everyday. You didnt clean the bathtub while others did.
You do got a good place to live in but bad qualities in servings.

The only good thing about the hotel was that simple breakfasts were provided daily, but then the hotel was nothing but a a wreck. The toilet and the hairdryer were down within 4 days, and yet, we had to take care of that by ourselves. Worse still, the staffs were impolite. So, for whoever who are interested in this hotel, my advice is try your best to avoid it. You have much better choices around you, like aloft and Best Western plus El Rancho Inn. However, if you really have no choices but to stay here, please bring all the cleansing stuffs you need for the stay cos they don’t provide any of them.

We were unsure about this hotel before we got there because of the pics online. The front desk was very quick, kind and accommodating. The shuttle was quick and on time. The rooms have an Asian theme to them which was new and exciting. Everything was very environmentally friendly and smelled great such as shampoo and toiletries. The breakfast was delicious and really filled me up. Parking and access was great. This hotel exceeded our expectations! Try it out

Other than the very nice room that we were checked into the place is lacking in some ways. First of all, we’re in a drought. When we couldn’t get our hot water to run hot enough for our showers, we asked the front desk to check into it. When we followed up they said they checked into it and that we just needed to run the water 10 to 15 minutes long and then we would have the hot water we needed. I told the front desk I was not comfortable with that because we were in a drought and it didn’t really make any sense. We went back to the room to check again but they had not the addressed the problem we had. The hot water from the sink faucet got very hot but the shower hot water was just tepid. Also, there was an annoying clock radio phone system by the bed that kept clicking on and then shutting off. Couldn’t quite figure out how to fix that so we shut it off.

Very nice hotel. I was visiting SF for a cousin’s graduation in Berkeley and this hotel was very close and affordable (+military discount!).
Parking was good. I’m very picky about my hotel rooms and they have to be in a nice area with places around where I can eat some good food and I had no issues with that. The hotel room in itself was small but cozy for my husband and me. The bed was so comfortable. It has a refrigerator, microwave, long counter to place all of your things, a big chair to lounge in and the bathroom is a nice size. Very clean room I was very satisfied. The front desk receptionist/​concierge was very professional and polite. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

The owner was very friendly and helpful and the motel is conveniently located a few miles away from Google campus. however the room size was pretty small and certainly not worth the bucks they put it up for.

I was away for a few days by the bay area, as my dad & I were attending a wedding for a close family friend.
Lucky for us, the bride & groom had wonderful wedding information as they suggested two hotel locations — upon checking out the hotel suggestions, I ended up booking my hotel with the Millwood Inn & Suites.
I’m so glad I booked with this hotel, as a few things really stood out about this place.
This hotel provided —
1. Free Parking
2. Free Breakfast, and I’m talking about coffee, juices (orange juice, apple juice), milk, cereal, fresh fruit — (bananas & oranges), oatmeal, fresh waffles, pastries/​bagel/​english muffins/​bread, eggs, bacon, link sausages, vegetarian beans & yogurt. Not bad for a free breakfast!
3. Free Newspaper
4. Free Wifi
5. Friendly & helpful front desk.
6. Exercise Room (I did not use while I was there).
7. Hotel is located in a very safe neighborhood! (Always important!)
8. Close/​Near SF Airport, yet far enough so you won’t hear any airplanes.
9. Room had a — Large screen TV, refrigerator, iron board & iron, hair dryer, & coffee maker.
10. Hotel was in a very quiet location, so at night there wasn’t any excessive loud noises, great for a good nights sleep!
11. Very clean rooms.
12. Very close to stores (like Trader Joe’s — sorry folks… it’s a Hawaii thing! Lol!) & restaurants.
If I could wish for one thing; I wished the room was a little bit bigger as the room was on the smaller side… everything else was just perfect!
For 4 nights, I paid $ 622.24 (this includes occupancy tax, & tourism tax). Not bad at all for staying near the San Francisco area. If you folks ever stayed in the bay area, you probably know it’s quite expensive.
If I ever had to stay here again… I would not hesitate! I got a good nights sleep here while I was away from home… what more can you ask for?

Found this on Hotwire for $ 125 all in price.
Free parking and a really good buffet breakfast makes this a very good choice for an early AM SFO departure. No pool, but lots of exercise stuff.
Obviously, a really old motel made over very creatively. Still under construction, the décor is way more creative than the bland corporate fare like Hampton Inn and Hilton
Garden. If you are looking for something different and better near the airport this could be the ticket .
A nice touch is a mini library next to the computer by the breakfast room.

My husband and I stayed here last night after arriving at 1am into SFO. We originally booked this hotel because it had a free shuttle to and from the airport that ran late. We didn’t get to use it though because we arrived so late into the airport – we cabbed it for about $ 17.
We checked in late late but really enjoyed our check in experience. The late night gal was awesome and was gentle to us after traveling for over 24 hours. we were able to use our AAA discount for a great rate.
The room was average – but very clean and I really appreciated that! It was small but we were only in the room for about 7 hours.
We enjoyed breakfast in the morning – we had a waffle-​big Belgium waffles that you make fresh – sausage, eggs, beans, juice and coffee. There was also oatmeal, whole eggs, and Ben coffee syrup!
The only downfall – and it’s not directly the hotels fault-​but the shuttle was late this morning. We signed up for the 8:45 shuttle to get back to the airport and it didn’t come until 9:25. So although the hotel doesn’t have control over this-​they do pay a service to have this company represent them.
To summarize – clean, quaint hotel with fantastic customer service– with a decent breakfast. Do plan a little extra time for the shuttle so you don’t miss a flight.

Just finished my stay at Millwood Inn and Suites. Wasn’t sure what to expect booking on
. The hotel is clean, free airport shuttle, wifi, and a good breakfast in the morning. What more could you ask for? The rooms are decent sized with plenty of plugs to charge your electronic toys. The tv is dish network with hbo I felt as if I was at home…
If you want a good economical hotel with these amenities and close to the Bart station check out the Millwood Inn and Suites you will not be disappointed… oh and I forgot to mention the courteous and helpful staff…

I’m giving Millwood Inn & Suites ⁵⁄₅ for being a fantastic 3 star motel (just to make sure it’s understood that this is 3 star motel, but the best of it’s class).
My connecting flight to Baltimore was canceled due to bad weather so I ended up stuck in the SFO airport. Since I was unsuccessful at waking up any of my San Fran friends or family, I was cruising Unilocal reviews for nearby motels that didn’t break the bank while contemplating sleeping at the SFO airport.
Curious by all the super high Unilocal reviews yet the fantastic deal Orbitz was quoting me, I gave Millwood Inn a ring, told them my situation and inquired about a potentially early checkin (by this time it was about 5am). They said they could probably get me in a room around 9am. Happy enough with this response, I gathered my things and went off to catch the shuttle.
I arrived at the motel around 6am. I apologized to the two women that greeted me for being early but explained I just couldn’t hang out at SFO any longer. Immediately, either the motel’s owner or manager, I’m not sure, went into mother mode. She offered to hold my bags and my hoop behind the counter and ushered me into another room which held a massive breakfast spread. She said authoritatively yet kindly, «You eat, I’ll get in you a room quickly.» I enjoyed a very full breakfast and some delicious hot tea and accidentally fell asleep at the table. They let me sleep peacefully and true to her word, within 45 minutes, I was in a room. It was not even 8am! I will be eternally grateful for this because I was a bit ill and exhausted.
The room was very clean, cute and comfortable. There was a large flat screen TV, microwave and fridge. I immediately KOed in the large bed adorned with fluffy and fresh pillows (I often check, don’t want any nasty stuff on my face). When I woke up mid afternoon, I drew a nice hot bath in the nice tub and did a little hooping in the parking lot and took off. Before I left I stopped by the lobby again to thank the lady and grab a toothbrush and toothpaste (which cost a very small price) and I was given a free bottle of water. I had lost my credit card (a total do-​do move) at the previous airport and this motel totally accommodated my situation on a cash basis, which is hard to do at some of the nicer establishments.
Check out was piece of cake and I felt so blessed I came across the Millwood I gave them a «Thank-​You» card before departing.
*A little note about the area — It mostly seems pretty safe around here. However during my short hoop session a trucker pulled up and after watching me for several minutes, asked if I wanted to hang out with him. Of course, I said no and promptly stopped hooping and went back to my room. Unfortunately right before I opened my door, he ran up to me (after parking the truck around the corner so I didn’t know he had exited the vehicle) and tried to get in my room, promising weed and other things I don’t participate in. I refused to open my door until after he left and then I left to hang out in downtown San Francisco and North Beach the remainder of the day, but I was totally freaked out. I was warned when sharing the story later that some creepers do lurk about Millbrae so if you are a woman hanging out alone, just be aware.
