This is our go to place when my 5 year old has the day off from school or an afternoon free. It is a relaxed environment, and my daughter always loves doing multiple projects in one sitting. We’ve even had some play dates here, and the kids had a blast.

My 6 year old daughter had a fantastic time at Art Start yesterday. There were about 6 projects on display that she could choose from. She made a candle and decorated a canvas pouch. The owner was friendly and took time to show her how to make the candle, even though they were very busy. They also hosts birthday parties and have art-​to-​go in cute little take-​out box if you don’t have time to stop in. I highly recommend Art Start. Not only is it a fun and creative place for kids, but it is reasonably priced, and you can leave your child there if you need to run to the store or grab a coffee.

Art Start is a wonderful place for children. There the children are able to express their creative side and possibly find talents you didn’t know they had. There is always a project of the week to get their creative juices flowing and the rest is up to their imagination!!! My boys love Art Start! I love that she does drop offs so Moms can go grab a coffee at Starbucks/​Jamba Juice or pick up a few grocerys at the local store. I highly recommend Art Start to any mother with young children!

I have to agree whole heartedly with the other two Unilocalers about Art Start. My 7 year old twin boys often like to go out and play sports but once and awhile we like to tap the creative side and this is the perfect place. It’s totally geared for kids and most importantly, my kids love going there. Plus, it’s conveniently located next door to Starbucks, Safeway, Jamba Juice and a couple blocks to Whole Foods.

Art Start is perfect. The atmosphere is so «art studio» like in a wide open room with high ceilings. The owner is a real artist herself, and she is great with the kids as well as providing an endless array of fun projects. It is so much more fun than trying to do this at home (yelling about spilled paint, worried about glue on the sofa, and trying to smile at the same time!) that it can be habit forming to you and your little ones. The drop off and shop (or coffee break) is priceless…

Art Start has been wonderful! The kids come in and do projects and walk away with a beautiful candle or creative painting. You can even drop off for a bit if you need to run an errand. The owner, Susie and her staff are really helpful and will strive to make any experience a good one. I highly recommend this studio to any child. I wish they had one for adults!
