I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and Andre & co. (owner) has always delivered, and done with a smile! He actually treats you more like an old friend or family! Prices are very fair if not lower than most places. I read the review by CL. S on 7÷22÷2015 and find this quite surprising, unbelievable and maybe vindictive! My wife and I and friends have had nothing but great service here! Andre would continually beat most prices and the fact that he would even work with you financially sets him apart from most places! I’m a real air breathing customer and found this place under dumb luck and there’s no turning back or fake reviews here! This is my car repair place! Only place open on Sunday nearby. Got there and dude was helping someone. Soon forms a line that becomes 5 people. Funny dude to talk to. I was in and out in about 10 minutes.

This place is fast. I pulled in the car and was greeted right away. In 8 minutes, the smog check is done. Very impressive.

Andre is THE BEST! He knows his stuff, does not try and cheat you, and is very quick with his service. I don’t know what the other person is saying that they are racist and try and cheat you. They are the nicest group of people and extremely helpful (especially to someone like me who doesn’t know too much about cars). If i ever have any problems I know who I’m taking it to!

DON’T COME THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! THIS IS THE WORST AUTO REPAIR IN THIS AREA; YOU SHOULD TRY OTHER PLACES BEFORE STEP IN THIS UNPROFESSIONAL & DISHONEST PLACE!!! WHAT I HAVE CLAIMED ON MY POST IS REALLY WHAT I EXPERIENCED AND THEIR SERVICE I RECEIVED!!! ALL OTHER 5 STARS COULD BE FAKE! TRY ELSE WHERE! OR COMPARE FIRST!
Now, I rather to share and type this long statement instead of being lazy is because I don’t want anyone else to suffer on this horrible service like what I had and it’s better to avoid this place from my advice!
Today: 7÷22÷2015
I talked to the mechanic Amir over the phone by this early afternoon at 2:18PM regarding the car inspection, he said it’s free cost, so I asked how much for the power steering pump, and the brakes? He responded come to the shop at 3:30pm, so I can speak with the boss, then, I arrived at 3:40pm and talked to the Caucasian, short haired, around mid 40’s of the age, not tall, inside the office. I explained what happened to him, he just never looked at me but showing me ignorant attitude and kept typing his things, I asked how much for the general inspection? He said $ 65 something which I think it’s reasonable but differed than who I spoke to over the phone, I tried to explained what happened, but he went very impatient and responded, «Bring it over!». I told him I can’t drive the car, the power steering is stiff I can’t make turns, it’s dangerous the drive with this poor condition specially at the afternoon with high traffic here, but I can try pull it over at your shop by late evening when the traffic gets lower? He yelled at me, «what’s wrong with your car? Can’t you drive it or what?» As i was being polite the whole time, but i could no longer stand with his rude and ghetto uneducated attitude, so I left this horrible place immediately. I didn’t know much about cars that’s why I was there for help and I would be more than willing to pay as long as they done the job right, but worse off, he didn’t even want to listen at first!!! Why? Because I am Asian? I really felt that he was being a racist.
Anyways, here’s my conclusion of this horrible place :
1. They are not professional: as they advertised «diagnostics & brakes» but don’t even know or don’t even want to know my inquiries.
2. Bad service: as the caucasian aka the boss has no patient at all!!! very rude and ghetto. unwelcoming and extremely unfriendly!
3. Dishonest to the customer: as one price on the phone but come out with another different price in person!
To Amir: You witnessed everything happen at beginning to the end. I am wondering, how can you stand with this jerk? Work elsewhere is better for you! I know a couple smog check places and I can refer you to the one located in South San Francisco, if you need let me know.
Guys! don’t come this place for repairing your vehicle!!! there are bunch of auto repair shops near by this area, for example, I have tried the Speedee for smog inspection, 76 (from the across) for price inquiry, and California auto center for air filter and oil change, and they were just much much way better, cheaper cost, more reliable, more welcoming and friendly than this joke! The reason I stepped in this horrible shop was because it’s closed to me and plus Amir had a deal on my inquiry! There is no way I can trust on their mechanic professions based on their (He’s) poor behave and ghetto attitude.
Again! what a horrible experience! i still can’t believe what i have just been treated!
I compared to the 76 right across street from this place, they are more professional on what they could help on my situation, and charge me $ 40 for the inspection also the fee can apply to the parts repairing and replacement, the manager Rob explained what I need, and much much better attitude and friendly service! I also called and spoke to California auto center, they quoted me for $ 100 inspection, but the attitude and service from Ryan was polite and service oriented he said if the price comparison is reasonable; they will reduce. I also called Millbrae tire and auto repair which is the next door from this horrible shop! I spoke with Tony, he charges around $ 150 but still, better service, attitude, professional explanation and patient!
To me, this Millbrae auto repair center is the worst auto repair shop I have ever been to seriously !!

Andre calls himself Speedy Gonzalez and he lives up to the name. I was in and out of the shop for a smog in 20 minutes and that was because a car was ahead of me. Thanks for the fast and friendly service!

Andre is great. Nice local, family owned business. Everything from smog to repair he has taken care of me. Always very honest and fair priced. He does good work and has went above and beyond what I’ve expected given previous experiences at other shops. Come here, ask for Andre and he’ll take care of you.

Both a Star smog station and the cheapest price for a smog check within the immediate area. Extremely quick service and friendly owner!

STAR approved smog test stations are harder to find, so I was happy when I ran across this place with reasonable prices and great Unilocal reviews!
The place has a nice, clean waiting room — complete with a bathroom, water, television, and magazines! Not to mention, the gentleman managing the place is super friendly.
Prices state $ 69.99 inclusive of the certificate, but the friendly gentleman quoted me $ 59.99 — and I only ended up paying $ 49.99 with the additional coupon that I had!
In and out within 15 minutes — love this place much more than the previous place in Burlingame that I had tried two years ago.

Everyone here was very friendly and informative. I got a smog check and had my car checked to see if there were any other issues. They offered the best price in the area and matched the smog check price elsewhere. I had no issues whatsoever. This was my second time there and both times I didn’t have an appointment and they took me right away. Very nice team and were very honest with me. I highly recommend a visit if you need work done on your car.

I’ve been in twice for a smog and I like the people there. My car failed and they spent over 1.5 hours finding a small leak and only charged my $ 80 which is very, very reasonable. As far as Winnie’s comments (above): there is a coupon for a $ 39 smog which is why others were being charged less. The people there are not scammers. Just bring in your coupon, Winnie.

GAH! SHADY MECHANICS. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! I don’t think I have been this mad in so long! I will never be going back to this place, EVER!
My car needed a smog check and I had Unilocaled several places. I had originally wanted to go to a place down the street but they were completely booked for the rest of the day so, I had to settle for this place. When I got there, the mechanic had told me the smog check was 49.95. (which is more expensive than the other place i was hoping to go to.) I was sick of driving around so, I just told him to go ahead. When I was in the office, there were receipts in front of me of smog checks they were doing for 39.95. When he came back in, I asked him again how much it was bc his english wasn’t great and I thought that maybe I had misunderstood him. He told me it was 39.95 ($ 50 with the certificate as well) So, I let him continue with the smog check. I paid him and he even gave me back $ 10 change. When he handed me the receipt, he told me it was back to 49.95 (and a total of 59.95 with the receipt) and made me give him back $ 10. I politely asked the man why he charged other people 39.95 and and why I was charged 49.95. Its not even about the ten dollars. I would’ve been fine with him charging 49.94 if that is the price he was charging everyone, but it was OBVIOUS that he was trying to rip me off. I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF. I will not be coming back to this place EVER. I need my oil changed in a couple of weeks and I would rather pay more than to go to this shady place again. I should’ve gone with the place that other Unilocalers had recommended. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHADY PLACE. SAVE YOURSELF.

i went to this shop to have my car tested for smog, i brought in a coupon for w/​c i accidentally found in the mail mailed to me said to myself why not? so i came in used it and unfortunately my car did not pass the guy who looks grouchy says do you have a mechanic? i said yes, he says «i can diagnose it for you for $ 90» why it didnt pass. I asked him are you going to credit the $ 90 towards the repair if i get it fixed here? he says «no»
I said to him let me think about it and left. Went to my mechanic and he says there seems to be nothing wrong with your car and it drives fine, i came back to the guy for a retest, he says «nope, it failed again.» i was very frustrated and sort of forget about it for a few days. One day i was driving on the freeway my car overheated, came out and checked my coolant and found it totally empty! and the cap was loose!!! like someone just opened it and just put the cap without tightening it, just realizing it was this guy from the smog center who checked it last.
This guy is up to no good, never use this guy especially if you are using a promo coupon!!! he will make your life difficult! I would never ever come back to this guy and would never recommend it to anyone.
Did not get the name of the guy but i believe he is the owner, an older guy.

This place is conveniently located off the Millbrae exit on El Camino and next to the BART station. Brought my car here for a smog test and they were speedy, friendly, honest and reasonable. They also do auto repair and auto detailing.
There is a diner next door if you want to get a bite while you wait or you can just watch TV in the waiting area of their office.
