Meet the Business Owner
Mark M.
Business Owner
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1956.
Attended Nishimachi International School and American School in Japan where I received bilingual and bicultural education.
Graduate of San Francisco State University and University of San Francisco. I have been living in wonderful San Francisco Bay Area since 1973.
I have thirty plus years career as North American meat exporter and recently as an importer of Miyazaki and Satsuma wagyu from Japan.
I always had interest in restaurant business and Bashamichi was made only possible with partnership with Moriki and Kaoru Sakima and my wife Lisa.
I really want this restaurant to be an expression of my Japanese and American bicultural appreciation through tasting of savory dishes.
Looking forward to your visit!
Mark
