I like May Lee’s. I have a fear of bad Chinese food and May Lee’s is pretty good. It is my favorite in the Mill Valley area for several specific reasons: 1. The food tastes fresh and healthy. 2. The menu is eclectic and interesting with items that I like. 3. The food is cooked consistently. 4. They also provide great value Japanese food and sushi. 5. The food does not taste like someone does not care. They do! 6. My wife is very picky about Chinese food and luckily she approves. 7. For take out the food is well priced and a good value. Try them out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The delivery driver was 30 mins late and I told him that, and that I wasn’t going to tip him when he asked for a tip(bizarre). He then started to scream at me aggressively! I was so terrified and triggered.(People screaming at me is my #1 major trigger to self harm I’m also bipolar.) I was so frightened I gave him some money just to get him off my property. I feel robbed. I couldn’t even taste the food I ordered because I was so shaken. This business is scary and treats women very badly. I will never eat their food again for fear of a similar experience. Ladies be careful. They hate women.

Conveniently near the Muir Forresr. Starbucks is located next to it. Plenty of parking. Well priced and good portions. Friendly person who took my order. Looked like they had repeat customers. They gave me hot tea for free with my order. Their lunch deal are well priced if you are on a budget like me. The hot and sour soup was good.

We tried to use May Lee’s with Grub Hub. What they don’t tell you is that Grub Hub doesn’t use all their own drivers. So, we waited over an hour and ½ for the driver. We were given various reasons — the previous delivery didn’t have the correct credit card and the driver waited 15 minutes for the order; Grub Hub took no responsiblitiy since it wasn’t their driver. All in all — what a waste of money and time. No one took any responsiblity for the late delivery. For Chinese food.

Fast delivery and pick up! Japanese food great!!! Chinese appetizers are great. Chinese dishes are good but the white sauce dishes is bland.

Great go-to Chinese spot. My boyfriend works in Tam junction and picks this up on the regular. Service is always fast and consistent. Good vegetarian/vegan options. Food isn’t greasy — no gut-bomb effect. I’d recommend sweet and sour tofu and Sichuan eggplant. We’ve ordered to go and pick up a bunch of times. It’s always been on time. Staff can be a little salty, but they warm up — definitely give this spot a try!

If I could give less of a rating I would! We waited over an hour and called in. First of all the man was SO rude! Yelled at us saying«we dropped your food at your home» WHAT? Well, no one called my cell. There is no food at our door. So we say you must have dropped it somewhere else. He shouts that he doesn’t know what we did and will call the driver. We wait, call back, asking«what did the driver say?» He is now screaming at my husband so loudly that I can hear him through the phone when I’m in the living and my husband is in the kitchen. «I HAVEN’T CALLEDTHEDRIVER! ITISATYOURHOME!» Honestly, the most absurd thing I’ve ever witnessed. So we contacted through grub hub that we never received our food and need a full refund. But honestly, this was so annoying that I had to also write about it on Unilocal.Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Ok, first off, the order took an hour instead of the 30 min like the email said. 2nd the delivery guy had the nerve to ask me for a tip after they took so long with out a call. I told him why and he continue to argue…3rd when I opened my order, they got the order wrong, I ordered the beef chow fun, not the combo(I’m allergic to shrimp and didn’t feel the need to put that on the notes since I ordered beef). 4th, the chow fun noodles were all kind of wrong, they were hard and small. And no Bok Choy! I just wanted Chinese food delivered while I worked on my project but instead I get argued with for a tip that was not deserved. And I paid for a plate of food that I can’t eat. Thanks old man for arguing with me with for your tip, you should of double checked for the order before you came all the way here, if I were in the restaurant I would of had it returned and depending on your attitude I would of tipped you appropriately.

Delicious, spicy, affordable Chinese food, I always get it for lunch when I am working in the area,(electrician). My favorite is the garlic chicken with vegetables. Meal always comes with a good soup, service is fast and not overly friendly.

First time taking out some may lee chinese lunch special– garlic shrimp and calamari. pleasantly surprised– looked like only one shrimp but the take out container is deep. Had 5 whole shrimps and about 4 good hunks of squid, mixed in with water chestnuts(Yess love the added texture dimension), carrots, onion, mushroom, squash, peas, and one jalapeño pepper slice. Ample garlic sauce to mix with the rice. Was ready for pick up within 5 minutes. Took one star off because I found a tasty bit of pork scrap that was probably left over from the wok before. No biggie for me, but I can understand how it may peeve others. Also, I noticed an effort to devein the shrimp, but two of the shrimp had half of their poop chute half hanging in(I still ate it).

I was hoping that the food would be good because I live a few minutes away, but the food was not good at all. It was very greasy and overly cooked. For the price I was expecting something a bit better and more edible. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Probably the worst sushi and Chinese I have ever eaten the guy up front is very rude and tells you to go get your drinks and sits down doesn’t say anything else doesn’t offer you anything and brings the food and the miso is so salty my boyfriend and I only took one sip and he almost threw up I got a sushi roll and the fish was old and tasted really bad and the rice was hard they have no customer service and I would recommend McDonalds over this disgusting place

Going into this place, I have to say, we were slightly terrified. By slightly, I mean, we were completely terrified of what we may be consuming. The restaurant had one old man working seemingly everything. Honestly, it wasn’t the most beautiful place. Rather dull, pink walls, a few tables(with no customers) and that’s about it. We ordered at the front and sat down. Soon after our food arrived and instantly I knew we found a treasure. Both the twice-cooked pork and pork fried rice were amazing! The rice being a little on the buttery side, but overall, probably one of the best Chinese meals I have had in ages. If I lived in the area I would do takeout constantly. My take away is, don’t eat here, order pick up or to go and you’ll be quite happy. The food is A+.

It’s easy, good variety, and convenient but food is very hit and miss. Some dishes are ok(the Ma Po Tofu and haha the Egg Foo Yung), but others are really quite terrible(the Sweet & Sour Pork is actually kind of disgusting). I’ve never been bold enough to try their sushi. In general, I believe their food is not very fresh, and the quality of meat is bad– hard and lots of gristle, etc. The ambiance is horrible but typical of a quick-order Chinese joint. If their ingredients were better quality, most everything else could be overlooked. I only get food to go from here, and only if I’m real hungry with a craving, and stick to what I know is relatively«good».

Unilocal100CHALLENGE201453⁄100 I’ve eaten here a handful of times and like the food. They lose 1 star for the building which is very old and rickety. The chairs are held together with duct tape and the interior of the place is hardly attractive. BUT, the food is good. They lose another star for the lack of customer service skills. The guy who is always at the front counter is frequently rude and unfriendly. If you can look past those things, the food is good, with large portions. I will definitely be back.

We occasionally turn to May Lees for delivery however after tonight I will never order from them again. Their delivery man was irate from the moment I answered the door, immediately demanding a tip. When I asked for the credit card slip to add it he became even more angry and demanded cash. I apologized because I didn’t have cash because I was planning to add it to the card, and he continued to demand a tip. He became so angry as to be threatening and honestly it actually scared me a little. I have never experienced delivery service anywhere near this bad!
