I have been to this place a few times and each time the service is excellent and they seem to have everything. I rented a Rotary hammer with bits that I ended up not needing. He charged me nothing. Nough said!

THE BEST! I’ve been renting from Tam Tool and U-​Haul for going on 6yrs now. Not only is it a pleasure to walk in and be warmly welcomed EVERY TIME, but the outstanding service and hospitality provided, makes you just want to rent anything for whatever reason for a pick me up! :) There is nowhere in the Bay Area I would rather find myself in need of a tool, truck or trailer, than here. Thank you Tam Tools and not just for reminding me each time about the telephone poll when backing up!

I had a bunch, and I mean a BUNCH of boxes to move from San Anselmo to a shipping terminal in South San Francisco. Got ahold of Chris and Evan from Tam Valley U-​Haul. I rented a cargo van, and without really lifting a finger on my part, 49 boxes, 1,675lbs, 200 cubic feet of goods magically moved from my house to the freight terminal in SoSF. No hitches. Chris was the puzzlemaster who managed to get all these boxes into the van (it was close, but they did it. Cheap. Honest. Helpful. Hard-​working. Yeah.

I’ve dealt with these folks for 20 yrs, for everything from wood splitters to floor sanders and chainsaws, and find their service and rental gear quality to be absolutely outstanding.
They worked with me to remedy some obscure gremlins in my Cayenne SUV trailer wiring (Porsche’s fault — these guys were right) and always give fine instruction on anything they rent, with plenty of accessories (e.g., sanding pads) readily available.
They’re great for UHaul rentals especially. and absolutely amazing compared to UHaul Corte Madera (avoid that place like the plague… subject for a future 2-​star review). Tam Rentals is 5-​stars for sure!
