Specialties
Specializing in orthopaedics and arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Andrew Sams opened The Sams Clinic in 1999 with a vision of a first-class veterinary clinic that emphasized advanced veterinary care and minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment whenever possible. In 2009, a highly progressive anesthesiologist and pain management specialist, Dr. Alex Hawley, joined Dr. Sams, making his vision for the clinic a reality.
We specialize in orthopaedics and arthroscopic surgery, anesthesia, pain management, and rehabilitation, including core strengthening, conditioning exercises, and hydrotherapy.
History
Established in 1999.
In 1999, Dr. Sams started his own surgery practice in the California Bay Area. During those first years, he practiced out of notable veterinary facilities in both San Francisco and Marin counties.
In 2004, the doors were opened to The Sams Clinic, a beautiful space that was completely remodeled to fulfill Dr. Sams vision. From the beginning, the goal was to provide state-of-the art veterinary medicine, with an emphasis on minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment. It was, and still is important that The Sams Clinic provide a comfortable environment where people can feel confident their pets are receiving the best possible care.
