I brought my girlfriends laptop to replace a broken screen. After researching and and reading the great reviews on 711 Computer Repair. I felt comfortable to bring my girlfriends laptop to get it fixed here and not over pay. I was very impressed with the customer service and the rates that Steve provided. The repair was very fast I am very satisfied and will be back. Thanks again for the great service Steve.

This is the first negative review of any sort for me. My macbook pro would stuck at flashing folder with «?». I took it to this repair shop and asked them to diagnose what was wrong. The guy «Ron» told me my hard drive failed so I’ll have to replace a new one. My husband meanwhile was doubtful and called apple repair service and asked for the quota and the likely price they told him around was 100 but these people told me $ 200 so i immediately texted them about the apple repair and told not to format my hard drive. How would i know they would format my hard drive without my consent. When i went to pick up my laptop i didn’t think about the formatting. After i went to apple repair they told me the hard drive was completely fine and everything would be resolved for $ 50 bucks. After the repair i realized 711 Computer Repair (Ron) formatted my hard rive and i lost everything as i don’t even back up my stuff. So i called the store, the owner of the store picks up and asks for $ 50 to give my data back and which I never consented in the first place to even format my hard drive. I told him i can give him $ 20 bucks since you misdiagnosed my computer. They guy insists and threatens me the call was being recorded, but for what and who authorized to record my call? He kept on talking trash with me and I finally gave up. I would never ever recommend anyone to this place. If you need professional and knowledgeable place this is not the one.

I’ve been using my laptop for quite a while. In today’s tech world, when the new IPhone model comes every year or so, my laptop can be easily called a dinosaur:) And one day It decided to die. I did my research online and figured out it was the mother board. So I ordered it on Amazon and came to 711 computer repair. Steve said that he would need 2 days to fix my laptop and that it would be $ 75. He didn’t ask to pay forward which was really cool. When I came back, it turned out that it was not the mother board, but the keyboard water damage. And it is much pricier. Steve never charged me, and I really appreciate him spending time on my laptop. Also, he gave me some useful advises how to get the information stored on computer back. Great customer service!
I believe it’s worth mentioning I have never used my laptop again. After all, technology is easily replaceable.

My laptop wouldn’t load past the little flag logo. Just straight up nopenopenope. Safe mode wouldn’t work, nothing worked. Best buy and office depot and everything else charged like 80 $ to CHECK and added on another $ 100+ to fix the problem. Then on my way out of office depot I spot this small yet amazing place. Fixed it in less than a day and he returned it like new. I think he even cleaned and dusted it off LOL. Friendly and respectable guy too. Def will come back for any future problems. 50 $ will get your computer up and running regardless of the problem. Will recommend the hell outa this place.

I had my hard drive replaced by them. I said to then to put my photos music data on there and the forgot the music. So they kept my hard drive to do the music. Did that but then wanted me to drive from sf to get or pay for the envelop and postage. Now that is BAD business. U made a mistake u did do what was asked and now u want me to pay for it. Wrong. I did not like that about them. I would not go back nor would I recommend anyone. So for 5 dollas. U lost my business and my referrals. I would hAve absorbed the 5. If u do use those people make sure u write down and be clear what u want from them.

These guys are great. Steve was very helpful and attentive. He called twice to update me and was very careful to make sure I understood what was happening with my laptop. Not to mention the fact that they identified and fixed the problem for $ 50.
If you live anywhere on the Peninsula, this place is your laptop repair solution.

This is one of the great and cheapest service I’ve ever seen. They fix it really fast, took me only one days to fixed my laptop works properly. I got paid $ 75 for parts and everything work included free diagnostic as well.

Fast service. Very short and simple parts plus $ 50 regardless of how long it takes to fix. So you have peace of mind that you’re not going to get burnt by labor charges which is known in the service industry and also turn around time and choices offered is great.

These three guys are great. I brought in my laptop that had a stuck spinning wheel that prevented me from opening any of the programs and got it fixed for $ 50. Carlos said it was probably a virus. The last time I took a laptop to a repair place (I am pretty sure it was Staples), the quoted me close to $ 200 to remove a virus. At that time I ended up buying a second laptop. I wish I had known about them before. As other people said, don’t be put off by the «building» they are housed in. The work is good and the price is right.

I had a severe laptop problem that required real expertise to fix. To complete the repair, you had to disassemble the back and front parts of the laptop case in order to access a system board, temporarily remove the board, solder on a replacement component, and then re-​assemble everything.
These guys did an amazing job, and all for $ 50. I can’t imagine taking a laptop repair anywhere else.
BTW, don’t be discouraged by the small drop off hut, serious repair work happens off-​site!

Had to search far and wide to find someone who would work on a Tablet, and these guys do. Then found (to my pleasant surprise) the work is guaranteed. If they can’t get it working, there would be no charge.
Carlos (their tablet guy) spent a lot of time finding the replacement MicroUSB port, then installed it. That all worked fine and the computer seems to charge again, but it would not turn on. Seems to have another problem beyond the broken port. Not worth fixing, so they are returning. Even with all the work he did, there wasn’t a charge to me.
Next time I need computer ot tablet work, I am going back. Good to know there is a place that will only charge for successful work (and the charge is very reasonably to boot).

My laptop had serious virus. These people rebuilt my laptop, and restored some files. So, I didn’t need to be stuck w/​it because there were some confidential information I couldn’t erase, and I couldn’t throw it away even I didn’t mind buying a new one. This was only around $ 150.
Then when the DVD drive broke and couldn’t read any more. I got a free diagnostic and was advised to buy an external DVD drive. I only spent like $ 15 on eBay to get one.
The people are Godsend for computer! Thank you very much 711 Computer Repair staff!

I was in need of a computer backup and virus cleanup. This tiny shop was recommended by a friend and now I can’t wait to tell others about it.
I spoke to 2 different guys who were very pleasant, honest and knowledgeable. I was quoted the cheapest price and that’s what I paid. No surprises and no pushy sales.
When I came back to pick up my computer they had a line of customers and the place was busy with other pickups. The guys worked quickly and courteously out of the tiny shack. I’m still blown away by the speed and cheap price.
